Dirty rooms
We stayed as a family of 4,3rd till 13th July 2026 and this apartment has both positive and negatives. Pros: The communal areas are clean, the pool is cleaned every morning and floors and loungers are washed down. Reception and the bar areas are well kept and the front of the hotel looks nice. The bakery and the snack bar have some really nice bits for lunch and snacks. The staff are really friendly, from reception to the the snack bars. The entertainment man is brill and so friendly. Kitchen is well equipped and the fridge and freezer are large.
Now onto the cons: We stayed in room 108, we arrived about 1 am tired, hot and ready for bed. Omg the room felt dirty!!!! The bathroom smelt disgusting, there were two dead cockroachs in the living room, the cabinets in the living room need a good wipe down, there was a bikini sanitary patch stuck on the side of the wardrobe and the front of the safe was dirty. I was like omg I don't want to stay here but at this time of the night what can we do. I feel like the rooms need a real good deep clean. The corners of the room are dusty and dirty and the bathrooms have wooden floors meaning water must get under the flooring making it fusty.
We made the best of it and the smell in bathroom would come and go, it may have been the drains. Reading other reviews dirty rooms seems to be a theame. I think if all the rooms had a good deep clean the reviews would be so much better.
I think just be conscious of this when booking.

Champion Hotel
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the friendly and welcoming staff to the high standards of cleanliness and fantastic entertainment, everything exceeded our expectations.
The only slight downside was the location, as it's a little further from the beach and bars than we would have liked. However, taxis were readily available and only cost around €4–5 each way, so it was never a major issue. Also, their was a super market on site and a local shopping centre was less than 5 minute walk away, which was very ideal for those key essentials.
The daytime atmosphere, activities and entertainment were excellent, with plenty to keep both children and adults entertained. A special mention has to go to Carlo, whose enthusiasm and energy made every activity fun, engaging, and inclusive. He did a fantastic job of making sure everyone could join in and enjoy themselves.
Overall, we had a brilliant holiday and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fun, friendly, and relaxing stay.

60th ladies holiday
Well I was a bit apprehensive having booked this holiday reading some of the reviews but I have to say me and my friends absolutely loved it.the staff here are so lovely and helpful.the pool area lovely and clean the views fantastic looking out from the terrace bar was amazing.the rooms were great for us lots of storage which is a bonus.no air con but big fans .lovely bakery on site gorgeous coffee which we got every morning.the apartments are up a hill but we walked down everyday only about 10 min to start of Adeje.we got a taxi back up though 5 euro.had a fantastic time great bars highly recommend detroits if you live soul music.we will be back

Disappointed
Apartments are now looking tired and in need of modernisation the bedroom in particular,we had trouble opening the sliding doors of the wardrobe to the point my husband had to open the wardrobe for me (the runners were bent). Our shower tray was cracked and had been filled with silicone gel this made the tray uneven causing a slip hazard, you had to squeeze past the toilet to get in the shower (would have been better installed the other way around) also leaked across the floor. The hairdryer wasn't working on arrival but was fixed quickly. Pool area clean with plenty of beds, reception helpful. Bakery good as was little shop. This was our third visit to this resort but it will be the last mainly due to location.
