Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Nice hotel. All staff lovely My only complaint is the lunch time food was very disappointing. Not a good choice and in the pool bar in the heat. . All cramped together needs to change this
The hotel is picturesque, however has several flaws.
Average food and cocktail selection Long walks for local amenities, 2 mile plus walk to the main promenade Poor availability of sun loungers and umbrellas
Not worth a 4 star rating, however worth a visit for a the right price if you prefer the quiet style of holiday.
Location: The hotel is quite far out to playa Blanca centre. A 49 minute walk or a 10 minute taxi ride which is approx €5-7 euro. There is a nearby supermarket approx 5 minute walk with an Iceland (sells English food and hygiene products) and a superdino. You can also catch bus 161 from the bus station in playa Blanca centre for €3 euro to puerto del carmen.
Cleanliness: The rooms were cleaned to a good standard, no bugs/ants present. The pool and the hotel surroundings were also visibly clean.
Food: Breakfast and dinner were served in the main restaurant, with very little selection. Lunch was served at the pool bar, which included burgers, pizza, burgers etc. there is also a shop next to the main bar but it is very expensive.
Drinks: The drinks on a whole were good, with a wide selection of freshly made cocktails, soft drinks, beers, and you get a discount on other paid drinks if you are all inclusive. The pina colada was absolutely to die for! There is also a water station by the bar where you can refill bottles if required.
Staff: The staff seemed pleasant during interaction. We did ask for an iron on 3 separate evenings and were told one would be brought to the room but it took 3 days to eventually get one. We also had an issue with the strength of the air conditioning in the room as it was still very warm in the room of an evening. They stated this was normal.
Amenities: There were plenty of sunloungers, however they were taken by multiple towels so difficult to get some together if you are travelling with multiple people. There is a sun terrace on the top floor of the hotel where naked sunbathing is allowed for some bizzare reason, especially when children can go up there. On check out day it states that your all inclusive stops at 12pm, which if you have a later flight this can cause issues. However we spoke to reception and stated that we was not allowed to check in until 15:00 on the day of arrival and they allowed us to extend this until 15:00 on the departure date.
Playa Blanca town: We attempted to get a taxi at 22:00 one of the evenings and the queue for the taxi rank in the town had over 50+ in, and taxis were only arriving every half an hour. We ended up having to walk the 49 minutes back to the hotel, however this isn’t possible for everyone. So I definitely recommend planning your trip around this.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel, however the location let it down as it was not in walking distance to local towns/restaurants meaning money was spent on taxis every evening.
This is our 3rd visit to this lovely hotel, and as usual lived up to our expectations. We had room 346 for the 3rd time with a beautiful sea view. All the staff whether housekeeping, reception, bar staff or catering staff do a wonderful job keeping us happy. I have to mention the brilliant transformation of the restaurant. There was a refurbishment going on and the hotel did a wonderful job of this happening like an illusion before our eyes. It was lovely walking in each day to see the difference, by the time we left it was beautifully done with no interference to guests at all. The food this year was even better than last year, especially the pork casserole, gorgeous. I can see management are listening to what people say, I feel they have refined the cooking areas and it all looks more professional. A great job done. We will be back next year! Keep up the good work.
This is our second visit here had a lovely room 320 pool view side of the pool which we had requested after having last year Brillant access rooms fantastic . The hotel is fantastic only thing we found not good was the food struggled sometimes find something eat also since last year lunch is now in the pool bar rather than the restaurant. Wouldn’t put us off going again as we could go out eat but if you were a family and paid all inclusive it could end up a expensive do
