Hi all just back from arona gran after a 10 day holiday just want to point out I haven't written a review for a long time but felt this one coming on arising from an incident in the restaurant concerning one of the waiting staff he's a tall guy bald with a hooked nose and I've never experienced anything like him before twice he bumped off me once with the waiting cart and once with his shoulder and twice I said sorry not having done anything he seemed like he just didnt want to be there and taking it out on the guests the night befire we left he had an altercation with an English gentleman who complained him to the manager who then went to him and sternly spoke to him I didnt complain him maybe I should have but it's not my style glad the other gentleman did though having said that the rest of the restaurant staff were brilliant on the hotel food repetitive entertainment most nights boring service at the bar not over friendly and slow nothing against the hotel but will try somewhere else next time
Reading the reviews I'm wondering did my husband and I stay at this hotel, food not good breakfast cold dinners struggling to find anything nice to eat ,cakes every one tasted same every night my husband and I paid lot of money so disappointed I actually could not wait to go home . Staff very rude bar service you could be waiting 30 mins for a drink .
We spent an excellent week at this hotel. Check in was easy and the reception staff were very helpful and made check In easy. Room was lovely. We had a pool/sea view with a balcony. Food was excellent. Lots of choice and the gala Dinner on the Wednesday was excellent. Pools were very good and well Maintained. People out at 7am to grab sunbeds but we managed to find some when We went down at 1pm. Lovely walk starting at the back Of the hotel into Las Americas. Lots of bars and restaurants. Gym was excellent. Lady who works in there was very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for relaxation
What a fabulous restful holiday we have had at the Arona Gran. First time staying here but definitely won’t be the last, hopefully returning early next year. Entrance hall is magnificent and so pretty with very modern and efficient reception staff. We were staying on the UP floors, fantastic view of the pools and the sea. Rooms were kept immaculate - although I always make the beds as I think it lazy not too. Breakfasts were fabulous . We had evening meal in restaurant a few times, good choices but quite noisy and too busy for me. Staff very efficient and pleasant. The UP experience was well worth the upgrade. Very pretty areas , very relaxed atmosphere. The food was beautiful with lots of choices. The infinity pools are a very welcome feature up there as the weather was so hot at the time of our stay. Very comfortable sun beds. Louise was always on hand if you had any questions.- lovely girl. Thank you Arona Gran for giving us a fabulous holiday - can’t wait for our return,
Just returned family of 9 aged 16-68 Stunning hotel with amazing choice of food Rooms a little small compared to vulcano hotel beds a little hard for us We had side sea view which was a good view Peaceful quite hotel with plenty of sun beds but the leather cushions on the sun beds do get very hot same as the seating outside We only watched entertainment on the gala night which was queen tribute Staff in the restaurant were lovely apart from one waiter who worked on the tables outside who was rude The hotel is at the far end so do have quite a walk to centre There is some local bars across road from hotel serving lovely food We all had a fabulous holiday but prefere the location of vulcano hotel
