selatdin usta pizza and lahmacun was very good and perfect to eat
Sadly, we were very disappointed from the moment we arrived. We were surprised to find that our room was not in the main hotel building but in a separate block across the road, something that hadn’t been made clear when booking.
The rooms were in need of refurbishment. The air conditioning was extremely noisy, as was the traffic from the road outside. There was very little storage space, with no usable drawers or shelves, and the balcony doors wouldn’t lock properly.
We asked to change rooms and were initially offered a much nicer room within the main hotel. However, when I went to reception to confirm the move, I was told the room was no longer available because I had supposedly said I didn’t like it, which was simply not true.
Instead, we moved to another room in the same block, on the opposite side, hoping it would at least be quieter and have a better view. Unfortunately, the toilet was broken and emitted a loud, high-pitched whistling noise. Reception told us it couldn’t be repaired until the following day and essentially expected us to put up with both the noise and an unusable toilet overnight.
To make matters worse, the shower then began leaking into the room below. Maintenance couldn’t fix it, so they simply turned off our water supply and left. After numerous calls to reception and my husband making several trips there in person, we were met with a very indifferent attitude. We felt like we were an inconvenience rather than guests with genuine problems.
Throughout this whole experience, we were repeatedly told there were no other rooms available. Then, suddenly, we were instructed to pack our bags to move to another room one floor above us. It left us feeling as though we’d simply been told there were no rooms in the hope that we’d accept the faulty one.
Overall, I would rate the rooms as 3-star at best—certainly nowhere near the 5-star standard advertised.
There were, however, some positives. The pool area was excellent, with good options for both younger and older children. The street food was very good, and most of the staff outside of reception were friendly and helpful. The main restaurant served good food, although it became quite repetitive over the course of the week. There also seemed to be a shortage of teaspoons and clean cutlery on cleared tables. Having the beer and wine stations on opposite sides of the large restaurant also felt like poor planning. In addition, every bar seemed to have only one member of staff serving, which resulted in long queues.
The location itself was lovely, with beautiful views, especially towards the mountains.
Ultimately, the poor condition of the rooms and the attitude of the reception staff really overshadowed our holiday. It’s such a shame because holidays are expensive, and without these issues, this could have been a genuinely enjoyable week away..
The hotel's location is beautiful, offering stunning scenery, and the food was excellent throughout our stay—delicious, varied, and consistently well prepared.
Unfortunately, the accommodation fell well below what we expected from a 5-star hotel. The room was in need of better maintenance: the furniture and flooring showed visible signs of wear, while the bathroom required repairs, with broken mosaic tiles in the shower area and a damaged shower drain. The air conditioning barely worked, the room Wi-Fi connection was almost unusable throughout our stay, and the room would have benefited from a much more thorough cleaning.
Another disappointing aspect was the indifferent attitude of the reception staff when dealing with our concerns. For a hotel of this category, we expected greater professionalism, responsiveness, and customer care.
It is a real shame that a hotel with such a beautiful setting and such excellent cuisine loses points because of maintenance issues, cleanliness standards, and the way guest concerns are handled. We hope these issues will be addressed, as the hotel has great potential.
