Located in the Kiris district, approximately 5 kilometres west of Kemer on Turkey's south coast, this stylish design hotel consists of 3 blocks and is situated on 9 hectares of land with a 350 metres private beach, connected by subway. The complex is suitable for most ages and features a particularly large pool and aqua park area, a spa centre, meeting/events room and a range of leisure activities. With a mountainous backdrop, this luxurious establishment is 50 kilometres from Antalya city centre and is easily reached by public transport which is available from beside the hotel.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Very disappointing experience – definitely not a 5-star hotel
We stayed at Miarosa Kemer Beach for one week (4 adults and 2 children, including a toddler). This was far from our first holiday in Turkey, so we have plenty of experience with Turkish hotels. Unfortunately, this was by far the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.
Check-in
Our tour operator requested two nearby rooms (or a family room). At check-in we were told the hotel was “fully booked” and only pool-access rooms were available. Since we were travelling with a small child, we explained that this was unsafe.
When we offered to pay for an upgrade, suddenly suitable rooms became available—but only for an extra €210. Even more surprisingly, we were asked to sign a document accepting responsibility for staying in a pool-access room with a toddler. It made no sense.
The first rooms we were shown were shocking: extremely humid, visible mold everywhere, wet floors and staff trying to remove water from the corridors. We refused to stay there. After a long discussion we finally received different rooms.
Rooms
The rooms were very old and poorly maintained.
The bathroom was one of the biggest problems. The shower had no door or curtain, so every shower flooded the entire bathroom. We reported this several times, but were told this was “normal.”
The room also appeared poorly cleaned. I had to clean the shower, sink and bathroom furniture myself. Towels were old, stained and torn. Bed linen was never changed during our entire stay.
Daily housekeeping usually consisted of taking out the trash, making the bed and quickly mopping the middle of the floor. Sometimes towels and even toilet paper were not replaced, despite leaving tips for housekeeping every day.
Cleanliness
Cleanliness throughout the hotel was unacceptable for a property advertised as 5 stars.
Dirty tables, cutlery, spilled drinks, food leftovers and even vomit could remain for hours before anyone cleaned them. Public areas looked neglected and poorly maintained.
Pools & Facilities
The hotel area is much smaller than it appears in the photos.
The main pool was overcrowded and not particularly clean. The children’s pool also looked neglected, and the small playground and water slides were not well maintained.
There is only one elevator for a large building, resulting in long waiting times. On several occasions we had to carry our stroller and luggage up to the third floor using the stairs.
Restaurant
Food selection was repetitive, with very little variety from day to day. Finding suitable meals for a young child was difficult.
Tables and cutlery were frequently dirty, and there were not enough high chairs for children. Those available were often dirty as well.
Beach
The beach was another disappointment. Sunbeds were old, torn and dirty, and cleanliness was clearly not a priority.
The hotel is separated from the beach by a busy road without an underground crossing. Drivers rarely stop for pedestrians, making it stressful and potentially dangerous, especially with small children.
Extra services
If you use the water sports on the beach, be prepared to negotiate. Initial prices were extremely high, and even videos recorded by drone dropped from €60 to $20 after bargaining.
Final verdict
Turkey remains one of our favourite holiday destinations, and Kemer is absolutely beautiful.
Unfortunately, Miarosa Kemer Beach does not deserve its 5-star rating. Poor maintenance, lack of cleanliness, disappointing service and numerous safety and comfort issues completely ruined our experience.
Would I return? Absolutely not.
Would I recommend this hotel? Definitely not. Choose another hotel and enjoy Kemer instead.
Great service and staff, loved the massage, cured my pain in the back and shoulder. Everybody is so kind and helpful, higly recommend them 💪🤩😍 the best and most helpful guy is Serhat
Aqua gym and morning yoga and dance class with animation team was the best I ever had Animation team so good and funny We enjoyed so much 🐿🐿🐿
We recently spent a very pleasant holiday at this hotel. The rooms were fairly clean, although it was noticeable that some areas in the hallways and around the hotel could use maintenance and repairs. The staff were friendly and helpful. One area that could be improved is their English language skills. The food was varied and delicious. I would especially like to praise the spa centre and its staff. I was more than satisfied with the massages and would highly recommend them. 🫶🤗
Great location. Very pleasant atmosphere and service. Rooms are okay, with daily cleaning and towel changes. The hotel is quiet, but the water park often plays pleasant music. The A'La Carte restaurant has a very atmospheric atmosphere. The service was excellent and friendly, especially from Mehmet and Muhammet. We recommend it for holidays with children😀
