Little things can spoil your stay.
Excellent hotel, staff and room. Sadly littlest of things that spoilt our stay. Limited sunbeds available from 9am, yet no monitoring of sun bed use. Some have towels on for several hours without use, selfish guests need to be challenged. Food good but not always hot, especially at breakfast. Only bacon and eggs are hot, as you have to queue for them to be served by one chef. Whilst all side dishes are under lights and these are luke warm at best.
Sunbed nightmare at a great hotel
We have been to the Iberostar Selection Lanzarote Park hotel on numerous occasions previously and cannot fault the location, close to Playa Flamenco beach and a short stroll to the shops along the seafront of Playa Blanca. There is a very relaxed vibe at the hotel where you can get involved with the activities if you feel that way inclined. Evening entertainment at both the main bar area and the Star Prestige area. The rooms are nice with everything you would need. We had a Star Prestige room on the second floor. I would definitely recommend the ground floor suites with direct access to the Star Prestige pool area as we have previously booked. The mini bar is replenished daily if used and dressing gowns are supplied. The staff are amazing, always looking to make sure you have everything you need. The drinks selection on all inclusive is excellent with many different brands available The Star Prestige bar with Jan and his team always have a smile on their faces. The main bar with Antonio Romero and his team really make you welcome and remember what you drink. All the other staff are fantastic from reception, cleaners, chefs and serving staff in the restaurant. Now unfortunately the downside and the main reason we holiday in the Canary Islands. The sunshine. We are both sun worshippers and are usually on our sun beds for the day from 9.30 in the morning after having breakfast. This time though there were hardly any sun beds available as all had been reserved by 8.30 in the morning. Most were not used until well after 11 o’clock. I advised reception of this problem on our first morning and was advised they would pass it on to the management. Nothing changed for the eight days we were there. It has seriously made us think about coming back. We were in the Star Prestige area and pay a premium for this area. I have attached a video showing this problem taken from our balcony

Definitely a 5* experience
Every single member of staff we came across were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic. Special shout out to Aaron and Fanni - we took part in a lot of the fitness activities and they were fantastic! The hotel is very clean and the food was spectacular. Would 100% recommend this hotel!

A lovely iberostar hotel but not 5 star
We have stayed at Ibetostar Tenerife before so was expecting a similar standard: Don’t get me wrong, I felt the service and communal layout, food, drinks (AI) was 5 star standard but the accommodation was a deep let down.
Rooms are tired and furniture well worn. It wasn’t a comfortable stay at all.
Rooms seem to have problems with ants.
Staff are very friendly and attentive and I think if your travelling without children the prestige part looks superior quality. Children’s Christmas activities were well below the standard we had during our Christmas Tenerife Iberostar stay, in fact virtually non existent:

October 2026 - Iberostar Playa Blanca Star Prestige
We are just back from our third stay at this beautiful hotel (October 2026), already booked for August 2027 and possible might squeeze another week in on April 2027 if I'm allowed ;-)
We stayed in Block 3, Star Prestige, ground floor pool access Junior Suite, room 3017.
This is a fantastic hotel, from the first minute you enter the reception to the time you check out you are treated like a 5* guest. At reception we met Irma, whom we have previously corresponded with prior to our visits to sort out any special requests etc, it was nice to finally put a face to the name. Irma is a credit to the Iberostar chain, super professional and willing to go that extra mile for her guests, thank you Irma, you are one of the many reasons we keep coming back. Keep up the great work and we are looking forward to seeing you again in the future.
Our room was excellent, pool access is definitely the way to go, we only used the main door twice during our stay, straight out to the pool and poolside facilities via the sliding patio doors, which is a plus, yes it is a little bit more expensive but for us it is worth it. Thanks to the lovely cleaning staff, who look after us well and are always happy to accommodate any room requests if needed. The daily included SP room mini bar restock is very welcome and appreciated.
We have stayed both Star Prestige AI and HB and tbh for us SP HB suits us best as we are not big drinkers but it still caters for all our needs.
The SP restaurant is very nice and quieter than the may buffet restaurant, obviously being SP it is adults only, you can pick food from either restaurant but retire to the quieter surroundings for the SP side to eat, which is nice. The food selection is very good, we are not fussy eaters and never fail to come back with a full plate of delicious food, I miss my morning freshly made omelette's and granola bowls.
The SP pool bar is always lively during the day, the bar staff are excellent, good fun and again super professional, always willing to go that extra mile for their guests, thanks to Ester, activities guru and absolute fantastic lady, her quizzes, gin and mojito making classes are not to be missed, Alejandro, Julian, Jan, Eduardo, Solanneo (I hope I got that right) and the rest of the gang.
I love the walk to lighthouse every morning, nice and early as the sun is coming up, great way to start the day, I need it to offset all the San Miguel and lovely food.
All in all a fantastic hotel, I guess that's why we keep coming back, roll on 2027.
