Side Resort Hotel

We travelled as a family of 4. Two kids age 13 and 15. From the minute we arrived the staff couldn't be more helpful. We arrived just before 11pm. The lovely lady at reception told us to go and get a drink at the bar, then check in. Brilliant. We had an Aqua Suite in the Aqua building, the staff helped us with our cases and made up the beds in the living room. The rooms were very spacious, there is a kitchen area with tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. Dining table with chairs, a L shaped seating area (beds) storage area for clothes and a TV. The bedroom had the double bed (2 beds together) plenty of storage space and a TV. Both TVs had lots of channels to choose from including some English channels :). Both rooms had doors leading to the large balcony with views of the waterpark and pool. Also a spacious bathroom with a walk in shower. The hotel has a main pool area, this is where the good mood bar is (10.00-23.00) the pool area has a lovely atmosphere with aquagym, water volleyball and inflatables. There is also a covered child's pool. Plenty of sunbeds were available before 9am. People did reserve them early. At the other side of the pool there is another bar open 8am - 11pm and food serving doughnuts and flatbreads at certain times. There is another pool and bar, at the main stage entertainment area. I think there was also a restaurant there. Aw stayed in the Aqua building. Where the waterpark is. Waterpark is open 10-12 then 2-4. There is also a pool here, we used this pool alot. The Aqua building also houses the snack bar open 10am for drinks, then 12-4pm for food. Also have a games court here, this is where the foam party is. I found every area of this hotel spotless. The cleanest Hotel I've ever stayed in. The pools are crystal clear. The cleaners work all day, on an evening the sunbeds are lifted and the whole area cleaned. Well done 👏 We loved the location of this hotel. Turn right out of the hotel and you will find some restaurants and shops, maybe even a camel 🐫. Mcdonalds is a 5 minute walk. With various shops that sell everything!. The old city is a stroll away, walk for half a mile and you can get a golf buggy to take you to the old town. We used to walk down and get a buggy back. The old city is beautiful the harbour area is outstanding. The bus station is also quite close. We got a Dolmus (bus) to Kumkoy. Lots of shopping there 🤣

Food at the hotel. I think this is the best all inclusive food I have had. Breakfast time - in the main restaurants - Breads, cheese, meat, eggs (boiled, poached, fried and scrambled). Pancakes, cereals, croissants. Eggy bread. Outside there was an omelette station every morning. Superb breakfasts everyday. Loved it. Lunch in the main restaurant, buffet style again. We used the snack bar more. Evening meals in the main restaurant were superb. Buffet style again. With lots of options, chicken, fish, pasta potatoes. Also outside every night there there was a bbq. My favourite night was the Turkish evening. 🇹🇷

Trips, we booked a trip through the Jet2 rep. We did a trip that took us to a large clothing store (Dickmans), then Manavgat Waterfalls, we then went to Manavgat Market. The river cruise was next, absolutely loved it. It included lunch. Had to buy your own drinks and ice cream (didn't mind). The lunch was chicken or fish with rice,veg and bread. The boat heads along the Turquoise river to where the river meets the sea. Once there you can get off and enjoy swimming in the sea or in the river. Also sunbeds here for €2 each. Camel rides and water sports available. The trip also included a visit to the central Mosque 🕌 you didn't have to go in and could remain on the coach if you wanted. I loved this trip. The kids also enjoyed it much to my surprise. Well worth the £39 per person. Also got a private transfer to Land of the Legends one night. Its about an hour away from the hotel.

Overall this was a brilliant holiday. The hotel was spotless, the staff are very attentive, friendly and helpful. They work hard and deserve a mention. Well done x

Wifi in the hotel was excellent. No issues either.

This was our first time in Turkey and can't wait to return. Roll on next year :) Lots of cocktails and mocktails on the all-inclusive. Tea, coffee, ice cream. Cakes and sandwiches available before dinner. Also midnight soup 🍲 fridges full of water. Entertainment was superb 👏

Staff was very friendly. Food was good. Animation team was excellent. Would definitely recommend for families with children.

Calimera Side Resort is a beautiful, middle-sized family hotel in Side, Manavgat area. I went there with my 5yo son only but we quickly made friends with other parents and families. The activities are kids-friendly and engaging. All-inclusive covers everything one can desire - except for alcoholic drinks, I assume. I don’t drink, but I think it wasn’t free (if that’s important to you). There are three pools with a depth of 145cm and one for kids and toddlers 40cm only. Four beautiful slides in the aqua park and one slide for kids. The staff is friendly, quick and helpful. We felt taken care of. On the poolside, I have to point out Remzi who made sure safety rules were kept as some parents thought smoking in the kid’s area was appropriate. Remzi intervenes swift but still in a professional, friendly manner.
