This adult only hotel is located on the seafront in Playa de Palma. Boasting a prime beach location, the hotel is just 5 km away from the airport, and a few minutes' drive from Palma. The hotel offers 226 air-conditioned rooms, fitted with standard amenities, a complete bathroom and a balcony. The hotel has 2 magnificent outdoor pools: the main pool next to the sea promenade affords stunning sea views, whilst another pool is at the rear of the hotel where the facilities include an à la carte pool bar and Bali beds. The hotel also features a lounge bar and wellness zone with a heated pool, sauna and Turkish bath for guests to enjoy a relaxing day as well as a choice of sports facilities including bicycle parking, tennis court and fitness room.

Perfect getaway
There is a reason we keep coming back and that is because The El Cid always offers a warm welcome. Standards are always high and never drop. Victoria on reception is a lovely lady who does everything she can to make our stay as we want it. Veronica, Victoria, Miguel keep service going effortlessly in the restaurant. Nothing is too much trouble. As always the food was great and always a good choice. The fruit selection was my favourite! Tasty, fresh and delicious. I can’t end my review without mentioning the cleaning staff. They are all incredible and keep the hotel spotless at all times. I think a tell tale sign of a well run hotel is the same staff are there year after year. The staff all seem happy in their work and that makes us as the guests feel happy and relaxed knowing they have everything in hand! We are water babies. The sea is literally 1 min walk away from the hotel. We went in three times a day!!! I also used the hotel pools. Can Pastilla in comparison to some resorts, is quiet but we loved that. Plenty going on without rowdy stag and hen parties. I felt safe walking on my own at night while my other half watched the World Cup. See you again next year!
Nice stay
Really enjoyed staying here, the view was amazing and definitely one of the best parts of the hotel. The Room was really nice, clean and decorated well. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, so there was never anything to worry about. They made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was also really good, and we enjoyed every meal. I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.

Pests on the beach
Hotel is nice, clean and friendly we got a free upgrade. Food is really nice, drinks are reasonably priced. Downside is the beach at first we thought it was nice and quite and after paying € 30.00 for 2 sunbeds and relaxing in to our day we got asked if we wanted a massage easily about 40 times by people wandering up and down the beach. I get that people need to make money but Im not going to change my mind in 5 to 10 minutes. It became a real nuisance being pestered that amount of times and somewhat ruins your time to just chill out and relax. And for anyone thinking just ignore them....you can't..unless they're hiding from the police. However this does not reflect on the hotel or the actual beach as it is kept clean and the sea is beautiful.

Lovely hotel with great views
Fabulous Stay, very clean, Room was nice with comfy bed and housekeeping very good. No shower cap so take your own. Toiletries available if you ask. Food was good with a nice variety. Allergies, it would’ve been helpful if there was a gluten free breakfast area with bread / pastries like other hotels I’ve experienced. Plenty of fruits, cheese and yoghurts though. Labelling of allergens would also be helpful so you don’t feel a nuisance to the staff. Chef was very accommodating but had to keep asking what was safe to eat. Overall a lovely stay.
