Gran Canaria Princess - Adults Only

We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a fantastic holiday. The hotel itself was very clean throughout, with spacious rooms and friendly staff who always seemed happy to help. We originally booked on a half-board basis, and our stay got off to a great start. The food was excellent, with plenty of choice at every meal. We had a very fussy eater in our group, but even they managed to find something they enjoyed every day, which says a lot about the variety on offer. Drinks were a little on the expensive side, and half-board guests were restricted to using just one pool bar. For convenience, we decided to upgrade to all-inclusive during our stay. While this made things easier and gave us access to self-service water, we did notice a few drawbacks. The all-inclusive drinks menu was more limited than just branded drink. Drinks were local brands only and weren't prepared in the same way as those available on the half-board or all-inclusive plus packages, which affected the taste. Evening drinks seemed better, but there were only three or four cocktails included, and not all cocktails were available even on the all-inclusive plus package. We also found the choice of mixers limited. As tonic drinkers, the only option available was Schweppes, which unfortunately isn't our preference, so we ended up changing our usual drink choice. We also opted for the Premium Package upgrade, which was definitely worth the extra money and something I would recommend to anyone considering staying here if you need early and late check in/out and like a massage. The entertainment was very good on most evenings, and the hotel's location is another big plus, with just a short walk to Yumbo Centre, making for a great night out. A special mention must go to the reception team, who were exceptional both before and during our stay. In particular, Luis, the Reception Manager, was incredibly helpful in arranging our upgrade before we arrived and made the whole process seamless. Despite a few areas that could be improved, we had a wonderful holiday and would definitely return. One final tip for all-inclusive guests: don't forget to tip the bar staff. We found the service was even better when we did, they work extremely hard and tips always help them stay friendly and professional. Overall: A great hotel with fantastic staff, excellent food, a superb location, and a Premium Package that's well worth considering. With a few tweaks to the all-inclusive offering, it would be close to perfect. ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)

Fantastic experience for our wedding anniversary. Management went out of the way to our stay special including wine & chocolates in our massive room. We were a bit concerned when we first heard that there was some renovation work going on in the hotel but after contacting them they reassured us we would not be disturbed or disrupted. Absolutely fantastic hotel & staff and I would highly recommend.
