Rixos Premium Belek

Been staying at the Rixos Premium for five days now and cannot fault the service & cleanliness.

However i have been left deeply disappointed with the booking of the al la carte restaurants as there are only two of us and booking any kind of restaurant at a decent time has been a challenge. The app to book the restaurants is horrendous as it can't handle the high number of people logging on at 10am and always errors out. All the reservations are then gone within 2 minutes.

I fell ill in the last few days and we needed to change our reservation for our anniversary to another day. They were unhelpful and refused to make this change for us and advised us to use the app instead, which as mentioned previously is not the best.

If anyone is looking to stay here especially in big groups i would not recommend.

We were very much looking forward to our stay at the Rixos premium belek, having booked it over a year ago and were counting down the days. We arrived later at night, around 9.30pm and were greeted warmly by reception. We then met one of our WhatsApp assistants who explained aspects of the hotel as she showed us to our room as well as how the WhatsApp /app system works. Our first impressions were very high. The hotel and room were immaculately clean. We had a room on the 4th floor, deluxe double room with garden view (although we could see the sea as well!) with a massive bed as well as queen bed for our daughter. They also provided bed guards for her which was a nice touch. What we found to be the pros and cons of this hotel: Pros:

1. Immaculately clean in all areas: pool, toilets, lobby, bars etc. Hand sanitizers in toilets and before main restaurant as well.
2. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. We found in particular the staff at the Asian restaurant to be outstanding. We had one small issue with our daughter’s food being cold/hard chips and this was resolved (the restaurant was extremely busy at this time!). However several times after it was resolved they kept apologising and even offered us a bottle of wine - which we declined as wasn’t necessary! Similarly in the Greek restaurant we had fantastic service from Golara when celebrating our anniversary meal and thoroughly enjoyed the show they put on!
3. The Rixy club staff couldn’t do enough for your child, they were so welcoming and even though our child was only 3 I accompanied her to many arts and crafts activities as well as face painting etc. I do believe the kids club is one of the best with a multitude of activities each day as well as a mini disco at Night which my daughter loved.
4. The QR codes provided at the sunbeds to scan for drinks. A nice touch and delivered on roller blades!
5. My husband took part in several exercise classes and highly rated the PT’s/instructors of the class.
6. We took in a few shows on the stage at the show centre and the groups were very talented! Note: we were there in October so I’d bring cardigans/light jackets as temperatures do drop at night! There was a band one evening at the beach bar: starlight band I think they were called. They were phenomenal and got everyone up dancing!
7. You can ask your WhatsApp assistant anything and they will try their best to help you. For example our daughter spilt a full bottle of water over her bed sheets. When asked if these could be changed, within 15 minutes they were changed.
8. We ventured to land of legends on the buses from the hotel. Feel they could maybe have some more times for this, especially coming back to the hotel as there is one at 5pm then the next one isn’t until 11pm. It is free with your hotel stay and they also provide towels there.
9. We also visited belek market on Saturday and then went back into belek for more shopping on Thursday. Very busy on market day. But just ask staff at hotel entrance for taxi to belek and they sort it for you. If I recall it was about 800 lira. I did notice a bus stop right outside hotel too so a cheaper option!

Cons:

1. For us we found booking the a la carte restaurants quite stressful. Everytime we went on the app at 10am, there were very rarely any spaces left. We had to ask our WhatsApp assistants several times to step in and book for us. They got us booked in but were very vocal about the fact they use the same system. I almost felt like a pest asking them to help us with this. I feel there is an easier way for it such as asking upon check in what days/times work etc! It reminded me of joining “virtual queues” to meet characters at Disney Paris… if you aren’t quick enough you won’t get a spot!
2. The kids splash park is located within the Rixy kids club which we felt was not very convenient. There aren’t many sunbeds in the area for parents to sit and watch their kids.
3. Even though there were activities during the day, we did miss the pool games/entertainment that creates some atmosphere in other hotels we have been to. This is a personal preference and understand it may not be to everyone’s taste.
4. This is not that big a deal but we felt it was so dark at night particularly walking from Akşam the Turkish restaurant to the beach bar/show centre. Unsure if some of the wooden lantern lights were broken or if it’s like that all the time.
5. Unfortunately our daughter did take unwell in our last few days with sickness. Myself and my husband didn’t get unwell so unsure if it was something she ate. The WhatsApp assistant was keen to know what was wrong but we didn’t want to say it was definitely what she ate other than she had had fish fingers (seabass) from the Greek restaurant and that was the first time she had had fish all holiday so it maybe just unsettled her tummy.

Overall, the Rixos is not like any hotel we have ever stayed in because of their premium service. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back to another Rixos hotel in the future! Tip: We ate in people’s restaurant for breakfast a few mornings and even though the menu is more limited, it was a much quieter and slower start to our mornings and we really enjoyed this :)

This hotel is amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The food in the restaurants was amazing The staff are so helpful & the bars are amazing with top brand alcohol & soft drinks entertainment was excellent Hotel is very clean
