Royal Hideaway Corales Beach Adults only

This was my 3rd visit to the Royal Hideaway and always impresses me. Friendly staff, great rooms all with a sea view. The roof top bar has a great atmosphere and sunsets are wonderful. I will hopefully return next year.

I have never stayed in a hotel where every single member of staff was so friendly and welcoming. I was in a panoramic sea view room on 3rd floor which was really comfortable and spacious with a large terrace that had such comfortable sun loungers. The breakfast was incredible with a large range of both hot and cold options. The fresh fruit selection was amazing. Lunch at NAO pool bar was delicious, but the options at the rooftop pool were limited. Good range of equipment in the gym and great to have 24 hour access. I had a wonderful, relaxing short break and will definitely come back!

Stayed at Royal Hideaway Corales Beach as a couple for 8 nights, in a Junior Suite Sea Front Panoramic View room. All in all, it was a great stay, Corales Beach lived up to its online description. The room was spacious, well equipped, with a large balcony (table, chairs, 2 x comfy sun loungers) and a superview over La Caleta and the ocean. Great breakfast buffet, with good choice of cooked dishes. In the Corales Beach side, there are 2 pools, one on the ground floor, and one on the top (5th floor); we used both, but the ground floor pool area had more of a buzz, and a bigger bar / snacks area, so we tended to stick with that one. There are 6 restaurants on site; we tried 2, La Trattoria and Starfish. The former is a good Italian, it was where we ate on our first night after a very early start, so can't remember too much about it, other than to say it was good at what it did. The Starfish was excellent; it emphasises its green credentials, concentrating on seafood & vegetables - very innovative menu without being too "cheffy", accompanied by "just right" attentive service. The hotel is well located, with La Caleta town on the doorstep. La Caleta has some great restaurants that I review elsewhere. Very minor gripes: a lot of the hotel information is on the Barcelo Group app which seemed to have functionality issues - not much good. We had some early issues actually getting pillows that we had asked for (from the hotel's pillow menu) but this got sorted. Getting coffee refills at breakfast was a bit hit'n'miss, but generally worked. Replenishment of tea & coffee for the room was similarly a bit erratic, but mostly good. Other than that it was a great stay. Pool bar service was consistently good, without exception all the staff were friendly & helpful. Our departure and checkout was really well done, the highlight being the "light" breakfast served in our room which was an absolute feast.
