Granada Luxury Okurcalar

Granada Okurcalar is not a 5 star hotel. I Will start by saying I have been to Turkey 8 times and stayed in many different hotels. THIS HOTEL IS NOT 5 Star or Luxury. I STAYED in Granada luxury Belek that was so much better. I stayed 7 nights recently with my 2 kids. I paid for the 2 bedroom sea view with balcony. Room 4306 was 2 rooms with a wall and door in middle which made the balcony on 1 side and no window leaving you in complete darkness at night. The AC didn't work on 1st night and was flashing red light all night when I asked for it to be fixed the maintenance man came the next day to fix it. The room was cleaned daily. However the maid would take 3 bath towels and only leave 1. Meaning had to chase up for more towels, toilet paper etc. In the end my daughter would just grab them off the maids trolley as the service was so bad. The mini bar was filled whenever they wanted not regularly. However they kept leaving alcohol in room. Told them on 1st night don't drink. Still alcohol bottle would appear. The staff even on reception don't speak English so communication is very difficult. The staff speak Russian and German and will rush to serve them tourists. Whilst staff ignored us and many times would speak turkish to us and when I explained we can't speak turkish they would look at us like really. Communication was extremely difficult and simple things that you expect from an all inclusive hotel like food and drink and getting served in bars or cafe became a headache. The room was in the old part of building and very outdated. The only elevator that went directly to our rooms went down into spa and every single time the lift door opened you got the male spa staff giving you unfriendly stares. I booked into spa for Turkish bath and massage the woman didn't have a clue and was a very uncomfortable experience. Cost €52. When the day before I tried to rearrange the appointment for spa as my kids wanted to go on tour. The rude spa man who was like can you pay now. I was like no I will pay before my appointment. The waiters and waitress in restaurant are very unhelpful and rude they wait next to you so they can clean the table before you even finish your food. The food was all catered to Russian and German tourists. THE FOOD in Granada luxury Belek was so much better. The service was so terrible from start to finish. Location is far from shops and malls. NO money exchange in hotel which is ridiculous the reception said she can change turkish lira for me. IF I HAD TURKEY lira why would I ask to change money? Security will make you use there own taxi and they rip you off. €15 we paid to go mall. The next day €12 to go to the same mall. The other guest especially the German and Russian kids run around and cut in line for food and ice cream and no one tells them to wait there turn. The hotel is very small don't let the pics fool you. Gets very over crowded at meal times. The food is put out once and does not get replenished so by the time you ate dinner the desserts are all gone. Ice cream fridge gets hidden away after a certain time. Waffles and ice cream only available 2-4pm where you have to join a line outside and have fully grown men with beer bellies cut the line before you get anything. The restaurant have set meal times and don't even think about being late as they will clean up and take the food away 15 mins before time is over. I found a empty pool which is accessible though the spa area and my kids had a good swim in that. On site shop is very expensive was charging €30 for sun screen lotion. Granada Okurcalar is not a 5 star hotel. ALSO NEED to drop the luxury from the name as no way was anything about this hotel luxury. Even bare minimum seemed like too much effort. Considering how much this holiday cost me I was extremely disappointed and wouldn't recommend it. All in all Granada okurcalar not worth the price they’re charging. In my honest opinion don't let the bright lights fool you there are much better hotels than this to stay in book somewhere else. The rude staff literally ruined my whole holiday.

We have stayed in many hotels, including higher-category luxury resorts, but this one truly impressed us.

The first thing that stood out was the excellent service and genuine care for the guests. You can really feel that everyone here wants you to have a wonderful holiday. The rooms are very clean, and our housekeeper was incredibly kind. The minibar is refilled every day, and not with just one bottle – it is always stocked according to the number of guests staying in the room.

The food was absolutely delicious, with a huge variety to suit every taste. I can’t really comment on the alcoholic drinks because I don’t drink, but I noticed that beer was served in bottles.

One thing that surprised me the most was that no one walks around asking guests to leave reviews. That shows confidence in the quality of their service.

Another big plus was the hotel representatives offering services such as spa treatments or shopping trips. They politely ask once if you’re interested, and if you say no, they don’t bother you again. We really appreciated that.

Although the hotel is very busy, there is absolutely no need to wake up at 6 a.m. to reserve a sunbed. We always managed to find one by the pool or on the beach.

A special thank you to the waiters on roller skates! They are incredibly polite, constantly checking if you need anything, and always serve with a smile.

Another thing we loved was that no one expects or asks for tips, unlike in some other hotels. Even the gentleman who cleans and organizes the sunbeds and tables works with a smile every day. Although he doesn’t speak other languages, he always greets you and tries to have a friendly chat in his own language, which makes the atmosphere even more welcoming.

We absolutely loved our stay at Granada Luxury Okurcalar. If we have the opportunity, we would love to come back and bring our parents with us because we are sure they would love it here too.
