10 days relaxation
An excellent budget hotel (3 star). To be fair its more a 4 star then 3. Rooms are more than adequate for a 10 days stay. There always cleaned regularly room (A144). They have smart tvs ( bring your firestick )and hairdryers in the bathrooms. The kitchens are well equipped if your self catering. We stayed all inclusive and the food was fantastic, ignore the people who mark it down there obviously very picky and are expecting 5 star.!!!!!!. It's a great place to stay everyone of the staff we met were great.!!!

The hotel is rated as a 3 star but is much better than some 4 Star and 4 star + we've stayed in, food excellent staff pleasant and helpful apparent clean and of a good standartd nice pool areas entertainment good
Altamar more pros than cons
Just returned from this hotel ,food was better than expected and always good quality,drinks standard AI low grade spirits one choice of beer but not an issue .Entertainment was poor and only lasts one hour but this may be standard for all complexes as never spent time in AI hotels before . Rooms are ok and ours was clean on arrival,English tv decent air conditioning along with a good size balcony and stunning views from ours which was block A ,I’m not sure if you can book a certain block though which would stop me booking again The only negative for the room was the cockroaches coming through the shower drain on a few occasions . Lifts are unpredictable to say the least ,stopping between floors along with arriving at desired floor for the doors not to open ,the lift on bock B is allegedly worse and some guests getting stuck in it a few times ,not great in 30 degrees. Pool areas are nice with plenty of beds although I do think there should be a pool bar at pool A save walking across to pool B . Restaurant and bar area are spotless with ample seating and again stunning views ,I’d recommend this hotel but I’d beat in mind the amount of steps if the lift is out of order
Cant Wait to Return
Just returned from a 7 night stay, we stayed here 2 years ago and to be honest this time round was far better. Small issue with room allocation on arrival, this was quicky rectified next morning by reception. Room was spotless, clean freah towels everyday. Food was delicious and plenty of it, restaurant was always clean the staff were great. No sunbed wars, plenty available and the pool area was cleaned throught the day. Cant comment on the entertainment as we headed out everynight after dinner. Dont know if we were just lucky but we never had any issues with the lift ( Block A) We asked for late checkout and it wasnt an issue, this let us enjoy our last day Thanks to all the staff at the Altamar for making our holiday one to remember.
So disappointed
So disappointed.... Returned back this week to the hotel after 20 years.
Have all inclusive. Now you dont get water to the room in the package , only one bottle upon arrive. The man in the reception said "you can buy in the supermarket " .
Further the beach towels; " if you want to change during you stay you have to pay 3 euro each time for each towel" .
Hello, I bought all inclusive??? What is happening
Dont book a room in section B below the restaurant and the pool. Why? You have to share the very slow elevator with everything who needs to be transported to the restaurant on level 4, gym on level 3 and all other employees . They fill the elevator! As a customer you counts as second hand according to reception. I talked to them and said how it is and they priority them before the guests. I said no guests no work, but she ignored me.......
Conclution, never this hotel again!
