Like a precious jewel in an idyllic setting, the Luxurious 5-star Boutique Hotel Royal River will open its doors on May 1, 2020.
Located in the most privileged area of the south of Tenerife, this exclusive Adults Only Resort of 50 villas with swimming pool is charmed with 3 spectacular views: the deep blue of the Atlantic Ocean on the right, the green of the Costa Adeje golf course in front and the silhouette of the mountains and the Roque del Conde on the left.
Its elegant architecture and the originality of its contemporary design, together with the masterful use of natural materials from the island, make this luxury hotel a unique reference in the Canary Islands.
In its facilities, there are 29 River Suites surrounded by two large pools-river; a central pool with Cocoon loungers and tropical palm trees; 17 villas with private pool and 4 luxurious stilt houses on a lake with turquoise waters.
In order to enrich this experience of relaxation and romance, the Royal River has an infinity pool in the hotel's solarium to enjoy magnificent sunsets, a Spa with a thermal cave inspired by a Mexican cenote and a Hamman for beauty therapies inspired by Arab culture.
Pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers massages, body treatments and facials. You can take advantage of recreational amenities such as a health club, an outdoor pool and an indoor pool. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and a banquet hall.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

My wife and I went to the Royal River for our honeymoon. The service, food, atmosphere, facilities, pools, room ... just the entire hotel, was second to none. There's a reason it has won the awards and has so many good reviews. It was perfect from start to finish. It is stunningly beautiful and kept immaculately clean. Each "room" is your own private villa. The stone roll-top bath in the middle of the bathroom is such a fantastic centre piece. We had a 1 Bedroom River Villa Roof Terrace with Sea View which was 100% worth it in my opinion. It was bliss being able to lay in privacy on your own terrace in the glorious sun (clear blue skies and 26-28 degrees in Feb). The small private pool you have that comes off the river is fantastic too; it's such a quiet hotel and privacy is maintained at all times and you can swim out into the river, which really is like a tropical paradise as birds fly between the lush green foliage. The service throughout was exceptional; you use whatsapp for any requests/room service which is just wonderful if you're lounging around on the cabana after a swim and fancy some croquettes, jug of Aperol etc! The food in all the restaurants was excellent. The spa was excellent and the massages were fantastic. I can not fault the hotel on any single point. Yes, it is relatively expensive, but there is a reason for that. It's elevated luxury, not just a "nice" 5* chain hotel, so in my opinion the price is justified. We're going to book again to come back on our anniversary as we don't want to be disappointed going anywhere else.
So I didn't actually stay here I was staying along up the road, A Royal villas . A lovely taxi driver from the beautiful port dropped me off to river I got out unbeknown to me I was in wrong hotel only the decor i thought a different part of hotel that i had not seen lol ... so the lovely adorable sensible man on door realised I was in wrong building then kindly offered me transport to my hotel , I won't forget... things like this don't go unnoticed Royal River whoever he was a credit to you and your team. Thank-you bug hugs
We recently spent a short break in a lagoon Villa. The Villa was beautiful , stylish and relaxing and above all so very clean. We slept so well in the most comfy bed. The staff are so helpful and respect most couples are here for relaxation and privacy. Dining was fantastic. Breakfast has every option . Pool snacks and drinks available at The top were fantastic along with the best room service we have encountered. It was beautiful to sit outside our villa , just the 2 of us and enjoy our evening meal with the birdsong beside the starlit lagoon😊 We both enjoyed massages in the spa and found them best we have ever had, especially after a game of Paddle . For us to find somewhere that ticks every box the only problem we have now is finding the time to get back very soon!! Fantastic work to all at Royal River.
To go back to Royal River again this October was our dream.... But unfortunately, my husband had to have surgery and we had to cancel our trip back to paradise!! We are both devastated that we could not return and the entire caring and professional team always go that extra mile to ensure that we are so very well looked after. Lydia is totally amazing and her brilliant team of caring professionals are all absolutely second to none. Hopefully - surgery willing - we will be returning to this amazing piece of heaven on earth very soon - so be afraid you wonderful team of people.
Our stay at Royal River was exceptional in every respect. From the beautiful surroundings and wonderful food to the outstanding service, everything about this hotel feels first class.
The resort itself is stunning. There is so much space to relax and unwind, and the villas feel like little private oases surrounded by luxury. Everything is beautifully designed, with a real sense of peace and tranquillity. What makes it particularly special is that you can enjoy complete privacy and quiet, whilst never being far from somewhere a little livelier if you fancy some music or entertainment.
The food was wonderful throughout our stay, but what really sets Royal River apart is the people. Every member of the team seems to take enormous pride in making sure guests have the best possible experience. Nothing is too much trouble, and the care and attention feel completely natural rather than rehearsed.
There were some particularly lovely examples of this during our stay. The lady who looked after our room was incredibly thoughtful and gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations, which we were very grateful for.
We also experienced a rather unexpected situation when my wife had an accident whilst mountain biking and needed medical attention. The hotel manager immediately stepped in to make the necessary arrangements, and Stephane took us straight to the hospital in the hotel minivan. At a moment when we needed some help, the team could not have been more caring or accommodating. We were enormously grateful.
It is these personal touches that make Royal River so special. Every little detail seems to have been considered, and everything is delivered with such warmth, thoughtfulness and care. You feel that the people working here really do want you to have a wonderful stay.
Royal River is a truly beautiful hotel, but it is the people who make the experience exceptional. We left feeling thoroughly looked after and already looking forward to returning.
We will most definitely be back.
