This pleasant hotel lies directly in Cala Bona Marina just 100 m from the nearest beautiful sandy beach. Cala Millor with its many shopping and entertainment venues is just 1 km away whilst the nearest links to the public transport network are about 250 m from the hotel. The island's capital town of Palma and the international airport is about 70 km away. The elegant, fully air-conditioned hotel offers 4 floors with a total of 189 rooms. Each of the tastefully decorated apartments comes with a bathroom, a telephone, air conditioning, central heating, a hire safe and a balcony. Guests have access to a fabulous pool and garden complex and facilities include a cosy bar and a restaurant. There is a swimming pool as well as a furnished sun terrace for guests to take advantage of.
This was mine and my partners second time staying at this hotel after staying here in 2025, on arrival it was very clear to see that the hotel had lacked the TLC every hotel requires over time and within a year it had deteriorated. The positives are the location of the hotel which couldn't be better and the waiters/waitresses are second to none and they work so hard with what they are given as the hotel is tired but it pains me to say that's as far as the positives go. The rooms haven't changed in 10 years and neither has the bar furniture or the sunbeds on the upper deck, the pool area is missing tiles and is never hoovered, one of the Jacuzzis which worked last year now doesn't work and also has missing caps which means the one that does 'work' when the button is pressed is more like mount etna going off.
The room we had was the deluxe sea view room with balcony and honestly is was worse than most 3 star hotels, the bathroom door didn't shut let alone lock the cleanliness of the hotel also doesn't exist as we stayed this time for 2 weeks in 37c-38c heat and yet the bedding was never changed during this time so just smelt of sweat and sun cream and the maids just made the bed and changed towels nothing else, we also saw cockroaches in the second building where pool is and we 'lucky' enough to have one in our room on first floor room 116.
The buffet restaurant is poorly organised so constantly zig zagging for the bits you want for a meal so by the time you get to your table its luke warm at best. the counter for cooking fresh food is far too small so you end up with long queues for the fresh hot food which courses the above also. The food is bland and average with very little variety for dinner, breakfast is average and very boring again no variety with cold beans even if you arrived first thing as doors open.
Again same issue with breakfast for the omelettes and fried eggs cooked by the chef he doesn't have enough cooking space to speed up the service so you just have another queue, this is not the staffs fault but the hotel.
The bar area is tired and same furniture from 2015 and the sofas and seats some have stains and are dirty, the cocktails in the bar are not even average and you can get better at Hotel Levante or Cafe Mint which allows you to tell the difference
Extremely disappointing that these issues arose on a holiday we were looking forward to and didn't expect things to be this bad in just over a year, obviously the hotel lacks investment and has got complacent, although price wise its cheap there are far better options in this area which we will be visiting in the future.
if you want a cheap experience with below average service and no real amenities then this is the hotel for you, however if you want a hotel which is looked after and maintained with high service then there are plenty of other choices i.e. hotel Levante, Hotel Alicia and Hotel Globales which also offer All Inclusive for the latter.
We have stayed in lesser hotels and self catering which was better than our second visit to this hotel, will not be returning. Hope you save your hard earned money also.
Went to this hotel for 4 nights as a mother and daughter. Room was lovely, given a sea view and housekeeping was quick and efficient every morning. The beds were comfy, and bathroom was spacious. Stayed half board and the food was great, had plenty of variety which often is lacking in all-inclusive, but we also ate out as lots of restaurants around. Staff were lovely and friendly and very accomodating. The proximity to the harbour made it even better (pretty boats!), and the hotel is positioned in the quieter end of the beachfront so not too noisy at night but not too far from bars etc. Really nice beach coves nearby and a longer walk to the bigger, busier one further along the coast, plus plenty of shops nearby for necessities. Would absolutely go to this hotel again.
Good location lots of bars and beaches close by. Chilled atmosphere but nice lively bars near. Clean rooms and good service. Food was good but quite similar stuff every night. Overall great experience
Our first time in Mallorca, and Cala Bona. The hotel was in a lovely location in the harbour. The general atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming with busier bars etc along the promenade towards Cala Millor. We had some frustrating and disappointing issues with room allocation on arrival, it was eventually resolved but sadly were still not as we had expected or hoped. The hotel/room cleanliness was great, the housekeeping team worked hard and were also very friendly. We opted for half board, and whilst I had read that the food wasn't considered great, my family thought it was very good. Lots to choose from at every meal, which suited different tastes! Again the staff here were fantastic, friendly, attentive and hard working. Unfortunately the pool/sunbed situation was as many people find nowadays, frustrating! The rule to not put towels out was not upheld by the hotel. However, with the beautiful rock pool areas in the sea just a 5 minute walk away, these made up for it! Overall, we had a wonderful holiday, lots to keep us busy, great atmosphere, amazing weather and lovely location. Finally one last mention to the entertainments lady/representative (apologies but didn't get her name, she was from Bulgaria); she was friendly, helpful and a credit to the team!
Just back from this hotel. I had some concerns before going due to other reviews so wanted to give my honest review. Check in was very smooth & we had help taking cases to our room & was shown everything in the room & how the free safe & free air conditioning worked. Room seemed smaller than some photos I'd seen but it was fine for us. Lovely view of the pool. Very clean. Only criticism is no washing line or similar to hang wet clothes but we managed & the large mirror has no plug socket next to it. Room was cleaned daily & left spotless. Good fridge in the room & TV. Only had bed & breakfast. Excellent choice at breakfast- fried eggs & pancakes cooked fresh. Hotel was clean & pool area kept well. There are signs saying sunloungers cannot be reserved &that staff will remove towels. Sadly this is not true. On our first night, we sat &watched someone reserve 6 beds at midnight & they weren't removed. Some had towels on them until gone lunchtime without being occupied. We tended to go to the upstairs terrace but not always able to get a parasol. Manager to keep our room for a late check out for a small fee. Overall, excellent value for money. Sunbeds being the biggest issue as it is in most hotels but the signs saying towels will be removed by staff is not adhered to.
