This hotel is located in the tourist centre of Konakli. Avsallar is around 5 km away, while it is approximately 15 km to Alanya. Antalya airport is 100 km away. Taxis and buses provide access to an array of nearby sights. Built in 2006, this air-conditioned beach hotel comprises a total of 7 floors with 470 rooms. Amongst the facilities count a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a safe and a currency exchange desk. In addition, conference facilities as well as a variety of drink and dining options are also available. Further facilities include room, laundry and ironing services. Worst experience
Absolutely no go resort. Do not go! We stayed 7 nights and it was one of the worst experience we had. Check the mattresses, they have bugs in their mattresses that bit my kids. And in horrible condition. Staff is so rude , they need proper customer service training! The rooms are so dirty so keep an eye on your cleaner. Food is horrible that we couldn’t eat after 3 days. It’s not 5 star at all! I would give 1 star!
Max 3* Don’t go if English or want entertainment
I read the reviews about 2 weeks before going and I’m sorry to say you need to believe them :( it’s not all bad and I hope I’m leaving a fair review of our experience. My friend booked this holiday for herself, fiancé and 10 year old son. Myself and my son joined them as my partner was working.
Travel from airport to hotel was 2.5 hours in a private transfer and 2 hours back. As it was 3:30am.
Entertainment There’s 1 hour per night of entertainment in the amphitheatre 10-11pm. The first night for us was Russian karaoke. Could not understand a word. Second night bingo. 10 euros for 1 ticket. We arrived at 10pm and waited 40minutes listening to very loud techno music so they could stretch the time out. Then they brought out a PRIZE table consisting of wine and tea towels etc lol. We walked out. Turkish night was the only decent 1 hour of entertainment I would recommend going to that. My son was looking forward to the basketball and bowling alley advertised along with the usual water polo etc for the kids. There is NO basketball court…when I asked reception they said no, I showed them on their own map that they gave us it lists basketball court. I was then taken to guest relations who was very unfriendly and said they sometimes play it on the beach (they mean volleyball? Maybe) The bowling alley was out of action and wasn’t going to be repaired. No water polo for kids just huge male adults once per day. My son was so bored. I asked the kids club lady what there was for kids as it’s advertised for up to 12 years. She said that maybe she could do some face painting that afternoon if I could get enough kids together! I told her that my 11 year old son wasn’t into face painting so I would not go round gathering other kids for them. Absolute joke, not even any kind of court for football or anything. This place is supposed to be 5 star, don’t go if you have kids unless they want to swim all day, everyday. The pools are lovely, I read about the grit on the bottom, it’s not that bad. I didn’t buy pool shoes but my son did as it’s quite slippery as most pool sides are everywhere anyway. Also checkout the pool next door at the sister hotel, nice splash area for the kids. You can get to it from the snack bar or by walking along the beach. You are allowed to use it, we wasn’t told when we checked in but another guest told us thankfully!
WiFi was €25 per DEVICE for 10 days! We stayed 12 nights but just bought the 10 day package for my son. It was cheaper for me to use the o2 package I have from home and share a hotspot.
Staff Just not bothered at all, they will try to help but give up quickly if there isn’t an easy fix. I sat in reception on our second night with my son till after midnight so they would give me a kettle for our room. Obviously there was supposed to be one but our room didn’t have one. After I suggested taking one from an empty room they did that lol.
Spa Highly recommend the massage, myself and my son had two each, they will do you a deal on the price. Nice people in there.
Rooms Our room absolutely stank when we went in. There’s only the patio door for any ventilation. It turned out that it was our rusted toilet brush which I nearly vomited when pulled it up. I left it in the hallway that morning and by the time I got back the cleaner had obviously noticed and had thoroughly cleaned. It was better after that. Still smelled bit of mould and damp but wit was liveable. Rooms very basic but again it was liveable. Fridge is only on with the room card in so advise getting 2 room cards. They dont clean as in wipe the sides down etc but they do remake your beds and empty the bins everyday and sometimes change the towels.
Food The kids buffet is pasta, sauce, chicken/beef weird mix sausages and chips. Every single day. No nuggets etc. For the whole 12 nights we were there. Bland, same everyday food with no labels. Breakfast shockingly bad. Nothing freshly cooked on demand except fried eggs and cheese toasties cooked outside everyday weird! Theres at least usually someone doing omelettes or other fresh to order food. Lucky to get a table. Very, very lucky to get cutlery lol. Always a long pizza queue as a lot of people would take a whole pizza instead of a couple of slices. We ate out a few times and walked to Burger King twice..not our usual holiday food but you are very limited to what you can walk to. BK half the price it is as home btw. We found 1 single bar about 10 minutes walk away that did food. I wish we had found it sooner! You’re entitled to 1 à la cart night if you’re staying over a week. It’s a meat or fish bbq. We chose the meat and it was the best food that we ate at the hotel, definitely go there. No ice creams at this hotel. We found a freezer where they stocked them but never found them available. You have to buy from the hotel shop where he makes his prices up as he goes along. Usually €2 for most of the ice creams.
Alanya €22 euro by cab booked at reception. We went twice just to get some nice food and entertainment.
Bar Drinks were ok, different measures depending on the barman. Be prepared to get shoved out the way several times during your stay as people pushing in …both the Turkish and the Russians don’t seem to understand what a queue is. No fans in the pool bar area, it’s very humid and hot at night so definitely recommend taking a fan with you.
Overall we did enjoy our holiday as we just had to get on with it. I’ll never return to the Antalya region again, this was our second time in two different parts of it. Location has been bad both times and too many Russians. I’ll go back to the icmeler/marmaris areas next time we think of returning to Turkey.
Not a hotel for the English
Don't know where to start. Rooms. Check-in was fine and simple. Room was basic as it gets (which was ok). Beds were rock hard though. Aircon was ice cold and maids came in every day to make beds and chain towels. All the hotels though seem to have a competition on who can play the music the loudest and latest. Loud music played till past midnight on several nights(see the videos!!!). We were hounded to do the meet and greet with almost threatening text messages saying we wouldn't be given the checkout/transfer times unless we went. Basically they just try and sell you over priced trips,tours etc or get you to go to their mates restaurants and bars. Don't sign up to any. You can get them for more than half the price online or visiting othere shops etc or going direct yourself. We got a taxi/minibus for 8 prople to Alyana Harbour for 22 Euro each way. Booked through reception and got the drivers numbers when ready to return. Food. The worst part of the hotel!!! Dont get me wrong, most of what there was tasted ok but it was the same nearly every night. Nothing really different or new. Stews/casseroles, rice, chips, mash,pizza. Getting it was another thing though. Not enough tables, cutlery or staff. I saw stampedes to get to the food, arguements and fights over queues and rude people cutting lines. People piling up plate loads of food onto table and leaving most of it. Also once the main things were gone they were gone. After about an hour, half the counters were empty. Deserts were the generic sliced cakes which were like eating rubber. The odd time there was a better one people took all of them for their table. Pool Pools were lovely on the whole. Water was warm and pools plenty big enough. Only issue was there was also stones/grit in the big pools that i presume came from the beach which is stoney so always walking on it in the pool. The slides were ok but of the 2 big ones one was shut the whole time we was there so that was a shame. But again we saw fights and stampedes over the rings to go down the ine bigger one that was open. There were only about 6 rings provided by the hotel so big queues and some people not wanting to wait their turn. Sunbeds. We were a group of 8 and never really struggled to get about 6 together somewhere. Normal issues of reserved beds hardly being used in the best spots. Bars. Bars and drinks were ok but again a lack of staff sometimes saw long queues with only 1 person serving. Some of the staff were ok and friendly but some of them were very rude (unless you were Turkish or Russian). Definitely treated differently because we were English. Different measures and given small plastic cups instead of nice glasses. Entertainment Same experience as with the bars. Because we were English we were almost ignored. Most entertainment staff spent their time laughing and joking with Turkish and Russian families There was kids mini disco every night starting at 9pm for about 1/2 hour consisting of about 5 or 6 of the same songs every night. Also be aware the music is deafening. After a few minutes it would give you a headache. Adult entertainment started at 10pm and of the 8 nights we were there only 2 nights were any good. To show how the English were treated 1 night there was a music quiz that consisted of playing film intros and you had to guess the film from it. Instead of films that everyone would know most of them were Turkish films so only the Turkish people could answer them. Nearly all the English families (including us) got up and walked out after the 1st round. Another night there was like a music concert on the grass but again was nearly all Turkish songs and dance music. Entertainment in the day was almost non existent. The odd game of darts, aqua aerobics and 1 game of water polo. We never joined the water polo as most of the teams consisted of 6 foot 20 stone Russian/Turkish playing a game more akin to water rugby than water polo. There was nothing else around the pool or anything for the kids. Other hotels we have been to in Turkey had games and stuff going on around the pool all day.
Overall we had a nice holiday because we refused to let all the negative stuff ruin it. I WOULD NOT recommend this hotel to anyone English as you will be treated differently. It is mainly Turkish and Russian.
Perfecttt holiday
We had an amazing stay at MC Arancia Resort! The animation team was fantastic, but Mia really stood out. She was incredibly friendly, energetic and always made sure everyone was having a great time. Mia brought such a positive atmosphere to the animation team and made our holiday even more enjoyable. She is definitely one of the best animators we’ve met! Thank you Mia and the whole animation team for an unforgettable holiday! ❤️
Not worthy of 5*
Rooms: Air con good. Cleaner came twice in 10 days, second time I had to tell her to clean. Broken wooden slate that separates bedrooms-dangerous.
Pools/Slides: 1 slide out of order all holiday. Sand and stones in pool.
Food: Same food. Horrific queues for pizza. No signs to tell you what things were.
Staff: Majority of staff were moody and not welcoming. Restaurant tables not cleaned ready for next people, lack of cutlery. Tattoo & photographer pushy. Girl in shop at pool, follows you around constantly. Mia (animation) really friendly, helpful and loads of energy, the rest rubbish. Only 2 barman were nice.
Beach was nice but very stony. Location good. Great if you are Russian. Full of midget flies (biten alive). This should not be a 5* hotel, I would say 4* at a very big push. Will not be returning to Alanya. Don't waste your money here.
