A truly excellent hotel.
We stayed in the Bordoy Continental for 5 nights in early September. The hotel is nicely situated in the Santa Catalina district and only a 10-15 minute walk from the main attractions of Palma. Check in was friendly, welcoming and efficient with all relevant information given to us. Although we arrived earlier than the check in time our room was ready. We had a deluxe double on the 2nd floor and it was a fabulous room. The bed was really big and extremely comfortable. Plenty of wardrobe space and hangers. And the bathroom was huge with lovely toiletries, bathrobes and slippers. The air conditioning was very efficient and we were so glad of it as Palma was very hot for the time of year! The breakfast, which was included in our Jet2 package, was superb. As well as the usual cereals, yogurts, fruit, cold meats, cheeses and pastries there was an a la carte menu with hot dishes cooked to order. The eggs benedict was yummy. The decor in the hotel was lovely too and there is a nice bar area. We didn't use the gym or sauna/jacuzzi facilities as the weather was so hot outside. Check out was at 11am and we were not leaving for the airport until 5.30pm but we were told that we could leave our luggage and also that we could use the spa to have showers before heading to the airport (towels available at the reception). This is the first time we have stayed in a hotel that has offered this facility to us without us having to ask. First class service. Special mention goes to Gema who was delightful both in the bar and when she was on breakfast duty. A lovely lady. I highly recommend this hotel. We had a wonderful stay.

Great hotel in Palma
Overall, a really enjoyable stay in a comfortable hotel with great service and a lovely atmosphere. The hotel is in a brilliant location, making it easy to explore Palma on foot, with plenty of restaurants, bars and attractions nearby. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Palma. Highly recommended!

Give it a go
Stayed the last week of Sept. Pros: beautiful and clean and housekeeping and waitstaff were more than accommodating. Food was fresh. Cons: No pool, inferior toilet paper and no tissue boxes. Front desk staff seemed dim

Great location, lovely breakfast, very clean and ideal if you are looking for a quiet hotel.
A quiet and elegant hotel
The Continental is a quiet and elegant hotel located about 1/2 mile from pretty much everything that a tourist would want to see, but not in a party district. The rooms are spotless and the decorating austere. Ask for a room on the top floor if you want a view, as our second floor balcony overlooked someone's laundry. A small bar and lovely breakfast area are one level down from the main entrance. A beautiful breakfast buffet is set out every morning from 7-11am, and included is a small menu from which you can order eggs any way, eggs Benedict, waffles, and bacon. The only drawback to the morning breakfast in that you must use the single coffee machine that disperses only half a cup of coffee no matter what choice you make. You have to press it twice, and people are waiting, and it is annoying to have to keep getting up again and getting in line for more coffee. But the lone woman waitress is an absolute delight and will make you a coffee in the kitchen if you ask her. The other delightful person was Frederico in the lobby who directed us to the best restaurants in the area. He is a fount of local knowledge and a foodie, so he was very helpful. He pulled up photos of the restaurants on his computer, so we could find them easier. One last important thing is that the hotel has a parking garage underneath, which is very convenient.
