The bustling, vibrant Playa de las Americas is one of Tenerife's most popular resorts. It's got the sun and the sand, all the sights to see and views to snap, all the shops by day and entertainment by night. No wonder that people are drawn here – and to hotels like the Columbus Aparthotel. Like Playa de las Americas, the Columbus Aparthotel has got it all. All the amenities, all the facilities, and all the high standards you'd expect of one of the region's most popular hotels.
When you're a mere 800 metres from the beach, you know you're going to be spending a lot of time there. And that's just one of the perks of staying at the Columbus Aparthotel. Another is your close proximity to the heart of Playa de las Americas, and all that it has to offer including shops, bars and restaurants, and of course, the nightlife (Plays de las Americas is famous for it). But the Columbus Aparthotel is much more than a base for dipping in and out of the action. There's more than enough to keep you entertained…
One of the biggest features of the Columbus Aparthotel is undoubtedly the superb arrangement of swimming pools. Divided into distinct sections, the pool 'complex' is a beautiful design feature as well as a great place to spend a few hours… maybe even a long afternoon, drifting into evening.
That's another wonderful thing about the Columbus Aparthotel – the very laidback attitude to life. Outside in Playa de las Americas, it's all hustle and bustle, but here in the grounds of the Columbus, it's all long afternoons by the pool and long cool drinks. And talking of relaxing. Do check out the sauna and Jacuzzis. There's still plenty more to the Columbus Aparthotel: a handy on-site mini market, laundry facility and games room for example. The Columbus Aparthotel also benefits from generously sized rooms – and larger rooms (with lounges) are available if you wish. Satellite TV is also available for a small fee.
Choose the Columbus Aparthotel and you'll enjoy all the excitement of Plays de las Americas and the laidback vibe of the Columbus Aparthotel. It's the perfect combination.
The popular Columbus Aparthotel is enviably located in the bustling beach resort of Playa de las Americas, just 800 metres from the beach and close to many shops, restaurants and bars. The main restaurant offers a variety of international cuisine whilst the bar is the perfect place to relax overlooking the pool.
We just returned from a trip to Tenerife and stayed at Kn Columbus, I made the mistake of reading reviews on here AFTER booking, and panicked that I was bringing a 7 year old. I need not have worried, she LOVED it, and she’s a well travelled little girl. We had a great time, the room was great, food was great, they’re CONSTANTLY cleaning, everywhere you turn, cleaning. The bar is easy to access and can easily get a drink. The pools were fun, lots of inflatables to use. The only thing stopping me giving 5* is every single night, someone banged on our door in the middle of the night. Now this isn’t the hotels fault, we knew there would be groups of young people, but it always made me jump ( didn’t wake the little one ) and it was just a bit annoying really. Special mention to Betsy in the restaurant who always helped us get a large table for our group and was always so kind to my little girl.
The location was very close to the bars and nightclubs, mostly under 20’s staying, very loud at night even had 20 police cars one night as group of lads were being very disruptive, rooms very basic not overly clean, food not great, the reception staff very rude, over all not a place to be going
The food was very tasteless and not very well cooked
Been here 3 times already it’s a great hotel but has downsides there little options for food they have set days of what food if you don’t fancy the food they do that night the only other food they do is pizza which is not the best or chips the bed sheets are changed every so often put the sign on the door saying clean the room they only cleaned the floors and left us with 1 towel night life is always great around the strip noticed the staff don’t do any entertainment in the day around the pool entertainment is great at night other than that it’s a nice hotel staff are always lovely
Terrible hotel. The room was very dated and dirty. Our feet were black everyday from the floor. The beds were uncomfortable and squeaky. They never cleaned the shower tray!!!We went all inclusive and both ended up with food poisoning. We ended up staying in our room for 2 days very unwell. We spoke to other people there that also had upset stomachs from the food. Also everyone seemed to have a cough and bad chest. Not sure if from air con in the room. You had to pay 1 euro for a plastic cup that was just washed under a tap when you got a drink. It ended up making my lips and mouth sore. You had to pay 3 euro for an ashtray too which was ridiculous and unheard of before where we have stayed before.Full of drunk 18 year olds rolling in loudly at 4am onwards.Overall very poor experience, ruined our holiday and would never go there again. We are still unwell now we are home.
