Honest opinion! Our 5th holiday this year and we usually go to Greece however for £999 all inclusive for a couple weeks thought we would give it a go.
Some of the reviews are very poor however do people really expect 5 star for a budget price?!
Location - 15 minutes walk to the start of the beach Playa Bastian and the square where there’s are several bars and restaurants.
Hotel is very dated, receptionists very helpful. one euro for a plastic eco cup is a great idea saves all the mess and tidying up empty cups at the end of each day. Pool bar - Beer was cold and each day there was a cocktail of the day and several slushes available from 10 am till 6pm then you had to go inside to the saloon bar which definitely needed the door painted from the outside to match the rest of the turquoise deco as it looked like a cellar door!
Snacks available at the pool bar various sandwiches and tortillas with cheese. Pool area was clean and both the pool toilets and the ones in reception and downstairs restaurant.
Sunbeds were chained up and access was from 10 am when the sunbed wars commenced. Couldn’t understand why they did this instead of just leaving them out all the time!
First impression of the restaurants was that is reminded me of a Butlins canteen from the 70’s it needs a few nice artificial plants on the tables and in the niches on the walls just to make it look more welcoming than a canteen.
The food in our opinion was very good especially for the price we paid. If you want filet steak then you have to pay filet steak prices. There was always something to have and I’m sure even the picky eater would find something.
Breakfast was bacon sausage beans mushrooms tomatoes fried egg scrambled eggs various cereals and fruit and yogurt as well as a very good selection of bread. Also a continental breakfast of meats and cheeses
Lunch offered different hot meals which were usually a meat and a fish dish with a hot pasta dish and vegetables as well as all different fresh salad items tomatoes cucumbers lettuce onions olives beetroot aswell as a selection of cold pasta a dishes and sauces also the selection of breads. Also desserts were different each day. There was also a selection of jelly sweets like fizzy snakes and flumps etc for the sweet tooth these were also available on the evening.
Evening meal similar to lunch but there was also a chef cooking something on the hot plate for example steak or a beef or chicken stir fry. On the evening the stir fry was available there was duck in sauce also a hot fried rice with vegetables and noodles aswell as prawn crackers and sweet chip and soy sauce. Again a selection of desserts and sweets.
There was a help yourself tap for beer and also white/red/rose wine aswell as various fruit juices. There were 2 very good coffee machines with the best espresso. We use to take a couple of double espressos up the pool in the paper cups.
There was a machine on the pool bar with cold water and you could re fill your bottles. Also in reception each day there was a large water butt with paper cups with lemon or lime or cucumber which was very nice touch.
The roooms! Very clean however dates like the rest of the hotel. Clean nice white towels and sheets. No air conditioning however there was a ceiling fan in the bedroom and we used to just leave the patio door and bedroom windows open and there was always a cool breeze blowing through. We requested a pool view room and it was nice cooler than the rooms on the front. Rooms have fridge microwave and electric ring which are not necessary for all inclusive apart from the fridge. We never stayed in the hotel for the evening entertainment as it’s not really our scene so would go down to the square on the evening. 15 mins walk ea h way or €4 in a taxi. If you want to have the most amazing holiday don’t come here. If you are on a budget and just want some sunshine to get away from it all and have free food and alcohol or a second or third cheapy holiday then I can definitely recommend this hotel.
the atmosphere was good and the entertainment was good, rooms were a bit average some work needs to be done to the rooms as in bathroom walls some cracks and the faucets on shower were splitting and making water come out, and the sofa bed in our room did have hair on it from someone beforehand which wasn’t the best, no air conditioning either only a ceiling fan which i didn’t think would be the case considering lanzarote is quite a hot place, value was good i think i got what i paid for and didn’t expect much more for £450.
Amazing time on 360 video thx to Adam animation food was good
My friend and I had a really enjoyable week at this hotel in June. We got an absolute bargain, and for what we paid, it was fantastic value for money. This isn't a 5-star hotel, but that's reflected in the price, so it's important to have realistic expectations.
One thing we really liked was that we never struggled to get a sunbed. There was no early morning rush to reserve them as they were locked until 10am, which made things much fairer for everyone. We also thought the €1 reusable cup deposit was a great idea as it helped keep the pool and bar areas much tidier.
The rooms are definitely tired and in need of updating. Our shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold with no in-between, and the bed sheets had a few holes in them. We also spotted a few small insects in the room during our stay. That said, the room itself appeared to be clean overall.
The food selection was fairly limited, but there was always something we could eat. The drinks were a highlight, with a different cocktail of the day every day. A special mention has to go to Dylan behind the bar, who was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. He happily made us delicious drinks that weren't even on the menu, and his great service really stood out.
The entertainment was a bit hit and miss, but that didn't bother us as we'd booked this holiday for a relaxing, chilled week rather than for the evening shows.
The location was decent. The town is within walking distance, although it's quite a long walk, while the beach is a little closer and easy enough to get to.
Overall, we had a lovely, relaxing holiday, met some great people, and found all the staff to be friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for luxury, this probably isn't the place for you, but if you can get a good deal and go with realistic expectations, it's great value for money.
Great time on 360 video with Adam and animation team thx
