This emblematic hotel was one of the first urban hotels that emerged in the city of Palma in the 1960s. During all these years, constant renovations have been made to adapt its faciltiies to all Guests' needs.
With its perfect location in the heart of Palma, it offers the possibility to host all profiles of Guests: pleasure, nautical sports or for business, always ensuring an optimal level of quality in all services in a family atmosphere. Its F&B offer must be highlighted to due its three different spaces, Saratoga Sky Bar, Gastro Bar and its well-known Blue Jazz Club, where you will enjoy Live Jazz Sessions 4 days a week during the whole year.
The rooms offer a warm, fresh, bright and sophisticated elegant decoration, prepared to satisfy any Guest preferences. All rooms are equipped with a range of facilities to ensure a comfortable stay at Saratoga.
This is a lovely hotel located very centrally in Palma - easy walking distance to the cathedral and the harbour which you can see from the roof top bar and pool
Most of the staff are pleasant but the odd ones were a bit surly and unhelpful, ie ignoring you when you tried to give room number for breakfast, or bustling into you with no apology, I also didn't appreciate the barman in the roof top pool who liked to underline 'Tip Not Included' in sharpie on the bill.
Our room was ready early and the hotel granted us an hours late check out which was very helpful and much appreciated
Things I'd change to improve the hotel
1 - the reception area - everything is crammed in by the main door, reception, main entrance, lifts - there is a huge area the other side of the main door which was always empty - feel it would be better to have the reception here
2 - pool towels - also dispensed from an already busy reception - would be better located to pool bars so guests in swim wear not having to stand queuing while other guests checked in and out
3 - storarge in room - not a lot of storage space - ie one drawer, bedside shelf could be a chest of drawers
4 - Only 1 small 500ml bottle of water left daily although outside temperature in mid 30's
5 - Not many parasols at pool area - none at roof top pool,
Things I liked
1 - Location of the hotel was excellent - easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, cathedral, harbour
2 - Housekeeping of room could be arranged to suit, little note left telling us we could ask for a pillow menu, iron etc
3 - Lots of availability of sun beds/cabanas round a choice of 3 pools
While we stayed there the World Cup was on, the hotel showed the France vs Morocco and the Spain vs Belgium so we had assumed they'd also screen England vs Norway but no - all the sports bars were either full or occupied by Norwegian fans so we ended up having to watch on our phone, wouldn't have minded if they'd not shown any of the games
Overall I liked the hotel and it would take very little to make it even better
I had the pleasure of staying at this lovely hotel the first week in July 2026. We were there for my son’s spectacular wedding. His now wife is from Majorca and her parents put the wedding on. 75% of the wedding party which was a total of 260 guests, stayed there. My son and his bride were in Mallorca before me and went to make sure everything was perfect for me. Fausta was his contact. We can not say enough amazing accolades to describe her. She made sure everything was perfect. Even the small things that for me at the time were important such as getting me a lighted make up mirror, the perfect hairdryer, etc. She is a gem. The hotel was super clean and very comfortable. The bed was great. I had a junior suite that was roomy and very pretty. Also the gym, which is important to me, had great equipment. Opens at 7 AM until into the evening. Next time I am there, I will for sure stay there as long as Fausta is there. The entire staff was also great btw but Fausta went above and beyond. Thank you for making my stay wonderful
First of all I would like to compliment the lovely Alba who checked us in and checked us out . This young lady excels in customer service. My booking was made last February and I requested a good view, unfortunately my room was on the sixth floor and the view was not good at all , I couldn’t go out on balcony as it was to high up and I didn’t feel comfortable on the balcony at all . Having said that the weather was way too hot so it wasn’t really a big issue otherwise I would have requested a move . The hotel itself has very good facilities and the location is superb for getting around the city . The staff are extremely friendly . Housekeeping was kept to a very good standard. The restaurant bar downstairs 1923 I think was very good a good menu with fair prices and we enjoyed drinks and food there. The pool area could have done with more attention as a lot of tables were left with used glasses and not removed . We had a great stay and out second time back to the Saratoga and we will definitely return.
Superb hotel, well positioned for exploring the city. Rooms were delightful and the public areas great too. Only criticism was kids in the adults only pool, which was a bit annoying. Breakfast was huge, varied and high quality and the staff were all charming. Dinner was good too. Would love to return.
This hotel is in a great location fairly central to what you need in central Palma. It is a typical city centre hotel that is on average a 3 star, it’s definitely not a superior 4 star as advertised. Inside the hotel is a very tired decor, the air con in the rooms was very poor. Barely working. A very busy and popular hotel. The pool is deep and good for cooling down but the area around the pool was fairly unclean, with lots of used plastic glasses left around in tables with only 2 staff covering the whole pool area. I would summarise as cheap and cheerful. The staff were friendly and helpful despite being rushed off their feet.
