The apartment complex is located in a peaceful area of Playa de los Pocillos. The sand/shingle beach, public transport links and the tourist centre with restaurants, bars, pubs, nightclubs and shops lie around 200 m away, whilst the centre is 1 km away and the airport lies 10 km from the hotel.
The complex comprises 23 villas and offers a refuge of peace and quiet. Amongst the facilities count a foyer with 24-hour reception desk, a currency exchange desk and a cloakroom. Additional facilities at the neighbouring Hyde Park Lane bungalow complex may also be used including a bar, a café, a small supermarket, an air-conditioned restaurant with a smoking area and highchairs for children, a dining room, a conference room and Internet access. A bicycle hire service and a car park are additionally to be found here.
Each villa has its own garden with a heated swimming pool and sun terrace with hammocks, sun loungers and parasols. The villas include 2 bedrooms, a large kitchen, 2 bathrooms with hairdryer, one of which includes a bath with Jacuzzi function and washing machine. Further fittings include a direct dial telephone, satellite TV, a fridge, a microwave, tea and coffee making facilities, a safe, a double bed and a seating area.
Guests may also make use of all the facilities at the neighbouring Hyde Park Lane hotel. Sun loungers and parasols are laid out additionally available for use on the beach (for an additional fee). A karting track can be reached in about 500 m, the marina is about 1 km away, whilst a golf course lies 25 km away.

We would 100% return
Really clean, Nice relaxing holiday and choice of busy pool or quiet. We mainly used the quiet pool. Breakfasts are fantastic, Evening buffet Is Ok if you can't be bothered going to the strip. Only downfall is its a bit of a walk to the main strip, Use Google maps to get a handy short cut. Taxis are cheap enough though ranging from 4 to 6 euro to and from the main strip.
Lovely family oriented hotel
We had a great time here! I came with my mother and my daughter! The staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean! A great selection of food and entertainment. Mini club has been the best part of our trip and David made it all worth while! I was nervous about leaving my daughter but she build a beautiful relationship with David. I stayed a couple of times at the beginning which was no problem at all. I saw how he cared for all the children and shown genuine passion for the job! He made everyone feel included! There were games such as uno, mini disco, Zumba and feeding the parakeets! (And so much more) I’ve booked to come back next year purely for the mini club, I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my little girl!
4 star hotel 5 star experience
This was our third stay at Hpl and again we absolutely loved it.
From the moment you open your bungalow door the freshness hits you . Spotlessly clean and they worked hard to keep it that way throughout our stay .
We are always made to feel very comfortable.
The amenities at hpl are also great from the lovely staff at the pool bar which also has great entertainment . We ate a few times at the pool bar and it was great , good food and good value.
We find the location perfect as its a quiet location but you are a short distance away from the main strip and matagorda.
As our bus transfer was later in the day they allowed us to continue to use the facilities until we departed .
We highly recommend hpl and we can't wait to go back next year.

Extended family now
I cannot fault this hotel or its staff . We didn’t go there on holiday but flew out as our 11yr grandson suddenly passed away while on holiday with family and friends . I have never known such hospitality under such awful circumstances. The owner, manager Tony and David ( play leader ) went beyond their duties to look after us all . From organising taxis to and forth to the memora hospital visits with my other grandson they honestly couldn’t do enough . They say not all heroes wear capes and there’s certainly a few heroes in that hotel . We were only there about four days and as we had a later flight ( his parents and siblings stayed longer to deal with bringing their boy home ) the hotel arranged a small intimate memorial dedicating a bench and planting a tree in our grandsons name how do you every repay that . We will be ever grateful for what you all done for us and you’ll be part of our extended family ❤️❤️❤️

A very good self catering apartment
Just about finished our 7 night stay at Hyde park bungalows. We are staying at one of the ones across the road from the main reception area.
The apartment is small, but for a family of 3 there's space. It's actually quite comfortable at night time, to relax and watch TV or sit on the porch and have a beer. The apartment is cleaned every 2nd day beds made, fresh sheets and towels. WiFi in each room which is handy. Kitchen is adequate, 2 ring hob, fridge, above freezer, and utensils to cook. The water from sink doesn't go hot to clean the dishes though.
The bedroom is fine, pillows and mattress comfortable and closet for hanging and storing clothes.
There is 2 pool areas I believe. But we have just used the 'quiet' one a few times. There's plenty of beds, no strict rules and water is nice. There is no pool bar at this pool but a short walk across the road you can get food and drinks and bring them over. We haven't eaten at the restaurant so can't comment.
Lastly location. A short walk to the beach. 5 mins? There is also a spar and bars and restaurants further along as if you were walking to Puerto del carmen centre. The promenade is lovely for walking along either way.
Great wee find this and would stay here again if price is right 👍 ☀️
