Amazing hotel with beautiful views and supernice staff!
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The views are stunning, the food is great, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The location is also perfect!
We booked the Platinum experience for three days, and it was absolutely worth the money.
A special thank you to Sandra and Vanesa at Muelle for the lovely lunch and their excellent service.
We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. We would love to come back! 😊
I would like to thank the hotel for an exceptional stay. From the attention to detail to the attitude of the staff, everything was of an exceptionally high standard. The setting and views were superb, the atmosphere was elegant and refined, and everyone we encountered was warm, welcoming and friendly. The hotel clearly understands the meaning of customer excellence, and for the vast majority of my stay, this was evident in every interaction.
However, I would like to share one cautionary observation for the benefit of future guests and, hopefully, as constructive feedback for the hotel.
Checking out is rarely the most enjoyable part of a stay, and the convenience of luggage storage and security lockers is often essential. In an increasingly cashless world, it seems unreasonable that a guest should need a €2 coin to use a locker, particularly when they may not be carrying any cash.
Unfortunately, this was precisely the situation I encountered. I was initially provided with a complimentary token for the locker, but when I needed to access it again to store another item, the token was no longer sufficient and a €2 coin was required. I returned to reception, explained that I did not have any cash, and asked for assistance. I was told that I needed a €2 coin. In fairness, perhaps I should have asked whether there was an alternative way to obtain one using my debit card, but this was not possible either.
Ironically, there was a conveniently located cash machine immediately beside me. With no other apparent solution, I withdrew €20. At the prevailing exchange rate, this should have cost approximately £17. However, my bank notified me that the transaction had cost £24.17, an effective cost of more than €28 for the €20 withdrawn. The additional cost of approximately £7 was a particularly unwelcome surprise.
I offered the €20 note to the receptionist, who was happy to provide change for the €2 locker fee, leaving me with the remaining €18 in cash. The practical problem was resolved, but the experience left me with an unpleasant aftertaste. What should have been a simple, inexpensive convenience had effectively cost me around £9 in total, or more than €10, once the withdrawal charges and locker fee were taken into account.
What disappointed me most was not the locker fee itself, but the contrast between the hotel's otherwise outstanding customer service and the inflexibility of this particular arrangement. We live in a world where card payments can be accepted almost everywhere, yet when a guest needs a small coin for a basic hotel facility, there appears to be no straightforward solution.
I offer this feedback because the hotel genuinely deserves praise for the quality of its accommodation, its atmosphere and, above all, its people. The experience was exceptional in almost every respect. It would be a shame for such a small and easily avoidable issue to leave a less-than-perfect final impression.
Perhaps the simple solution would be to provide a complimentary token for the duration of a guest's luggage-storage needs, accept contactless payment for lockers, or enable reception to exchange a small amount using a card payment.
These are minor details, but it is precisely attention to detail that makes a hotel exceptional. I hope the hotel will take this observation in the constructive spirit intended, because the overwhelming quality of my stay deserves an equally seamless experience right through to departure.
Booked a holiday from 12-19 of October in Hotel Landmar Playa La Arena and just returned back home today. Mind you it was our 4th visit in the same hotel as you can imagine we did liked it so much.Comparing the service, food, facilities, bar, entertainment, pool, gym, reception, restaurants and room cleaning we would say remain the same except of the following below
Note: Overall animation team, cleaning team ( Begonia ) and Restaurant team were very friendly and really made our stay memorable.
We would like to give our 10 points to Receptionist lady called Dorothy which was very polite and professional during our arrival at the hotel and also a waitress in Lava restaurant called Claudia, she was extremely quick, responsive and polite, always smiling and friendly with us.
Lovely atmosphere, location, and guaranteed sunshine in Tenerife
We hope to see you again next year
Kind regards Ivan & Vanya
Came to this hotel in October 2026 for the second time and it once again did not disappoint. Cleanliness is 5 ⭐️ and the service from all staff is exceptional. Rooms were spacious, and the platinum upgrade of a mini fridge was a great surprise. The entertainment team are amazing and go above and beyond for all the guests- a massive shoutout to Anton, Angel, Andrea and Manu.
I will be looking to come back again next year and i recommend to anyone looking to come in the future.
We have just come back from our week at the Landmar - Playa La Arena with our two children 17 & 13. The hotel was very clean, staff very friendly throughout the hotel, would definitely like to return one day. We stayed on 4th floor, fantastic views of pools and the beach which is very important on our hols. I want to start with saying the hard working animation team and shows were great, especially Andrea who totally made the holiday for my 13 year old daughter who found she had made a special friend. If your looking for entertainment then this hotel doesn’t disappoint, from the day time events like pool Zumba, Aerobics, water polo, rugby, basketball, crazy carpet game and cocktail/ sangria and paella demonstrations to the evening entertainment such as Rock Show/ Circus/ Kenian Boyz/ Comedy Show and Queen tribute, not to mention different singers in the top bar if watching shows is not your thing. There is lots of places to sit to enjoy your evening in this hotel. Food wise at the Lava buffet restaurant you will find something to enjoy at every meal. My only suggestion would be Hash Browns at breakfast as my 17 year old lad missed these from previous hotels, and for me just some mixed berry type fruit to put into yogurt again at breakfast time. The Arena pool snack bar had hot dogs and freshly made burgers which was great for both kids, a great salad selection but would have been nice to have had some tuna/ ham or cheese to put with the salad. Also at the same bar it would have been good to have had some doughnuts and croissants for afternoon coffee. I might be sounding picky but these extra touches would make the hotel even more special and there just an idea. Overall this hotel is ideal for couples and families with older kids and just a short walk from town and beach. Thank you to everyone at the Landmar - Playa La Arena for a fantastic holiday.
