This family-friendly apartment complex lies in the tourist district of Puerto del Carmen just 300 metres from Playa Matagorda. The resort centre is 3 km away, where guests will discover many shopping and entertainment venues. Links to the public transport network are to be found directly in front of the complex. This fabulous complex has many facilities, including a reception desk, a supermarket, a snack bar and an air-conditioned restaurant. The tastefully decorated, modern apartments each come with an en suite bathroom with a shower and modern amenities. They also come with a kitchenette, making it ideal for those who enjoy cooking their meals. In the well-kept outdoor complex guests will find a swimming pool and a poolside snack bar as well as sun loungers and parasols laid out ready for use. Guests may relax in the sauna or play a round of tennis.

Amazing visit to Costa Sal
Currently on day 5 of an amazing 7 day break. Second visit here, this time with my elderly mother and the hotel continues to provide 5 star service.
Check in was easy, even at 11pm. Shown to room 303 and the receptionist even helped with our cases. Safe was a very reasonable €3 a night. 1 bed bungalow was exceptionally clean and well equipped. Air conditioning in full working order. Plenty towels and housekeeping service is spot on.
Food - we stayed HB. You can upgrade once here and the price is excellent value for money. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful and there was never queues. Dinner was equally pleasant with good selections of local food as well as the staples that will suit kids. The sea food in particular was beautiful. The hotel also appeared to cater well for gluten free and other allergies.
Pool - spent most afternoons at main pool, didn’t struggle for a sunbed. Entertainment team were engaging but unobtrusive. Excellent pool bar with reasonable prices and friendly bar staff.
Supermarket - well stocked and reasonably priced for a hotel supermarket.
Out and about - easy to book taxi from reception if you fancy visiting other places. Otherwise, exiting through back gate and a few mins walk finds you on the sea front with a decent 40 min walk to Puerto Del Carmen or turn left for the Square full of souvenir shops and restaurants.
Overall, excellent value, excellent location, hard working staff and spotlessly clean. You will not be disappointed.

Very Good Family holiday
Great family holiday. Plenty of sun loungers always available. Plenty of space between people in the sun areas around the pool. Food was excellent in the restaurant for breakfast and takeaway pizza's for the kids. Big shout to the waiting staff in the restaurant - excellent Very close to airport €12 in a a 4 seater taxi €17 for five seater. Only €6 into Peurto Del Carmen via taxi well worth a spin for livelier nightlife. On the negative side the cleaning of the apartment was a let down. Our apartment had not been cleaned for 4 days, no clean towels, bed linen and no shampoo/shower gels replaced. Had to raise that with reception. And 3 cockroaches in the apartment in the space or 3 days, again I raised that with hotel reception. We might have just been unlucky with the apartment we got. Bar prices not displayed at poolside bar only happy hour prices , probably catches people out as you will pay approx €4.50 for local beers compared to pubs close by.
Lovely place
Just returned from our first stay in Puerto del Carmen,can't fault it or the illunion costa sal hotel. We took the 161 bus from the door of the airport £1.40 each which stops outside the hotel . We were given a large ground floor apartment which was clean and well equipped. The hotel grounds are really nice clean ,well kept and very quiet.Pool area is in very good condition with ample sunbeds,the pool bar is well stocked and serves nice food. We were b&b ,breakfast which was good but not exceptional ! We did not have dinner in the hotel as my wife is vegetarian,she had a look at what was on offer and decided no real options for her besides a salad ,cost of dinner is 27 Euro which will get you a meal in one the many restaurants a short walk from the hotel ,also drinks are cheaper in the town . If you book the hotel breakfast and dinner with flights as a package dinner would probably be around 15/20 euro .The town and coastline are very clean no ugly high-rise buildings and and not jammed with people with beaches along most of the 6 km of sea front. Next time we return to peurto del Carmen we will certainly consider this hotel as we like it's quiet location a short walk from the matagorda seafront bars shops and restaurants and 1.40 euro takes you anywhere in peurto del Carmen on the bus just outside every 30 minutes. I would agree with it's 4.6 reviews rating as we saw very little that could be improved.
An overall good resort
A very good holiday resort overall. We looked for a quieter resort and we were happy with our choice. The site was clean, friendly and all staff were polite, friendly and welcoming. Not far to walk to the end of the main Puerto del Carmen strip with shops, restaurants, bike hire etc and long beaches. The taxi rank is not far to walk and the prices are very reasonable. If you are unable to walk far you can ask at reception and they will ring a taxi for you to pick up right outside the main entrance. Bus stops are also located directly outside the main entrance however if you book any excursions the coaches pick up from the taxi rank, a 5 minute walk away. Pool area was cleaned thoroughly every day and apart from two days out of seven cleaners came to our apartment. For us the position of our apartment was perfect. A stones throw away from the pool, club and reception. We didn’t go to the clubhouse but we enjoyed the music sat outside on our patio. The entertainment did not go on late into the night, around 9ish seemed to be the finishing time, and while we were there we had live entertainment every other night, We went self catering and found the facilities very basic. The first night we made spaghetti bolognaise. No strainer, no lid for the saucepan we used so we had to use a plate, no cheese grater. Exactly one item of cutlery for each person, one glass, one plate etc. washing up was awkward as there is no draining board. We had to spread a tea towel over the cooker top to place things on. Also no oven gloves so getting things out of the oven was rather dangerous. If you are all inclusive it won’t affect you but it did make the stay a little less pleasing so that is the reason for losing a star. We would happily stay there again
