Opened in 2009, the exclusive hotel Mardan Palace sets the tone for top-class luxury accommodation on the Turkish Riviera. It is located on a private beach in the renowned destination of Lara, just a short drive away from the centre of Antalya and the international airport. Playground of the rich, famous and powerful, the hotel boasts an impressive architecture and interior design in the style of an ancient palace, conjuring up the opulence of days past. The elegant rooms have views over the Taurus Mountains, the Da Vinci Bridge spanning the spectacularly landscaped, largest pool of the Mediterranean or partial sea views and are equipped with Hermès toiletries. For added convenience, features of the hotel include a 24-hour butler service, an eclectic selection of gourmet restaurants and bars, unrivalled spa and sports facilities as well as unparalleled service. Simply the perfect place for guests demanding nothing less than ultimate luxury.
I booked this hotel a week before we were due to go away and was very apprehensive due to the mixed reviews. We spent two weeks at the Mardan Palace hotel and had a wonderful time.
Yes, there are areas where the hotel is showing signs of needing maintenance, mainly around the pool, bathroom in bedroom, corridors to get to bedrooms on the 3rd floor, however these are little things and for the money this hotel is charging compared to others such as Rixos, Voyage, Regnum, I’m don’t understand why people are being so critical.
I also believe the hotel is being refurbished at the end of the season.
Our room was a standard room to sleep 4, our balcony was huge, by far the biggest balcony we have had when visiting Turkey for a similar room. Our room was tidied every day, some days cleaned, towels replaced when we left them in the bath. Mini bar re stocked every day and exceeded what we have had in other hotels.
Lobby is amazing, so many staff around to take orders, didn’t have to wait long if went to the bar, beautiful outside space too with what looked like new furniture. Very attentive staff and no need to tip. Entertainment in the lobby every night.
The main buffet restaurant was good, busy like all buffets, I do think the lay out of where the deserts are could be rethought, food was lovely and the selection was fine for two weeks particularly as there are other restaurants to go to. If you stay more then 7 days you get to eat in the Turkish and the Greek restaurant for no charge, there is also the 24hr bistro which we ate at a few times for a change, there is also the Italian snack area for lunch and the Turkish/mexican restaurant snack area.
I have seen comments that there aren’t many places to get snacks outside of lunch dinner - the snack areas remain open until 4 ( maybe later), all the bars give out warm nuts and crisps. There is a coffee shop which serves cakes and ice cream by the main pool, there is also a patisserie by the snack area serving cakes, icecream and waffles and a fruit bar. There is also the 24hr bistro.
Whilst we were there the WiFi didn’t seem to work at the lower end of the pool area if you were relying on it to use the QR codes, not an issue, lots of staff around taking orders, failing that lots of bars around the pool and swim up bar for people to walk to.
There is an arcade for kids with a bowling alley and pool table ( all free) with a bar and nice seating area next to it for parents, not advertised very well. My two boys 11yrs and 7yrs didn’t want to use the kids klub however my eldest did go to the teenage area to play pool, they both also joined in one of the activities which was held one day for the kids ( external company came in with robots ) My experience by going to other hotels in Turkey there isn’t much going on for older kids and this arcade/teenage area was fantastic, great way of doing something different with the kids.
The pools were amazing, not sure if they were heated but the temperature was perfect! Very good sunbeds, they all looked to be new, thick cushions on them. Towel stations everywhere and were of good quality
Bars gave premium branded drinks only, from what I could see, every cocktail that you wanted, you weren’t restricted to a cocktail-list like other hotels. Fridges containing water dotted around the resort and at every bar to help yourself to. Water left in room everyday. No wrist bands to wear either which was nice for a change. The atmosphere in the hotel felt quite relaxed, particularly compared to others I.e Delphin, there were plenty of sunbeds and staff regularly removed towels from sunbeds if there were no personal possessions left next to them.
What an amazing place!! Beautiful hotel, fabulous staff, they work so incredibly hard to make your stay perfect.
Big thanks to Murat Yüksel, he’s an absolute credit to the hotel. He made our stay extra special, ensuring we were happy and enjoying our family holiday.
Thank you so much Murat and team ☺️
Fabulous time spent at Marden Palace. This was our second visit. Some things have changed since the last time we came and I would say that the wattsapp group I got added into on check in was a great touch and extremely useful ! Each morning I would be notified of all the activities happening throughout the day , kids club information etc and I was able to message in with any request I may have had which was dealt with promptly and efficiently. I travelled alone with a 2 month old , 5 year and 9 year old, Highly recommend for anyone looking for the balance of luxury , family friendly and excellent food.
Aqua Marine is very good,we recommend, everything is more than perfect
Very good food, activities, staff, pools, etc
