H10 Lanzarote Princess

Writing this on my last night in the hotel with a sad 8 year old who wants to stay here forever. Honestly amazing, our first time visiting and spoke to many other families here who are on their 8th 9th 10th+ visit and I can see why, probably the best holiday we’ve been on as a family. Staff have been amazing and friendly throughout the hotel, from cleaners to bar staff, entertainment staff, waiters/waitresses, reception staff, and even the lifeguards who I watched making sure rowdy kids weren’t up to no good in the pool which was great having a young child in the pool, really professional and always on the look out. Pool was clean and so much room for everybody, felt my 2 year old was safe with me and had enough room while my 8 year old swam about too and the bigger pool had mainly older kids and adults! Food selection was great, we were all inclusive and had breakfast and lunch here every day, we had dinner twice as we wanted to go out and explore! Mini bar in room was a nice touch for all inclusive guests, arcade for the kids, lots of places to sit at night in different locations, hotel was clean and lovely! Entertainment was great for the kids, two year old was up dancing and asking all throughout the day to go to the “disco” 8 year old wasn’t interested in any of the shows saying she’ll find them boring but was sat on the edge of her seat every night watching the performers which was great, especially liked the circus show! Would have liked to have booked into the different restaurants but wasn’t sure how to, probably should have asked at reception. If I were to stay again I would look at a bigger room as we wernt originally meant to stay here only changed to this hotel 3 months before our date to fly out so will definitely next time be having a proper look at the all options for the hotel. 10/10 would recommended to anyone and can see us making it into the high number of visits like the many other people we spoke to.

Hotel has some really good points. Location is great. The staff are in the main friendly and the reception staff are very good. On leaving the rather plush reception initial impressions weren't great, seemingly endless corridor with a horrible carpet. On entering our room, a Junior Suite, it was again slightly disappointing. The bathroom was small with an over the bath shower. I think the yellowing dirty sealant gave it a dated uncared for look. However there was plenty of storage in the bathroom & in the room. Which was a very pleasant change. There were 2 wardrobes each with plenty of hangers. The room was very clean, beds & sofa were very comfortable so it once we got settled in it was better than our first impression. The bath/shower combination was confusing as no instructions but the cold water tap controls whether the water comes via the tap or shower head. There's no extractor fan in the bathroom so it gets very hot & steamy. There were however plenty of toiletries including body lotion. We initially had issues with the air con which took 2 maintenance visits & some persistence to resolve. Disappointingly afterwards we found the maintenance card which was dated a week previously reporting problems with the air con. So make a nuisance of yourselves if there are any maintenance issues. Around the main pool was exceptionally clean. There weren't however enough parasols and the ones were there were fixed. The only really shady sun loungers were right by the speakers, so finding a quiet shady spot was a bit of a challenge. The main buffet seemed initially small scale for the size of the hotel but dishes were continually replaced and the layout worked well so it actually wasn't a problem. At breakfast smoothies, yogurts & fresh fruit, seeds etc available as well the usual cooked breakfast & pastries. We didn't try the other restaurants as their menus didn't appeal and the buffet was very good. Unfortunately on a couple of occasions we did see a cockroach in the restaurant. I used the gym every day. Although it didn't have any air con and there was a general insistence of leaving the door open on to a very noisy corridor I was very happy & impressed with the gym (doesn't happen often). There were plenty of free weights as well as the fixed machines. Couple of Xtrainers and running machines. Best part was I mostly had it to myself! As I said earlier the location is good, turn right from the back gate & into Irish bars and tourist tatt. Turn left for more traditional, better quality shops & bars. Wednesday & Saturday market was great with nice locally made souvenirs and gifts albeit very crowded by 10am. So I would definitely stay again as gym, food, staff & location were great. The room was slightly let down by the bathroom and the pool could benefit from some extra non fixed sun shades for those guests who can't sit out in full sun.

Excellent hotel with first class facilities. We are a party of three ladies and have been taking a week long September time holiday away from husbands and children for past 27 years together. So we know what we like! I booked a suite direct with the hotel and did flights separately. Excellent value and if you do it 6 months before get early discount. Taxi loads of them at airport. 30 mins and E55. Great. Suite was ready when we arrive at 12 noon which was fabulous. I had sent a email requesting if possible if this could happen. Refurbished floor 3 overlooking the pool. Spacious and very clean. There was a proper extra single bed in the lounge area and was very comfortable. So really 2 bedrooms. Loads of wardrobe space and great big balcony with loungers on as well as table and chairs. Room cleaned every day.
Outside Pool was just great. Loads of space and peaceful. And up to 10am if loungers not sat on towels removed. Which was good. It was 40 degrees when we were there so very hot! 2 bars close to pool with ice creams. One had food too. Wine and drinks not expensive. We did half board. Tip to take your own water bottle. The hotel has a great policy of keeping down plastic and supply drinking water free to all guests. And in the restaurants too. Just refill yourself from the taps in the bars. Never seen this before so was great. Food good. We always got a table in the outside area. Quite small. Need more space really. Masses of choice. Always something you like. Either get there on time opening or 1.5 hours later. For second sitting. Staff good very hard working. Wine E21 bottle. Which is good in my opinion for 4 star hotel. Meat and fish on the grill counter. Excellent and so fresh. I did this every night. Lots of choice. Tip if leaving early for airport they let you in the restaurant early before the other guests. Really lovely for continental and hot drinks etc.
Entertainment. We like live music and the bar by reception had this on every night about 8.30. Go early to get a seat! Good singers. They also had entertainment outside by the pool and coffee bar. Dancing singing. Very good to be honest. Beatles one night! Started at 9.30. Lasts about an hour. Back door. Excellent to take you 5 mins straight down to walkway promenade. Left to Marina. Or go right and down towards Port. Loads of little bars here straight on the left. Very cheap drinks and good live music. Close to hotel. We prob went out after dinner 5 nights out of 7. Music in outside bars finished around 12. I expect more music in other places but we headed back! Pool towels. Get a voucher on arrival at reception and you take this to the indoor pool man. Change daily if you want. Just remember to return. Indoor pool didn’t really use. Heated. Very quiet around this area. Spacious. During the day entertainment normal hotel darts, boules, wine tasting! Water polo. Not offensive. Quite nice to have something on. Kids kept occupied and loved it! Marina. Market on Wed and Sat. About a 10-15 walk down. Lots of shops by Marina very nice. Too busy for market day. Lots of bars and restaurants. Live music here too during day. Wish we had got here in the evening. Fuerteventura did a day trip prob hottest day we were there. Nice little boat trip few towns and small villages. Very good E50 from guy in travel hut outside Harp Bar. Picked up from hotel etc. Full day out. Take passport although never checked. Swimming. Beach outside back door and 5 mins walk down. Did this a number of times and had drinks or coffees at little bar on beach. Very relaxing. Water fabulous. Lighthouse. Get bus to lighthouse and walk back. Long walk. Very good. Supermarket. Back door opposite you. Got everything. Hardly used it. We probably had one of our best holidays so will be back! I have written this as I found lots of negative reviews when we were coming out. Nothing like People say. Tip. Also join fb hotel group it had loads of tips on it very helpful.
