Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We had a great one-week stay at the end of August, which is still peak season. There were lots of young kids around, so I’d say it’s a really good choice for families. If you don’t have kids, I’d probably avoid peak season as the restaurant and common areas can get quite loud.
We were a couple with a 12-year-old and even though a lot of the activities and entertainment were aimed at younger children, we still had a really good time.
The hotel was very clean and we got an amazing apartment. Just something to keep in mind there are no lifts to the apartments, only stairs.
The staff were definitely the highlight. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and genuinely lovely, and they really made the holiday a 10/10 for us.
The cocktails by the pool were also surprisingly great! Unlike some all-inclusives we’ve stayed at where the cocktails are basically watered down juice, these ones were good and actually had alcohol in them, after a few I was definitely feeling it!
We also managed to do some of the activities, like archery (which we loved!) and beer pong, so us adults had some fun too.
The location is great close to Cala Ferrera and Cala Esmeralda, which was our favourite. It’s also within walking distance of plenty of shops and restaurants, which was nice for exploring in the evenings.
As for the all-inclusive food, I’d say it was better than some other all-inclusives we’ve stayed at, but not amazing. Some days there were some really tasty options, while other days the choice was much more limited, especially when it came to protein, and some dishes were quite bland. So it was a bit hit and miss, but overall still decent.
All in all, we had a really lovely week and would definitely recommend it, especially for families. The amazing staff, great location and overall atmosphere made it a really enjoyable stay.
We have just got back from a 9 night stay. It was by far the best family holiday we have had. The hotel is lovely, location is perfect. It's close to the beautiful beaches, restaurants, bars and shops etc. The staff were amazing, from the entertainment team to the reception staff. They were so welcoming and happy all the time. The kids loved them so much. The daytime entertainment was fantastic as was the evening.
We will be back next year for sure!
Thanks so much
Just returned as a family with 2 young children (6 and 3) and have had an amazing time! There’s so much going on for kids and all the children are constantly playing together around the pool because of this. The entertainment team are incredible!!
We did encounter some ants, however reception very quickly got a maintenance man to put stuff down and gave us a spray which helped massively. The staff at reception are also very helpful and a lady from guest relations tries to touch in with all guests every day.
Location is great and it’s just a short walk into the town. The beach is also lovely and worth the visit.
The food was good and we always found plenty to eat. Only thing I’d say is the snack bar could do with a bit of variety other than just ‘beige’ food. Kids loved the freezers full of ice creams they could access all the time.
So many guests in this hotel have been before and returned and I’m sure we’ll be returning too. For the cost I think it’s very good value for money and the perfect hotel for families.
We have just returned from a wonderful week here.
Room: spotless! We stayed in room M204. It was clean and spacious for 2 adults and a child. The room has a kitchenette (with a kettle), separate bedroom, HUGE balcony, bathroom and 2 single beds in living space. At first on the map it seems daunting as it looks like its miles away from anything, however it was actually a perfectly located room, we were near the quieter pool which we spent the week at.
Staff: helpful, friendly and knowledgable. Nothing is too much trouble and everybody made you feel welcome. Everybody worked so hard to keep this hotel clean and running smoothly. Every staff member was happy to be there and took pride in their hotel. The entertainment team were phenomenal. Special mention to Santiago on reception who was amazing.
Entertainment: Sensei the Octopus is adorable. If you go to the shows do not miss the African Acrobats, they were amazing. If you manage to catch ‘The book of cronus’ well thats an experience that you have to see to believe, its a very strange show featuring a summoned devil, an elvis painting, neon acrobats, more summoning of the devil and a leather masked fire section, theres only 2 people performing but its just very odd.
Pools: Wow! The pools were just bliss, they were a perfect temperature all day, no need to brace yourself for a freezing start, just glide straight in for a cooling, perfect swim. The bigger pool had all the entertainment and activities however the smaller pool was a quieter more relaxed atmosphere. We experienced both and preferred the smaller pool as a personal preference.
Food: the restaurant was spotless, everything tasted fresh and not reheated as with some Al i have been too. This restaurant has some of the best AI food we have experienced.
Location: beautiful! Cala Dor is a lively town with hundreds of shops, bars, restaurants etc however it does not feel over crowded or city like.
If i could find one small inconvenience it would be that there are no toilets near the restaurant and you have to go back across to the pool area, this isn’t easy with children who normally need to go once they’re desperate, however it will not stop me giving 5*.
We have stayed in this hotel before, however this was around 13 years ago, so we were interested to see how it had changed. It was all amazing. All in all we have had a fantastic week here, would return and recommend.
First time staying here with 2 young kids aged 3 & 5. Reception staff, waiting staff, entertainment and housekeeping - brilliant. Very friendly, attentive. Great variety of food at meal times and to keep you happy during the day. There are good group of entertainers keeping children busy doing activities in the day and they also are excellent dancers! A mention to the manager who was also excellent and very helpful to all the guests. There are 3 pools all situated in different locations - There are “lifeguards” on duty - please be mindful of you have small children. My 2 went into the pool and struggled in the water. Yes was totally my own fault for misjudging the depth and they ran up to the slides in excitement on the first day. However both came into difficulty after coming down the slides where I had to dive in. My daughter was struggling for a good 6-7 seconds before I managed to reach her. My son in particular, this happened practically infront of the lifeguard who was completely oblivious to both situations and a rather attentive parent helped him above water. They are an external company according to the manager but seem to be more interested being on their phones or constantly giggling to each other via walkie talkies. A lot of the time they aren’t even there - collecting glasses or walking aimlessly about. There was a big ant problem - in the rooms mainly. We called to reception and were told we couldn’t change room due to no manager being there and needed permission. However housekeeping presented and helped to clear the ants but periodically they came back in small droves. I had a lot of small bites on my hands and feet. Other families had the same issue. The hotel layout is very spread out - you have to cross the road to get to the restaurant so it’s not all in one location. I don’t think I would come back here personally but most families and couples would find it a great place to stay. The strip is very small but has restaurants that are always busy. Overall, was a very pleasant hotel but I would explore others before I would consider coming back.
