The swimming pools are the heart of the THB Flora hotel. This is where guests flock to swim and mingle, to soak up some sun and take it easy. Fringed with palm trees, there's no better place to while away the hours. There's a great snack bar on hand too, so you can spend as much of the day outside, with snacks and cool drinks whenever you fancy.
The THB Flora's gardens are another big attraction. It's a real treat to be able to step out of the sun for a while and enjoy a shady stroll around the hotel, taking in the delights of the garden as you go.
Your convenience and comfort are top of the agenda so there's a handy laundry service*, Wi-Fi*, and a supermarket all on-site. There's also a wide choice of accommodation, from studios to two bedroom apartments and Junior Suites, each with a kitchenette, balcony or terrace. Of course, it's not just the practical things that make a good place to stay it's all the little extras like great live entertainment, and lots of games, from pool to table tennis. My 5-night stay at the THB Flora apartments in Puerto del Carmen was completely ruined by a devastating security failure and an appalling lack of customer care from management. What was supposed to be a relaxing holiday turned into a nightmare on our third night when our apartment was broken into and our belongings were stolen. Discovering that our room had been compromised was deeply distressing, but the way the hotel handled the aftermath made the situation significantly worse. When we reported the robbery, the manager on duty showed zero empathy or compassion, treating a traumatic incident like an inconvenience to their shift. They were entirely unhelpful, offered no meaningful apology or support, and appeared completely uninterested in taking responsibility or even assisting us with the basic security steps required to contact the local police. Aside from the major security threat and a complete lack of basic hospitality protocols, the property itself feels dated and poorly monitored. Given how vulnerable the apartments are and the management’s total indifference toward guest safety and welfare, I strongly advise anyone considering a stay here to look elsewhere. A holiday should be a safe space, but THB Flora proved to be anything but secure or supportive
Great family hotel
Stayed for 10 nights. Spotless hotel, excellant swiming pools. We had a great time. I had read the previous reviews about break ins. All quiet when we were there, free safe provided in Flora 2. So never had any worries.

Didn’t feel safe here - wouldn’t stay again!!!!
Was apprehensive about staying here due to the past reviews , thought we would give the hotel the benefit of the doubt . Checked in and wanted an upgrade ( which we had requested 2 weeks prior ) they couldn’t accommodate us until the 3rd day for the upgrade, at which point we stayed in our original room as there would have been an extra charge added for exactly the same room - in hindsight we should have maybe moved rooms , but you don’t expect to have to watch your back when on holiday and we initially thought it was safe and their were cameras, I did not see any cameras at flora 2 .
The 3rd evening around 19:15 someone tried to enter our room , we would have normally been in the dinner restaurant at this time but was late heading out , as soon as I shouted hello , the man ran off , this made us feel uneasy and scared for our safety and belongings . We packed up our stuff and checked out 4 days early . When speaking to reception they wasn’t at all shocked , wasn’t interested in the man’s description , didn’t assure us they would check the security cameras , just made us sign a form to say we were checking out early! Totally unacceptable. This happened at Flora 2 across the road from the hotel. I have never felt as unsafe as I did here, in all the past hotels I have stayed in. The food is lovely and the entertainment team are really good , but the safety and management processes and service are to be desired. Building work is being carried out which I understand needs to happen , but there was a tear in this as you can see from the pictures enabling people being able to get into the gated area. It wasn’t maintenance as we didn’t request them , and housekeeping had already been in that day . I did think at first was it someone just at the wrong room , but why did he run off ? He didn’t look like staff, and I think he was maybe expecting no one to be in the room at the time! Anyway best decision we made was to check out of the hotel - ended up at a beautiful hotel where we felt safe and continued our holiday. I wouldn’t stay here , I have contacted the agent we booked through to see if they will stop recommending this hotel . if you’re looking for a safe place stay elsewhere

Great stay with a fantastic breakfast selection, but the cats issue is one area needs attention
We really enjoyed our recent October stay at the TBH Flora. There were many highlights, along with just a couple of areas for improvement, but overall it offers excellent value for money and we would definitely return.
Good Location: The hotel is situated near the old town and harbour. It’s an easy 10-minute walk to a massive choice of bars and restaurants. Scotch Corner is a great little nearby bar with live music! A walk to the main strip would be around 15/20 minutes. Taxi's are available and really cheap, 4 Euros would get you to the strip easily.
• Excellent Breakfast: Without a doubt, this breakfast is up there with the best you will ever see in a hotel. The selection was vast—featuring a great hot English breakfast, freshly made dishes, fruits, cheeses, hams, pastries, and buns. It was brilliant!
• Outstanding Staff: The entire team was excellent. No matter their role, everyone we encountered was polite and helpful.
• Good Rooms: We stayed in room 134 on the reception side. The room was spacious, spotless, and came equipped with everything we needed. The complex itself was lovely and quiet at night.
• Pool & Amenities: The October weather was fantastic, so the pool was warm and comfortable. As it was October, there were plenty of sunbeds available. The on-site supermarket was also a huge plus—we bought large, chilled beers and ciders from the fridge for just €2 each.
Evening Dining - We only ate at the hotel for dinner a couple of times. The food was good, though if I were being super critical, it could have been a bit hotter. However, that is a fairly common issue with large hotel buffets and didn't spoil the meal.
Needs Improvement - • The Cat Situation: I don't mind cats at all, and while there are plenty around, they didn't personally bother us. Our room was near the kids' splash park, the smell of cat urine outside was incredibly strong. It was overpowering enough that it stopped us from sitting out on our veranda. If there is one urgent area the hotel needs to address and clean up, this is definitely it.
Summary: Despite the issue outside our room, the fantastic food, staff, and good location made this a really nice holiday. I would recommend it and would gladly stay here again!

Dirty Bedding, Ants & Unhelpful Reception
Honestly would never recommend. We stayed in the section across the round. We arrived on a late flight from Glasgow to dirty bedding as per photos, reception advised they could give us new bedding (which when they brought it out was also dirty) so ultimately no resolution. Everyday we received bedding that had stains of some type all you want and expect is a clean bed. A number of very small ants in the room in higher up areas than I’d usually find them on holidays. Numerous occasions whilst on my phone late at night or early in the morning ants ran across my phone screen.
I have been in touch with loveholidays and the hotel about this since my return but the grievance i logged on my first day is apparently ‘not on the system’ conveniently for THB Flora.
Aside from the room the pool area in the main hotel are is lovely, the bar there is nice. Breakfast/Lunch was also lovely with wife variety for everyone.
However if you need assistance from reception chocolate teapot comes to mind.
