Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

A very disappointing admission policy. This hotel states that it only accepts guide dogs for blind guests. My emotional support dog is not permitted.
After years of serving the community, I live with lasting psychological effects from experiences during my work. My dog provides important support in managing those effects.
Not every disability is visible. I expect a hotel’s hospitality to include an understanding of that. I find the position communicated to me particularly narrow, and it is my reason for choosing not to book here. This review concerns the admission policy and the communication about it.
Myself and my wife stayed in the SOL SUN BEACH for New Year last in 2025:2026 . The location in excellent, the apartment was also very good and in general we really enjoyed our stay. On the last morning we attended the restaurant for breakfast as we always did , my wife had her customary toast and cheese while I decided to have some scrambled egg, some time after breakfast I began to feel a little queasy but didn’t take much notice of it but later in the day I was feeling very unwell and while travelling home I was simply horrifically unwell and on analysing my intake it’s was the scrambled egg that made my violently sick… I contacted the Sol Sun by email but just got the standard response saying no other similar reports were received from anyone else. I’m Not one for writing reviews (especially bad ones) in fact this is my first but I feel the hotel management have ignored my situation hoping it will go away. As I’ve previously said we really enjoyed our stay but if we ever return it’s a big NO to the eggs . John Ireland 🇮🇪
It was not good. The staff were friendly, but the room was not clean ,the food was pretty bad, it looked old i not reccomend it.
The staff are friendly especially on reception. The pool area is excellent- size wise and availability of sun beds and is mostly in the sun all day. The snack bar is nice but is a little on the expensive side. The refurbished rooms are nice, the un-refurbished not so. The food is basic but ok. The breakfast has a nice choice of cooked and cereal, pastries etc. The dinner is ok but I would say more of a filler.. There was a vegetarian option on the nights we dined there - the lasagne and paella was nice and usually one or 2 vegetables on offer , also lots of salad and rolls and cheeses and meat options. We choose to eat out half the nights just for some variation. The drinks package was a bit frustrating. Im not sure why its not included within half board which I've had in every other hotel I've stayed in. It was €6 each for alcoholic drinks, €4 for water and soft drinks or you can pay €70 at the start of your stay. I wouldn't have particularly minded if it was a place you'd stay and get your monies worth, not saying the restaurant area wasn't nice, but not somewhere you'd want to stay for more than eating but a glass of wine would have been nice to have. The refurbished room was nice, air con in the lounge though no fan in the bedroom so was sweating in the night! The bathroom was a nice size and the lounge area. The bed was very comfortable. There were facilities to cook a basic meal and had a tall fridge. Searched for a plug in the kitchen area but none found so had to boil the kettle in the bathroom, random but not major. The room was serviced daily. The hotel is very close to the beach so I would stay again for this reason but probably just go with the b&b option and go out for dinner, there are plenty of options! I would highly recommend requesting a refurbished room to avoid disappointment. If you arrive early there are large secure lockers you can use.
Stayed here for a week in October and was very pleased with our hotel choice. The hotel is located a few minutes walk from Playa Fanabe beach and with plenty of restuarants/bars right on the door step.
The pool is lovely, kept very clean and the gardens kept immaculate. The terraces are extensive and there are always ample sun beds available.
Our premium studio was more than adequate, provided a partial sea view from the balcony and the beds very comfortable. The apartment was cleaned every day and kept spotless.
The lounge, restaurant and bar areas have recently been refurbished although the bar was always quiet probably because there is so much choice on the doorstep.
We stayed on a B&B basis - there was always plenty to choose from at breakfast and everything was well cooked. On one morning they did tend to run out of quite a bit of the hot buffet and there was a bit of a delay replenishing the trays but this only happened one morning.
All staff we came across were friendly and on hand to answer any questions. Check in did take quite a long time although to be fair we were offered online advance check in which I would use next time if staying again.
Overall, I would recommend staying at this hotel which provides for a comfortable stay in a prime location.
