FABULOUS CANARIAN HOTEL AT ITS BEST !
Just returned from a lovely 2 weeks at this wonderful hotel. The staff were all amazing, initially Ana @ reception when we arrived, her happy face made us so welcome!! My husband has Coeliac & in the dining room, Serena went over & above looking after us & the chef Juan Luis was an absolute wonder catering for his desserts, couldn’t do enough for us!! It is a perfectly located hotel, 7-10 min walk into Puerto Mogan, a calm stunning harbour town, would thoroughly recommend a stay here!

Would happily return
We stayed for a week and it was wonderful. The location is good, perhaps a 40 min drive along the motorway from the airport but is mostly straight without winding mountain roads. We had a private transfer which is always money well spent for this distance I think. The hotel grounds cover a long area which is perhaps something to consider when choosing a room - we stayed in a junior suite which was a good 250-350m from reception and the main restaurant - there are ramps and it's a only gentle incline so if you're fit and able it will not trouble you in the slightest but if that concerns you or you have little ones that would struggle then ensure you ask to stay around the main building. We found it very quiet and relaxing. The grounds are wonderful with the many plants making any walk very pleasant - even after a week we were still noticing new things and there was plenty we didn't see. The main pool and surroundings are fabulous - it's not just a mass of sunbeds everywhere - the grounds are laid out so that there are little 'areas' that break up the space and it makes it feel very private and secluded considering how much space there is. We never had any issues getting sunbeds and towels. There is a whole other pool we didn't even see - I believe one is a 'quieter' one and the other perhaps more 'family' - despite being firmly in the 'family' camp ourselves we certainly didn't have issues with the noise at our pool and there were plenty of people without young children happily using it too. The small children's pool is perfect for the 3-5 years as it's a constant 50cm depth, has an unobstructed view, somewhat secluded from other areas and has showers and toilets close by. The local town (a ten min walk) has some lovely restaurants although do your research as some do have some mixed reviews as you might expect in a tourist heavy area. It feels very safe to wander. We didn't 'do' the beach although did take the glass bottom ferry along the coast 35min to Puerto Rico - we didn't see much of Puerto Rico but the beach is nice and sandy and very calm as it is very sheltered similar to Mogan. Food at the buffet was varied and of a good standard. One thing to note is that dinner is done in two sittings and you will have the same table throughout - so make sure you are happy with your table and the time you choose. The sittings aren't super long so if you have kids and don't arrive at the start time you might feel rushed.

A Very Pleasant Stay
A very nice hotel, superbly located in a lovely relaxing location. The hotel is immaculate. Rooms albeit a little tired are perfectly functional. The staff are excellent and always happy to help with a smile. We stayed B&B which suited us as breakfast was good and the hotel a short, safe walk from the port which had an abundance of quality restaurants and bars.
The hotel provided two pools which were immaculate and had plenty of beds which is refreshing as nobody felt the need ‘reserve’. We chose the family pool on a daily basis as the ‘adult’ pool was politely ‘lifeless’.
My only couple of minor constructive criticism is that there is a distinct absence of comfortable seating around the pool bars which prevented us from our usual afternoon ‘sundowner’ as the chairs were hard and upright. Maybe some cushioned rattan style settees would easily resolve this. My other minor gripe was the lack of bottled water in the room. On arrival you get 2 x 500ml complimentary bottles of water. After that you need to provide your own which means a trip to the local supermarket. Alternatively you can purchase from the pool bar but the price is extortionate. My final issue was having to pay for your room safe. Not something I have experienced before.
These minor points did not detract from a pleasant stay and we certainly would consider a return visit.

Relaxing .
I the hotel has quiet areas which is nice due to a lot of families if you are unsteady on your feet the showers are over the bath this I did not like the hotel is spotless clean and staff are lovely.The evening meal was always cold I even told them one night over the soup we ate out a few times .if I did return I would stay bed and breakfast due to cold food the gardens are beautiful it was also very good at being strict on no putting towels on sunbeds if you did you where left a note .

Average stay
Positives - Hotel grounds were very nice and well maintained. The rooms were dated but clean, cleaner came in everyday which was good. The staff were very nice. Hotel was in a good location close to all the bars and restaurants.
Negatives - We ate breakfast every morning in the blue building which is open until 11. We went most days about 0945 and by that time there was hardly any continental breakfast left. The “hot food” was always cold. There was also inconsistency with the hot drinks. A couple of the mornings we were offered tea or coffee, other mornings the staff were elsewhere and not offering this. The quality of food was poor in comparison to other hotels we have stayed in.
There was loads of cats at the hotel which made parts smell of cat urine.
