Great hotel with lots going on
Great poolside activities - aqua bikes, aqua aerobics, trampoline class, Dj sets and sangria making. Always plenty of sunbeds and great selection of bar drinks. Staff all really friendly and there was a great choice of food at the Buffett and all tasted good . Rooms basic but clean and bevs were comfy, air con was a god send, location was close to beach (5mins) and strip (15mins). Can be quite noisey with people returning late at night

Too noisy and the hotel doesn't do anything about it
This hotel was a disappointment. I've stayed at Melia properties before and have considered them to be a good brand, but this hotel didn't measure up. The hotel felt like it really needed an upgrade and a really good scrub-down, aside from the lobby, which was nice. The noise was terrible at this place, and the hotel seemingly did nothing about it. If you're younger or want an American-style college spring break vibe, then this may be the right place for you. But if you're traveling with your family, I would recommend a different place & different general area.
The hotel charged us a deposit for towels, which we got back. But they only accept cash for the towel deposit, which forced me to go to their horribly overpriced ATM/cash machine and get charged $40USD in multiple fees and a terrible exchange rate to take out a small amount of cash. Total waste of money and time. I don't understand why they can't just charge a towel deposit to the room.
The pool itself was fine, but again, loud. Lots of younger people there. Fine to be around them, but their language and constant cigarette smoking was not anything I wanted my kids around. It's just not a good place for families with kids.
From what I can tell, all the hotel's family rooms are on each floor directly across from the elevators. This location was terrible. So loud and so chaotic there in the middle of the night by the spring break-style patrons I mentioned earlier. Asking for another room will do you no good, as all the other family rooms seem to be located in the same place.
If I were 19 again, I'd be all over this place. But I'm not, so I'm not.

Pleasantly surprised
My friend and I decided to go for a last minute girls weekend away. The location of the hotel to the beach and restaurants was great. The hotel itself was super clean, great AC and lots of space in the lobby. The pool was very big with lots of sun loungers and umbrellas. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They offered baggage lock up facilities and even a shower off of reception for those flying out late. The rooms were plain but comfortable and clean with a mini fridge ands e we had a nice balcony over looking the pool. All in all we were very impressed

Cleaners robbing money
Hotel was ok! But had do not disturb sign on door yet cleaner still come in our room and stole money from my bag they actually took the whole travel envelope with money inside instead of just taking the money and leaving envelope empty.. obvs to not make it obvious it went missing spoke to a few others and they also said money/ make up etc was missing after cleaners come in and ignored the do not disturb sign! So make sure you take all money out with you or lock your case!! They know they will get away with it as there’s no cctv for proof

The most amazing holiday! We went as a family with our 2 young girls (age 4 and 3) and can honestly say it was the best holiday we have ever been on. The hotel is beyond expectations, food delicious, staff went above and beyond at all times. The pool and kids entertainers were the absolute best! I’m sad I didn’t manage to get there names - but they did everything they could for my little girl Ella. They did tattoos, water inflatables, water activities in the kids pools. We often walked past the big pool and constantly watching the entertainers giving 100000% effort with their guests. My little girl is now home and cries saying she misses them all and misses the kids disco on a night time. We can’t thank this hotel enough for giving us a beyond spectacular experience. Also, rooms were absolutely immaculate and security is on top form to minimise any trouble, giving that sense of safety. We were a little concerned at first that choosing Magaluf was the wrong choice for taking young kids but we will never chose to go anywhere else now. Everything is on the doorstep! Thank you to you all - a holiday and memories we will never forget ❤️ We miss you all!
