Leonardo Royal Hotel Review
We had a wonderful stay at the Leonardo Royal Hotel from 9th/16th July 2026. The food was excellent, with a great variety of delicious options for everyone, including coeliacs. The staff were pleasant, approachable, and always happy to help. Aziz and Santiago were especially exceptional, with excellent knowledge of gluten intolerance that made dining stress free and reassuring. With the swimming pool and beach in our door step, the hotel was perfectly located for a relaxing holiday. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend the Leonardo Royal Hotel. We look forward to returning.

Location is the saving grace!
I’d take other reviews with a pinch of salt! Whilst we had an enjoyable holiday, due to company and our own experiences throughout, the hotel itself is below average. The nicest area and highest maintained is the reception area! Everywhere else is worn, dirty and damaged. We had so many issues that are all trivial in the grand scheme of things, but they all add up and impact the experience.
If you go self catering, prepare for absolutely no facilities and no interest in being served.
In general, fantastic location and that’s undeniable, however the hotel is dated, needs a lot of repair work and the cleaning is horrendous!

Having extensive experience working with chain hotels around the world, this is a complete disappointment... The staff is incredibly unprofessional when it comes to working with corporate clients. I've had to ask for something five or more times each time, and only after a heated conversation do they begin to do anything (eventually accusing them of being rude – after five to ten requests, you just want to scream from inaction).
Clients should be careful; we've had rooms left unlocked after cleaning on numerous occasions, and most of the safes don't work...
