Melia Jardines del Teide

This was our second stay at Melia Jardines del Teide, and somehow it was even better than the first. From the moment we arrived, it genuinely felt like coming home.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, with immaculate grounds that are beautifully maintained. It’s such a peaceful place and the perfect destination to completely switch off and recharge.

What really makes this hotel so special, though, is the people. Every single member of staff goes above and beyond to make your stay memorable. They are warm, welcoming, professional and genuinely seem to care that you have the best possible holiday. They are an absolute credit to the hotel, and we will miss them all greatly.

We’d especially like to thank Nicole on Reception; Angel, Jonathan, Jesus and Hectar at the bar; Ying, Camila and Paula in the restaurant; and Kevin, Louisa and Yaiza for the fantastic entertainment throughout our stay. You all made our holiday incredibly special.

We also loved the complimentary workshops. They were such a thoughtful addition to our holiday, and it was wonderful to come home with handmade souvenirs that will always remind us of our time here. Thank you to Ambar from Leitiz Glass for the glass workshop and to Juan Carlos for the brilliant soap-making session.

Melia Jardines del Teide has become a very special place for our family, and we’re already counting down until we return next year. Thank you to everyone for another unforgettable holiday!

I’m sat at the airport writing this review because I genuinely didn’t want to leave without saying how incredible our stay has been.

This has honestly been the best holiday my boyfriend and I have ever had, and we are already talking about when we can come back. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything exceeded our expectations.

The food was absolutely incredible. As someone who is quite cautious about food when I’m on holiday, and with my boyfriend being an incredibly picky eater, this was something we were a little worried about before we arrived. We needn’t have been. The food was faultless. There was such a huge selection at every meal that there was always something for both of us to enjoy, no matter your tastes. We also loved the snack bar during the day, which always had fresh fruit, pasta salads, sandwiches and plenty of other options available. I will admit I pretty much lived off the chips and the guacamole… and I have to say, the guacamole was absolutely delicious! The quality of the food throughout our stay was outstanding, and we genuinely looked forward to every meal.

Our room was immaculate. We stayed in a spacious ground-floor terrace room, which was perfect as the terrace had sunshine all day. It became our little spot to relax before heading to dinner in the evenings. The air conditioning worked brilliantly (which was definitely needed!), and our room was cleaned to such a high standard every single day. It always felt fresh when we came back.

The pool area was beautiful and had such a lovely atmosphere. The only thing worth mentioning is that it does get busy quite quickly, with most sunbeds being taken by around 10am. That said, it didn’t take away from our holiday at all, and we spent so many happy hours relaxing by the pool.

The staff deserve a special mention because every single person we met was amazing. From reception, to the restaurant staff, housekeeping and the entertainment team, everyone was so friendly, welcoming and genuinely seemed to care that guests were having the best time. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and they are a huge reason why this holiday felt so special.

The entertainment was another highlight for us. There was something different every single evening, so there was always something to look forward to after dinner. Our absolute favourite was the Señora Band. They played fantastic covers, created such a brilliant atmosphere and, without exaggerating, they are the best live band we have ever seen on holiday. They were honestly that good.

The location was ideal too. It’s around a 20-minute walk into the centre of Costa Adeje, making it close enough to enjoy the shops, bars and restaurants while still being peaceful and relaxing. There’s also a small shop just a two-minute walk away for anything you might need, and the hotel is only around 20 minutes from the airport, which made travelling so easy.

We honestly cannot fault our stay. Every part of this holiday has been amazing, and it’s given us memories we’ll never forget. We are leaving feeling relaxed, happy and already wishing we weren’t flying home.

The location of the place was amazing with beautiful views and the rooms had 0 faults but. The pool has paint flaking and floating around the food is cold and soggy tastes like it had been out for days the atmosphere is poor could do with some music the staff are amazing looking out for everyone but because of the food and pool i will not be returning! You also have to pay for the minibar!
