Centrally located in the bustling holiday resort of Playa del Inglés, this bungalow complex surrounded by lush gardens with palm trees is an oasis of tranquillity but still close to everything the resort has to offer. Countless restaurants, bars and popular shopping centres are in the vicinity. The airport is about 20-minute car ride away. The complex features a wonderful outdoor pool with children's section, which is excellent for families. There is also a pool bar perfect to have a refreshing drink. Guests are able to have a delicious meal in the onsite restaurant surrounded by an agreeable atmosphere. The rooms are nicely decorated with wooden furniture and are equipped with all the essential amenities needed for a memorable stay.

Lovely family holiday
Stayed at the miraflor suites in one of the older bungalows. Can't fault the staff on reception, they extended our room a few hours after check out due to a family member with medical issues, check out is 11am and we were able to keep the room til 1pm, pick up to airport was 5pm, reception has a shower and luggage storage for those with later pick ups. (They had 22 people checking in so couldn't extend any longer than 1pm) Room cleaned everyday, clean towels everyday if we needed them, restaurant staff great, food was ok, great selection at breakfast, although no honey for the yoghurt. Snack bar is burgers, hotdogs and pizza, lunch and dinner selection was ok. Soft drinks, Amstel beer and wine on tap, didn't try the cocktails so can't comment on that. You can tell the spirits are either not very strong or watered down. 3 pools 1 of which is the kids pool, lots of sun loungers available, you have to be quick though to get a brolly. The pool area on one of the days was quite dirty, there were empty cups, fag buts and spilt drinks , but overall pool area was good. The only con I have is the older bungalows need a good update - there were cracks on the ceiling, the tiles in our shower were cracked, the seal around the shower screen was dirty, the lock on our bathroom door was broke, I'd recommend upgrading to one of the newer bungalows for anyone coming. If we come again we'll be booking the adults only area with swim up pool. Yumbo centre is a 7 min walk away, playa del ingles beach about a 10 mins walk away. The lucky lucky men don't really bother you too much, once you've said "no thank you" they walk off. I wouldn't class this as 4* due to the older bungalows being so dated, overall though, a good hotel. The grounds are lovely, some peahens and a few cats about. There are safes in the older bungalows, pay a deposit at reception. The sockets in the older bungalows are the 2 pin ones, not sure about the newer ones.
Not the best experience.
A recent stay at HL Miraflor left us extremely disappointed. The manager chose to ignore my disability and request to keep the room on for a late check out. I had previously emailed the hotel months prior to our stay to inform them of my life threatening diagnosis and all that went with it and the importance of why this was needed. I was told that this would of course be considered. However once there the hotel manager said the hotel was fully booked and that there was no possibility of this which I accepted. To then find out that there was at least 2 other rooms with no disabilities that were able to keep their rooms on and yes I spoke to them and they were given them no problem. Which seems highly unfair. I think the manager just does not support disabilities at his hotel. I find this absolutely unacceptable as he knew that he could have accommodated this but chose not too. I also asked if we could pay extra to stay in a swim up room instead and he said no as it would be a minimum of 3 nights despite us already with them for 9 days and this would be at a cost of 600 euros. Again I think it was he just didn’t want to help. In my opinion this is not a hotel that supports disability. On a more positive note the animation staff make this hotel they are so positive and full of energy. The majority of the bar staff are lovely, however there was a female and male bar staff preferring to serve those paying than those all inclusive and they got much nicer and chilled drinks. Whereas all inclusive got the warm thick cocktails, the jugs had clearly been out in the sun a lot of the day. The food - there was something for everyone. The chefs and waiters worked hard. The room was dirty, floor filthy and spilt drink on table in bed area and ants inside close to where the drink had spilt. I cleaned this up which helped but left a tiny area to see if the cleaners would clean it during our stay and they never did it remained dirty. The bedding and toilet was thankfully clean. But the shower area smelt like sewerage. The air con did not work for the first 5 days of our stay and we were blamed for this. Told we had it on winter mode. We asked numerous times for help with this until finally someone from maintenance sorted it for us. In our room there was no storage so we had to live out of our cases despite paying for a superior bungalow. Would we stay again absolutely not.
Just excellent!
We have just stayed at this hotel and wow we have been so impressed! We have travelled to many destinations in Spain and this hotel has the friendliest staff we have ever experienced. Every day we were greeted with smiles and we felt so welcome. The food was great, we are both quite fussy and we always found there were lots of choices and extremely tasty too. The animation team were also excellent, they tried to get people involved but weren’t pushy. They just genuinely wanted you to have an enjoyable holiday. We were also really impressed with our room. We booked with Jet 2 and they only had a standard bungalow available which I was a bit disappointed about as I was hoping to book a superior one. However, when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by our bungalow and we loved its location in a quiet corner of the resort. We would definitely return to this hotel if we were back in Gran Canaria.
A hidden gem
Read quite a few mixed reviews of this hotel but I have to say its been the best holiday we've been on so far.
Rooms - we stayed in a standard bungalow with a family of 3 and it was perfect size for us. Two large single beds (pushed together) in a separate bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room for the child. This was perfect as the AC unit was in the living room keeping the kid nice and cool during the heat. Full kitchen set up as well - hob, fridge, coffee machine so if you were half board you could easily cook a meal with pots/pans included.
The space outside the bungalow was a fantastic addition, having somewhere semi private to chill out.
Theres 3 pools here
Kids pool - very good with a slide and a massive splash bucket. Kid loved this pool
Middle pool - most activities with the animation team were held here and was big enough to fit everyone but can become abit crowded during peak times
Main pool - part of this pool was closed during the first few days of visit but didnt affect our stay whatsoever. All in all, If one pool was abit crowded just move into the next and back and forth. We love having the option of all 3!
Best thing about the entire holiday was there was NO SUNBED WARS!!! A very quiet resort with plenty of space for everyone. Every single day we found 3 beds with a parasol.
The food was good, abit repetitive as expected but every day there was always something to eat - fresh chicken or fish served. All was very nice
Drinks for AI were great, self serve taps for sodas / Amstel Beer / sangria/ red& white wine
This meant no queing at the bar for ages! We opted for Sangria mostly every day. When we did fancy a cocktail or spirit we just went to the bar and there was rarely a que (only after entertainment for the evening ended which was expected)
Animation team were amazing. They try to get you to join but aren't pushy in the slightest which we've found on other holidays. If you join theyre delighted but if youre not up for it theyre not offended which was so nice! Special shoutout to Paloma who made our daughter feel so welcome at Kids Club! Ady and Nacho were so much fun as well!
Entertainment was fab, some nights was live singing or dancing but other nights was the World Cup matches but the team gave out flags and face paints to help everyone enjoy.
All in all, a fab holiday with great staff, decent food and unreal vibes!

2 adults staying in bungalow
We stayed in a Superior Bungalow, which was excellent. It was very spacious, located right next to the two pools, and cleaned daily to an acceptable standard. The only downside was that the room wasn't cleaned on the first full day after arrival. The bar was amazing. It felt like a normal bar rather than the long queues you often get at all-inclusive hotels. The bar staff were very friendly and worked incredibly hard. The dining hall is quite small, and while the food was okay, there wasn't a huge variety to choose from. That said, there was always something to eat. The entertainment team were fantastic. They were friendly, enthusiastic, and really tried to get everyone involved. If you join in, it's great fun! The Jumbo Centre is about a 10-minute walk away, and the beach is around 25 minutes on foot. Alternatively, a taxi to the beach costs only around €4. You can ask the hotel to call one, or walk about five minutes to the taxi rank outside the Don Miguel Hotel. Sunbeds were always available during our stay. We usually went to the pool after 9am and still had plenty to choose from, even though only one pool was open. Overall, we had a fantastic holiday and left as a very happy couple. The hotel guests were roughly a 50/50 mix of English and German visitors, which created a nice atmosphere.
