Castillo Hotel Son Vida

An excellent hotel as witnessed by the number of pet who make repeat visits. The hotel has extensive grounds, pools and a small semi private beach. The food is excellent and is waiter serving the main restaurants for dinner. The rooms are well appointed and cleaning is good. The staff are the key to the hotel’s hospitality. They are friendly and helpful and a testament to the Family owner’s hands on approach. I just have two areas where improvements could be made. Firstly the WiFi was intermittent in our room and when all information is provided via the internet this can cause frustration. Secondly all drinks etc are charged to the room but merely by giving your room number. No signature is required and there is no way of checking that the correct amounts are being charged to the correct room. I am sure this leads to a number of queries at checkout which would be avoided if a more secure system was in place. That apart Bon Sol is highly recommended and we will be returning next year.

My parents stayed at the Bon Sol a number of years ago and were often speaking about it so we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed we had a lovely room, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good. There was a beach party whilst we were there which was great. We liked the area and the bus into Palma made it easy to get around. Evening entertainment was good and we thoroughly enjoyed the week. My only gripe was the number of people who placed towels on sun beds at 6am but hardly used the beds. We have not experienced this before and I found it very selfish. Other than that it was a lovely stay and we will return.
