We have just returned from a 12 night stay at H10 Lanzarote Princess staying all inclusive.
We had a lovely stay at the hotel, I thought the location was fantastic and I think this is the biggest positive about the hotel. You are literally minutes walk from the promenade and well located between what we called the ‘lively’ area and the ‘posh’ area.
One thing I hadn’t realised on booking was there is a festival on in Playa Blanca for a couple of weeks in July and with this a travelling fun fayre was located beside the hotel. On arrival and on entry into our room late in the evening, the fun fayre was in full swing. Extremely loud and our balcony overlooked this. We complained and were given another room over looking the pool thankfully. I was so grateful we were able to swap rooms as this would have ruined our holiday as it was so noisy! I think we were lucky to have moved rooms as I am not sure how likely this would have been as the hotel got busier at the end of our stay. However I was extremely grateful that the hotel were able to accommodate this.
Rooms We stayed in a one bedroom suite which was nice. Reasonable size with a lovely balcony. Bathroom was decent with shower over bath. Air con wasn’t great as it didn’t work in the bedroom but the one in the living area worked. Not the strongest I’ve had but it was ok.
Cleanliness I couldn’t fault the cleanliness of the hotel. The rooms were cleaned daily & always given fresh towels.
Pool area The pool area was amazing. The pool is fab and accessible which was a plus point. Little kids pool with slide was heated. The indoor heated pool was also lovely.
Sun beds At the start of July there were plenty of sunbeds available & you did not need to rush down in the morning. We left mid July & it was starting to get busier and you could see beds were filling up fast earlier. There is a no reserve bed policy in the mornings until 10am. Any towels & belongings left would be removed & bagged up and left by the lifeguard which I thought was good. Better signage for this would have been an idea as quite a few new guests were caught out by this.
Entertainment The daytime entertainment was decent enough. Not as good as other hotels I’ve stayed at but there were various activities on each day. We only watched a couple of the evening shows which were typical holiday shows eg magic show, singers, dancers etc.
Food Breakfast was the best meal by far. As for lunch and dinner - this was really disappointing. I am aware that all inclusive can be a hit or miss but for us the food was not great. It really let the hotel down. Childrens choices were awful. One evening nothing was labelled and we had no idea what it was. I am aware it is personal choice but I found the restaurant chaotic, loud, poor choices & poor quality. I also thought that the lack of ‘help yourself’ drink stations was a let down. We were only ever offered one drink per meal. We ended up eating out most evenings.
Staff The staff were all very helpful, welcoming, pleasant & hard working. I couldn’t fault them.
Overall It is a lovely hotel & situated in a fantastic location. Staff are warm & welcoming. The food & chaotic restaurant really let the hotel down (again personal choice)
I wouldn’t return but only due to the food situation. Everything else was great.
Room not clean on arrival. Bed legs broken. Food not hot. Some staff didn't speak English.Always check your bar bills.
I travelled here solo with my four year old, the rooms were great, the pool lovely and the entertainment fab, the little one LOVED the mini disco! The location of the hotel is also brilliant, close to the beach, bars, shops and restaurants.
Drinks in the hotel are good, bottled soft drinks and premium spirits, good cocktails too - try the lemon daiquiri but only available in the bar near reception.
Food was awful, very British, I don’t come on holiday to eat British food 😂 but there was something for the little one everyday, be careful with the grill as had totally raw chicken on a number of occasions.
The biggest complaint I have which made my life hard is the hotels complete disregard for single parents. One morning we put our towels, bags and pool toys on the sunbeds for us where we planned to stay for the day, the little one asked for the toilet, he cannot go alone and didn’t know where they were, I was away maybe three minutes tops and all our stuff had been removed, I mean I know that some people take the piss and reserve sunbeds all day, however I was gone three minutes and it was clear we were coming back! On the last day I asked about late check out, the lovely man on reception told me that would cost money but he could give me a courtesy room 3pm for one hour and understood I had the little one to get ready too, I came up promptly at 3pm to be told I only had the room for 30 minutes, 25 by the time you walk there, the reasoning it was for two people, no regard for the fact that you still need to prompt and help a four year old therefore these things take a while, the person on reception offered no support, understanding or solutions, so we showered, returned the key and I spent the next 20 minutes sat cross legged in the middle of reception drying my hair!
I would return but would want them to be more mindful!
Superb hotel. We have just returned from 1 week here (half board) and we all very much enjoyed our stay. 2 adults, 2 teens and a 5 year old. Our teenage daughters loved the modern style of the hotel, the beautiful palm trees ans cactus made for a lovely classy feel. We all appreciated the location, close to the beach and shops. Quality food is very important to us and the hotel did not disappoint. A wide selection that would surely suit all tastes. We particularly enjoyed the show cooking with fresh fish and steak/lamb/pork all cooked up in front of us. Cava at breakfast was a lovely treat! Theme food nights were fun too. Sangria and wine and paint classes were good fun. The animation team were excellent. Our 5 year old enjoyed the kids club and especially the mini disco! Thank you H10 we will be back!
✈️ HOTEL REVIEW: H10 Lanzarote Princess, Playa Blanca 🏝️
I just got back from a brilliant stay at this property, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! From the moment you walk into the bright, beautiful lobby, you can feel the quality and the warm welcome straight away.
If you are looking for a relaxing, uncrowded, and perfectly located getaway in Lanzarote, here is my honest takeaway from my time there:
🛏️ The Rooms: We stayed in a Superior Pool View room on the 3rd floor. Even though it overlooked the children’s pool, it was incredibly quiet and offered lovely sea views. It comes well-equipped with a fridge, a great bathroom, a hairdryer, and plenty of quality toiletries. Housekeeping was immaculate daily. Inside tip: We had a minor issue with a running toilet; I called reception and maintenance was up to fix it within minutes. Top-tier service!
🙌 The "Smart" Wristbands: The hotel is completely cashless. Your room key is a wristband that also gets scanned for any drinks or extras, which you just settle at the end of your stay. No worrying about carrying cards or cash to the pool!
🍽️ Food & Flexibility: We booked Half Board, but because we love exploring local restaurants for dinner, we took advantage of the hotel's flexibility and swapped our evening meals for lunch instead. Breakfast (even at peak time between 9–10 AM) and lunch always had a great, hot selection.
☀️ The Pool Area (And a strict insider tip!): The layout here is fantastic because it’s incredibly spacious—no feeling like you are climbing over people! There are no sunbeds directly on the poolside, which keeps the whole vibe relaxed. ⚠️ INSIDER WARNING: The hotel strictly enforces a "no reserving" policy. My husband and I popped out for 20 minutes before 10 AM to grab coffees, and came back to find our towels had been cleared by the staff! It keeps things fair for everyone, but definitely don't leave your beds unattended early in the morning! Bonus: The pool bar has a cold water station to refill your personal bottles all day.
📍 Location, Location, Location: This is the main reason we chose it. It sits perfectly in the middle of Playa Blanca, meaning you can walk easily in one direction to the town, or the other way to the stunning Marina. Plus, you are literally just across the road from the beautiful Playa Dorada beach.
🎭 Entertainment: Hosted outside for the summer months, the evening acts looked and sounded like great, high-quality talent from what we could see from our balcony.
⭐ My Verdict: Would I stay here again? 100%—though I’d personally choose Bed & Breakfast next time just because we love eating out in the evenings. It’s a peaceful, spacious, and genuinely lovely hotel that isn't rowdy at all. It is a fantastic choice for both couples and families alike and will definitely be recommending this hotel to my clients for their Playa Blanca holidays.
