This beach hotel is situated in the tourist centre, around 1.5 km from the local sandy beach, Playa del Inglés. Gran Canaria Airport is approximately 30 minutes by car. Within walking distance, guests will find a great shopping centre with entertainment opportunities. The nearest public transport stop is in the near vicinity. There is also a big range of bars, pubs and restaurants in the near surroundings. This holiday hotel complex, housed in a 9-storey main building and an 8-storey annexed block offering modern rooms, fully equipped to ensure a pleasant stay with maximum comfort. This is a great place to spend a few days with the family as it counts with two children's pools and an entertainment programme for adults and children.
Not a great hotel. Definitely not a 4 star. Poor entertainment and poor family pool with a floor that needed repairing
Stayed at Barcelo hotels before and this was probably the most basic. No real evening entertainment and on the one evening there was it was over by 9.45 and then the bar shut and they turned the lights off so everyone had to leave. Very odd. Stated there were 3 bars but only 2 open. And one shut very early. Daytime activities were average and only around one area. There was a free shuttles bus to 2 resorts. Food was good and rooms were clean. Some rooms have not been renovated and are not as on the website which is a bit misleading leading.
I have been coming to this hotel on and off for 20 years never had a problem until last week.
The hotel has been taken over and by god you can tell. Hygiene levels , food standards entertainment and overall feel for the place .. pool falling apart children hurting themselves cutting their toes on broken titles cockroaches everywhere.
Food .. the amount of people having to go to burger king to eat as food was awful. For a 4 star hotel this should not happen. So much so my partner was ill for 3 days vomitting.
Entertainment to be fair they did want they could with what they had. Day time activities where good .. night time awful .. however really enjoyed the white party on Friday night.
Hygiene I have never seen cockroaches at this hotel ever .. however they where everywhere. In the toilets in the hotel room around the pool and in the food hut.
Life guards . Don't get me started .. one rule for one and one rule for the other. One life guard no kids can't jump in next day yes they can . Next day no floaties next day you can. Make Ur mind up.
This hotel cost 6k for a family of 5 . To say I was disappointed is an understatement. The amount of families we spoke to who wouldn't return was vast.
This is NOT a 4 star hotel it's more a 2/3 and we will not be returning.
The 5 stars are been pushed by the entertainment team every time after activities and shows.
Great show at night especially Alejandro Castrillo. Lovely animation team
Great!
Visited as a family of 4 with 2 teens, hotel is great. Rooms are spacious and clean, air conditioning works well, make sure you keep the balcony door shut!
Food is absolutely fine, very standard all inclusive style food. Yes your plate might not always match into the perfect meal, but you can always get a plate of stuff together, plenty of variety.
All day buffet behind the pool bar is great for teens, burgers, fries, hot dogs etc available until 6pm.
Plenty of sunbeds , no issues as all.
Area around the hotel, and Playa del Ingles beach is quite shabby, but get a taxi (approx €10) to the Maspalomas lighthouse. Really lovely bars & restaurants there, a totally different world! Definitely a case of best hotel in the worst area, but once you’re in the hotel you really wouldn’t know!
