Family trip
Just returned from a 5 night holiday with my husband and 12 year old son. Hotel was stunning, everywhere we went it was spotless and the staff were friendly. We had a family room which was amazing, very roomy, great view of the pools and the sea and the complimentary bar was a welcome touch. My only criticism was that we couldn't get the air conditioner to drop below 21. We spoke with reception twice but it wasn't fixed which was really disappoonting given how much money we had paid for the trip. The food was very good, plenty of choice and we ate at both the italian and the steak house. The italian was really lovely but i wouldn't say the steak house was anything special. There are plenty of activities for children of all ages and plenty of sun loungers but there is the usual sunbed wars at first light!! We had a great time and I would happily return and recommend this hotel to everyone.

Some positives, the rooms are nice and clean. Steak house was great, but we could only book once and paid €150 up charge (worth it, I would have gone there every night if I could).
Negatives, a lot of staff polite, but a good chunk were not and seemed disinterested. Swimming pools too cold for the time of year, our daughter would normally spend hours in the pool but could only manage 15-20 mins before shivers kicked in.
The food in the buffet is almost entirely extremely low quality (weirdly the breakfast pastries were great) but not much else. Only one coffee machine at breakfast with bad coffee. The on site coffee shop (again, a up charge) didn’t open until 10, which is about 3 hours later than needed. Our 4 year old daughter didn’t want to be left at kids club, so she couldn’t go to that, it doesn’t cater for parents that want to hang around - probably good if you had older kids.
My wife found her phone in the laundry basket of the cleaning person who had already left our room - this might have been an accident but it’s careless at best.
Serve yourself beer and soft drinks good in theory but drinking out of plastic cups isn’t nice - understandable around the pool but 200ml kids plastic cups not exactly 5*
The weather wasn’t great while we were there (obvs not the hotels fault) but there isn’t much to do when the weather is poor - led to extreme boredom and us leaving 3 days early at the tune of €1000 for flights.
The final insult was not be asked why we were checking out and concierge not helping us with all our bags. A familiar theme of staff standing around chatting to each other and not caring about guests.

Great Family Getaway
A beautiful resort with something for everyone. Very clean in all areas, and the rooms are really modern, light and spacious. Travelled as a family group of 9, including 4 children. They loved the pools, splash park and water slides as well as some of the kids club activities. The Kids team were great. There seems to be plenty sunbeds for all although the family areas did fill up first thing in the morning. Fresh towels available by the pool, every day. The all inclusive was good value, there was plenty drink stations around the pools and the Dream Factory was handy for poolside lunches if you didn't want to visit the buffet every day. The food options in the buffet were really varied and we found the quality to be high, although could have been a bit warmer, at times. The a la carte restaurants made a nice change and the kids enjoyed making their own pizza at the Italian. Service however was a bit haphazard. We enjoyed our 2 free shows, they were very professional, not your usual hotel entertainment. We would have loved to see another show, but felt that €30 per adult and €15 per child, was too expensive. The Draco Show around the tree was excellent too. The castle was the backdrop for light shows throughout the evening. It all felt very special. The Lobby Bar was nice and mixed proper cocktails. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel location is right on the coastal path so nice for walking, although it is very hilly. A small supermarket is across from hotel, but a larger one is about 15 mins walk. A taxi into Playa de las America's was about €28 each way and took about 15 mins.

Great
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable, with excellent facilities throughout. The atmosphere of the hotel was elegant yet relaxing, and every detail was clearly well thought out. The food and drinks were fantastic, and the service was consistently professional and friendly.
Fab holiday - would defo recommend
Booked for a family holiday with my daughter, son-in-law and 3 year old granddaughter and proximity to the airport (ie short transfer time) was a major consideration. There was very little to do in the area but we knew that when we booked and intended to spend all our time in the resort as there was plenty for us all to do onsite. My son-in-law enjoyed a round of golf at the nearby golf course. The rooms and all public areas were kept very clean at all times. The rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. All the staff were friendly and approachable. The buffet had a very good selection to suit all tastes and the 2 à la cartes we used were really good - my granddaughter particularly loved making her own pizza in the Italian. My only criticism regarding food is that some of the buffet food could be a bit warmer - sometimes it was almost cold. And the other thing is that the buffet could open slightly earlier (12-12.30 at lunchtime and 5.30 in the evening) so the kids can eat without rushing and still get to the mini disco. The whole holiday met all our expectations and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone - especially with children - they will love it.
