Juanjo no1 Marco polo no2 Awsome waitress
very good family hotel, alot of activity for the kids and nice food
Pros Marco Polo is the restaurant is amazing, my children looked forward to seeing him at lunch and tea time. He always made them laugh! The rooms are nice, being bungalow style you don’t have steps and communal garden areas where my children loved to play football. Swimming pools are good. Lifeguards are hit and miss, my daughter hit her face on the slide and the lifeguard didn’t know what to do. Took her to the lifeguard in the main pool and she was amazing! They have a sports court where my kids loved playing football every night. Short walk from the beach but the beach isn’t very child friendly more suitable for surfers (huge waves). We didn’t get harassed by street sellers much. Police seem to be cracking down on this, we saw lots of patrols. We did a day trip to Loro Parque which was great.
Cons Food can be a little repetitive, there is only one restaurant so we found it a little boring. The kids struggled with food most nights, they don’t do kids buffet so if you have a fussy eater it can be difficult. They didn’t have any entertainment Saturday night which my kids found disappointing (no kids disco). Cleaning wasn’t great, my daughter spilt a drink by the pool which stayed there for 2 days. Our bed sheets got blood on from a cut and they weren’t changed so had to sleep in dirty sheets.
Overall, was good with some minor areas for improvement!
