We had an amazing time at topkapi palace hotel it’s our third year here. We are especially leaving this review for the lovely workers at Safir restaurant. Mr Yasin, Miss Jasmine and Mr Yunus provided impeccable service as well as the most friendly atmosphere and conversation. We have enjoyed it every year we have come here and they made this year especially special for us. The hotel is a beachfront hotel easily accessible all sun beds are included, towels too. Very hospitable hotel amazing staff and service. They also have a nurse on-site and a doctor on call.
Honest Review – Swandor (July 2026)
We stayed at Swandor in July as a family of four (2 adults and 2 teenagers aged 16 for 10 nights.
The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, The grounds are huge, immaculately maintained, and everywhere is clean.
Room
We stayed in a Family Deluxe Garden 2 Bedroom Terrace Ground Floor room
On our first night, I noticed ants in the room and even a few in the bed. I asked to change rooms, and this was sorted out straight away, which I appreciated. The second room was better, although there were still a few ants around on the tops If insects are something that would really bother you, I’d recommend requesting a room on a higher floor.
Our room cleaner was amazing and smiley (room 2131 We tipped her throughout our stay, and she always went above and beyond by keeping the fridge stocked with extra water, changing the beds regularly, leaving plenty of fresh towels, and creating beautiful towel and flower displays on the beds, probably the most friendliest person we came across all holiday.
Food & Drinks
There was a huge selection of food catering for lots of different nationalities, so there was always something to eat, The cake and dessert selection was incredible, a bit chaotic in the restaurant but to be expected and always managed to find a table
The drinks service in the restaurants could be a little slow, but once we tipped the staff they remembered us and the service improved a lot.
Entertainment
The evening entertainment was much better than at previous hotels we’ve stayed at, The pier is gorgeous and has entertainment on an evening, and during the day too. The party nights were brilliant, although if you want a table, get there early as the queues can get very long
There wasn’t much atmosphere around the pool area, which was disappointing we felt it was quite boring some days, The foam party was held outside the pool at another location, which seemed a bit bizarre and didn’t really create the lively poolside vibe we were expecting,
The entertainment team were lovely, but they didn’t really interact with guests around the pool, They weren’t walking around chatting, encouraging people to join games, or letting guests know what activities were happening. If you wanted to know what was on, you had to go and find out yourself.
The Downsides
Unfortunately, there were a few things that let the hotel down for us.
Gym & Facilities
The gym was newly refurbished and had everything in it It was actually better than the gyms we’ve had at previous hotels, which was a nice surprise.
The shops inside the hotel were as expected for a resort hotel — very expensive, but that’s to be expected
There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel and a taxi rank nearby, which was really convenient
We used the taxi operator who remembered us from previous years at Trendy. We paid €15 to go to the strip and usually around €10 coming back. The bus was only about 70p, so there are cheaper options if you don’t mind using public transport.
Service
This was probably our biggest disappointment. While some staff were great, overall the service wasn’t what we’d expected from a hotel of this standard. At times it felt quite poor, Even when checking out, there was no “How was your stay?”, no smile, and no friendly goodbye. They simply took our key cards and that was it.
Overall
We still had a lovely 10-day holiday, and the hotel itself is stunning. However, when comparing it to previous stays at Trendy Lara and Delphin Imperial, we found the atmosphere and service at those hotels much warmer and friendlier.
For us, Swandor is a beautiful hotel with excellent food and entertainment, but the service, lack of pool atmosphere, and overall guest experience mean we probably wouldn’t return.
As family of four we came to Swandor and to Turkey for the first time and really enjoyed our experience here. There’re many activities at the pool for both adults and teenagers. There’re fitness options like aqua gym and also different games like waterpolo and pool games. The whole animation team have been brilliant, very friendly and helpful, they told about the whole program and answered all the questions about activities. Many sunbeds around the pools so it’s easy to find a place for the whole family to rest and it doesn’t feel crowded even in the middle of the season. We loved the beach too, it’s clean and spacious and kids loved the pier and swimming in the sea. The food is delicious and there’re plenty of options. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Overall, great hotel for families and young people, you will never get bored and will always be able to find nice places to relax.
Time to wrap-up this one week stay in Swandor Topkapi Palace, a 900+ rooms resort located in Kundu-Antalya. The overall impression is very positive, and I will further develop the numerous pluses and the few minuses or margin for improvements. This rating is also made in comparison of several similar properties that we have experimented in the past few years, among which the Nextdoor Kremlin Palace (2 years ago). About the pluses : the territory of the hotel is beautiful, and a special mention to the beach and pier which is quite unique, with a bar and nightly live music, a nice way to chill-out in front of the sunset in a relaxing atmosphere. The catering is also a big plus, for its variety and its quality and the restaurant staff is well trained and caring. We also had the opportunity to experience two A La Carte restaurant and enjoyed both as they were not just a dull copy of the main buffet restaurant. Special mention to Hanedan, a really cosy and cool place to enjoy a diner far away from the excitement of the main restaurant. The rooms are of a good standard with comfortable amenities and a very good housekeeping service. I can testify that globally the level of the staff is very good and I must give a particular mention to Olga Sokolova, guest relations manager, who solved a few minor problems for us with great efficiency and professionalism. A few points of attention : we were not impressed by the quality of the shows, and this is probably a subject where there is space for improvement. But once again, this is our taste and how we compare it to other properties. One thing that one should know before reserving Swandor Topkapi Palace, is that it is a huge and very busy hotel, with probably close to 3000 guests in peak season, and therefore, even if the territory is huge, it is more or less busy everywhere. But we never had difficulties to find a clean spot to sit and rest, on the pool side or on the beach. Concerning the rooms, they are all facing an exterior corridor and the door closer are so strong that when closing they are banging loudly, if you are not cautious to hold them a little. This is creating noise disturbances, but we were lucky enough to be in a part of the hotel where we did not suffer too much about this. In a nutshell, we recommend this resort, it was up to our expectations and a good value for money in our view.
We stayed at this resort with our family last July. Until this incident, everything was perfect. The service was excellent, the staff was friendly, and everything else was great. But everything changed when our 9-month-old baby suddenly developed a very high fever. We asked the resort to call a doctor, but we were told that the doctor could do nothing for our baby. Instead, they sent us to a private hospital that clearly seemed to exist only to make money. To give our baby something as simple as Nurofen or Paracetamol, we were charged €800 in less than one hour. The service there was heartless and absolutely shocking. What disappointed us even more was that the resort reception did not offer any help, not even to arrange an ambulance during such a difficult moment. When my child’s health is at risk, I don’t care about overflowing plates of food or luxury facilities. Health and safety should always come first. I want to emphasize that we had valid travel insurance, but the private clinic they sent us to refused to accept it and demanded cash payment instead. They completely ignored our insurance. It was a total failure and a terrible experience. Ë I hope no other family has to go through what we experienced.
