Avoid This Hotel – A Truly Awful Experience
My wife and daughter, together with some of her friends, arrived at this hotel last night, and from the moment they checked in, the experience has been nothing short of appalling.
The staff have been consistently rude, aggressive, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help. The rooms were dirty, there was no electricity, and the air conditioning was not working. These are basic amenities that any hotel should provide, especially one that advertises itself as a five-star property.
When they approached reception to report these problems, they were met with hostility rather than assistance. At no point did anyone appear interested in resolving the issues or offering any form of apology or solution. The level of customer service has been shocking.
The food is also well below an acceptable standard. There is absolutely nothing about this hotel that justifies a five-star rating. In my opinion, it would struggle to qualify as a two- or three-star hotel.
The impression we have been left with is that, once they have your money, they have little interest in looking after their guests or addressing legitimate complaints. The lack of professionalism, courtesy, and basic hospitality has made what should have been an enjoyable holiday an extremely distressing experience.
I would strongly advise anyone considering booking this hotel to look elsewhere. There are undoubtedly far better options available. This has been one of the worst hotel experiences my family has ever had, and I cannot recommend this property under any circumstances.
One final point that I feel compelled to mention is that my wife, daughter, and their group are women who wear headscarves. Given the way they were treated compared with what we would expect from any reputable hotel, I cannot help but wonder whether this played a part in the treatment they received. I sincerely hope this is not the case, but it is a concern that has arisen from their experience and one that the hotel should take seriously.
The entertainment at the hotel is just amazing.. Arda, Aria, Sam, Alper...etc are so funny and friendly.. a big thanks for their quality time
Ants in Room everywhere, we told them, they told us they would Come clean in 10 minutes. They never came, the next day we never even Got the room cleaned, no clean Towels or nothing. 1 bar with 100 People in line for a soda. Other family beside us got a room full of cockroaches waiting at 02:00 for a cleaning or new room, even though they played more money for this room. Bad experience.
I genuinely don’t know where to start with this hotel. We booked expecting a luxury five-star holiday, but what we experienced was one of the worst hotel stays we’ve ever had.
From the moment we arrived, things got off to a poor start. We were charged an extra €20 for a pool view room and were told it had to be paid in cash. We then received no introduction to the hotel or explanation of where any of the facilities were.
The biggest issue throughout our stay was the complete lack of customer service. Staff were consistently rude, dismissive and uninterested in helping guests. Not once during our stay were we greeted with a simple “good morning” or made to feel welcome. On multiple occasions we were told things had “finished” – no cocktails, no ice, no bottled water, no butter for bread – and staff would simply walk away rather than offer an alternative or even check. At one point a bartender told me there was no ice for a mojito, then immediately walked to another sink, found ice and laughed in my face.
The pool bar was completely overwhelmed every single day. There were often only two members of staff trying to serve hundreds of guests, resulting in queues of 30 minutes or more just to get a drink. This wasn’t because guests were impatient – there simply weren’t enough staff. The hotel clearly doesn’t invest in adequate staffing levels, and as a result guests spend a large part of their holiday queuing instead of relaxing.
The sunbed situation was beyond ridiculous. Forget relaxing on holiday – you need to set a 4am alarm if you want any chance of getting a lounger. We came down at 8am on multiple mornings and still had to stand waiting in over 30°C heat for staff to bring more beds out. Guests were constantly arguing with staff because beds had been reserved long before 8am. The only people who genuinely tried to help were the housekeeping staff around the pool, who worked tirelessly to find guests somewhere to sit.
To make matters worse, after getting up at 4am for sunbeds, we were then woken up again by cleaning staff at unreasonable times in the morning, making it impossible to get any proper rest during our holiday.
The food was by far the biggest disappointment. It was cold, repetitive and nowhere near five-star quality. Soup was left sitting out from morning until night, flies were everywhere, and dirty tables and plates were left uncleared. I was violently sick one evening after eating in the hotel. Another couple we met said the food was so awful on their first night that they ate in their room, then went to McDonald’s the following day instead. We ended up eating out several nights because the thought of returning to the dining hall made us feel ill. Living off dry bread and chips is not what anyone expects from an all-inclusive holiday.
The bar area also had an unpleasant smell throughout our stay, as though it hadn’t been properly cleaned in years. Around the pool, we witnessed a manager aggressively shouting at a lifeguard simply because they had gone for a swim, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere for guests.
Unfortunately, the atmosphere created by many of the other guests also detracted from the holiday. We encountered numerous guests who were loud, rude and obnoxious, and there appeared to be very little done to ensure everyone could enjoy the facilities comfortably.
Ironically, the entertainment team were absolutely fantastic and worked incredibly hard to create a good atmosphere. The housekeeping staff around the pool also went above and beyond to help guests find sunbeds. They were the only members of staff who consistently showed any level of care or professionalism.
We were so unhappy that we emailed the hotel during our holiday requesting a refund for the remaining nights so we could move elsewhere. We never even received a response.
It’s worth mentioning that none of the staff ever seemed to have a break or even a drink of water themselves. They all looked exhausted and under huge pressure. However, that does not excuse the complete lack of customer service shown to paying guests.
This hotel makes claims about providing a luxury five-star experience, but in reality it does not even appear committed to making guests’ holidays enjoyable. From the poor service and lack of basic hospitality to the food, cleanliness and constant shortages, almost every aspect of the holiday was disappointing.
This hotel is absolutely not a five-star resort. In my opinion, it wouldn’t even qualify as a three-star hotel. The advertising is completely misleading and the entire experience is massively oversold.
I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, including my own family and friends. If you’re considering booking here, my advice is simple: avoid, avoid, avoid. Spend your money somewhere that genuinely values its guests and delivers the standard it promises.
Having booked, I foolishly read the previous reviews and was genuinely considering looking for alternative accommodation. I had the kids set up for disappointment. I had myself set up for a week of annoyance and arguments. None of those happened. OK, it's not a new hotel. But with the volume of visitors going through things are going to get a bit damaged and dirty. The rooms were cleaned every day, without fail. Sun beds were available, you just had to get up a wee bit early and grab one. Really no hardship. Have me an excuse for a quiet coffee in the mornings after my run. Never a problem with the lifts, but if they were busy... they have a stairs... always worked for me. The food was, thankfully better than anticipated. There was loads of choice (maybe too much) and, again, of you are on time, it's all there, fresh and ready. I can see how some UK/IRE people are disappointment there isn't a full all day breakfast at every meal. You are in Turkey... its how they do it here. Embrace something different. Queues at the bar during the day can some time be long in busy periods. They're are 2 other bars that were always available as well. Problem sorted. Maybe the bars wouldn't be so busy if people weren't getting 16 cocktails and letting them go warm in the sun? The spa treatment was expensive, but well worth a visit to exfoliate before exposure to the sun. The Parrot 🦜 photos were class. Remember folks, you are not forced into buying anything! Staff were very nice, helpful and courteous, book complaints there.
The long and short out it is, it's not a Mayfair 5 star, and you are not paying for that. It a large, family friendly all inclusive holiday hotel that does its best to make sure you have a nice time. Well done. ✔️
