Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We stayed here for 10 nights as a couple in which the first 7 nights we stayed and travelled with my wife's sister and brother in law.
Location - The location is really good, although is it a relatively steepish hill to walk back from the seafront, and there's lots of shops, restaurants and bars close by. The atmosphere is really laid back and if you're after a chilled out break then this hotel is just perfect for you.
Greeting - We're greeted with a warm welcome and when a staff member realised we were waiting to check in, she made a point of making us feel more welcome. I never saw this lady again during our stay, so I can't say who it was but it made a lasting impression on me. We were checked in soon enough and the guy serving us, went through everything really professionally, even though he must say the same thing over and over to each guest, it sounded like he was doing this for the first time. Brilliant! He offered us a drink and said our rooms would be ready in 10 minutes, and it was still only 12pm.
Room - Our room was really nice with no issues, we didn't have a view but the room made up for that. Our room included a lovely walk in rain shower, big comfortable bed, brilliant A/C, walk in wardrobe, safe, hairdryer, towels and dressing gown/slippers. The room was spotless with a pack of pringles, bottle of water (replaced every day) and a TV with English channels. My wife has never slept so well in a hotel and even though the room was quite cool, you can easily control the A/C yourself.
Pool - We ventured up to the stunning rooftop pool and sat up there for a few hours. As we went down to get some drinks, the waitress said she bring them up to us and we quickly realised that you can order and pay for your orders from your sun loungers. It was quiet throughout our stay around the pool area, even though there was some renovations taking place but you hardly heard anything from them. So peaceful! Food - The food is out of this world. I hope this message gets back to the chef(s), they were incredible and so friendly and always made a point to say hello. No pizza or burgers here,(expect at the poolside bar), just lovely and well presented food. Breakfast and dinner were equally enjoyable and I just wanted to eat everything. Loved it!
Poolside bar - Brilliant bar with friendly staff with a good selection of food and drinks. Highly recommend their Sangria.
Drinks - Loads to choose from, and I'm sure there's a some kind of drink for everyone or anyone.
Staff - Here's the clincher. The staff are amazing! I can't say enough good words about them all and I mean everyone we encountered were so helpful and friendly. My phone was damaged during our holiday and I asked for help and the guy working on reception was helpful in trying to help me. Wonderful service. There were more times we asked for help and each time, everyone was equally helpful. A special mention to Rachelis, Lucia, Damaris, Ricardo and Dorta but all staff need to be praised as they do a superb job. We miss you.
Negatives - This is a bit picky of me but I do think that there should be a rule about using mobile phones on loud speakers throughout the hotel especially around the pool. A few people did this on the balconies, in the restaurant and in the hotel lobby. Okay! Maybe a quick call, but someone was sitting on their balcony near the pool area and on their phone for about 40 minutes, they were so loud. Also, there was a lady who sat by the pool constantly talking loudly, yes I'm being picky about someone talking but I just find it rude when everyone is being so quiet. I think the hotel should put anti noise scrapppers on the bottom on all furniture in the rooms. You can hear people, including the cleaners, moving furniture, especially chairs, around the rooms. We did complain one time and this was dealt with instantly and swiftly. Great to see and it never happened in the room we complained about again.
I think there should be some kind of happy hour for drinks as they're quite expensive, maybe this would improve the attendance for the nighttime entertainment.
Entertainment - We enjoyed the entertainment, but hardly anyone was watching it. It was like 20 people one night and I felt sorry for the entertainer. We really enjoyed Bitter Sweet because they played the music we like and the saxophone player, which performed during dinner, was really good.
Decor - Yes, maybe an update is required, but with the hotel being constantly cleaned, it's fine as it is. Lovely trees, plant life and a very well designed layout throughout. Loved all the flooring, very well maintained and hardly any damaged areas that are noticeable. Overall - We loved this hotel, it's one of the best we've ever stayed in and it's almost a 5*. We want to come back, but we never go back to the same resort more than once however if we ever go back to Costa Adeje, we would definitely stay here. If you're thinking of staying here, don't hesitate to book it as we highly recommend this hotel. Missing you all and thank you for a great and memorable holiday.
5th visit and always great. Friendly staff, easy check in and it's just a relaxing time! Nothing is too much trouble.
My friend and I stayed for one week at this lovely hotel on a bed and breakfast basis. As stated on other reviews, the large walk-in shower, wardrobe space with plenty of hangers, free safe and water that was provided in the room daily all made our stay very pleasant. The twin beds were really comfortable and the hotel is nice and quiet. The pool beds are comfortable and the free towels were also very much appreciated. Breakfast was fine with plenty of choice and good service. I emailed the hotel before our visit to see if it would be possible for us to have a low floor room as my friend has an issue with her knee. This was provided which was very helpful as her access to the pool area couldn't have been any easier. It is an interesting building and you soon get used to finding your way around. There are lovely plants around and stunning views from the reception area. The location was fine for us and we visited various restaurants and bars with ease in Costa Adeje. Both my friend and I had no complaints at all. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Excellent hotel staff excellent food 95% rooms excellent only thing charged for water when having evening meal
Currently sat by the pool on my last day as I'm writing this, this is the first time I've been to an adults only hotel so getting to learn various rules and etiquette took some getting used to, totally understand why they have them and it doesn't spoil the experience in fact it's improved the experience. The food, the staff, the room the heated pools and all the surroundings were absolutely incredible, the staff were all fantastic, not a single rude person and really helpful with all our enquiries. Food and drink was priced decently, sunbeds were easily obtained (due to the life guard monitoring sunbed hoggers) absolutely everything was perfectly clean you couldn't ask for more, I can't work out why it isn't a 5* as in my eyes it was faultless. Thanks for having us hopefully see you again soon (room 427)
