Avoid not a good choice!
Very average barely a 3 star. WIFI is awful, food average, unable to get a proper coffee all holiday given power with water, nowhere other than 1 loud bar to sit and have a drink in the evening. The hotel charge on top of the amount paid for everything. You are given 1 bottle of water when you arrive and nowhere in the hotel can you refill it as it doesn't fit under the water taps. The pool area is nice but after 10.30 no loungers in the shade available. The maintenance is very poor we had 3 rooms electrical sockets hanging off in each room, pipes in bathroom not attached to the wall. Broken loungers, lifts kept breaking, great location of hotel though. Maspolomas Golf club is great down the road.

Alright, but nothing to shout about.
For a 4 star all inclusive hotel, it was very good. The good points: The whole hotel is very clean and the staff work very hard to keep it pristine. The reception staff were lovely, friendly and professional. Some of the themed nights in the main restaurant were very good (especially the Mexican). Plenty of sun beds available and lots of different sections to the pool to pick from. The adults only area was great. Extra charge for the larger sun beds, but worth it. The Barman at the adults only pool was amazing. Always polite, offered to bring over drinks and remembered what you liked. Bad points - we booked a room for 3 (me, husband and 16 year old son) and on arrival said we didn’t ask for a double bed, so they wanted to put us in a twin room (two single beds and a sofa bed). We upgraded to a junior suite and had to pay an additional £150 just to get a double bed. Room was large and clean. The air conditioning was noisy and didn’t really work, so the room was hot. We were given pool towels and you can only change them between 11-12:00, so needed to be around for that. You can’t get in the pool until 10am - strictly!!
We ungraded our wristbands to gold bands which meant we could have more of a selection of drinks as we don’t like the local offerings. We were still questioned constantly about why we wanted branded drinks when the free ones we could help ourselves. Made us feel awkward for ordering what we paid for!
Lastly….the bar staff in the main hotel are abrupt and rude. Dare we ask for an Iced coffee and we got our heads bitten off!
Was it a good holiday - yes. Would we go back - never.

Fabulous Hotel
We went as a family of 5, the youngest being 15years old and we all thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. We cannot understand the bad reviews as we had very little to complain about POOL: huge main pool with many beds and no need to rush. Other smaller pools for younger kids and a adults only pool (didn't use). You cannot leave your towels unattended before 10am and they will be removed if left for a long period. The actually pool does not open until 10am and people who went in were reminded it is closed if before then (this I did not agree with as people like early swims but guess no lifeguard on duty so for safety) ROOMS: Housekeeping excellent. Rooms spotless and decor very nice. Rooms cleaned daily and towels often replaced. There is air con but it is not the most powerful but was enough for us. RESTAURANTS / FOOD: The main restaurant is large and has an outside eating area. We did not have to queue ever but we we early enough rather than waiting for the busiest times. The food in the main restaurant was varied daily and plenty to choose from. There were themes nights such as seafood night, Canadian night, Mexican night but always plenty of pizza, pasta and salads on offer. There is also an Italian restaurant and an Asian restaurant, both require reservations and both buffet but the food was excellent in both. There are 2 snack bars, one serves 'healthy' snacks and the other 'less healthy' although both offer a nice selections. BARS: There are an abundance of bars that offer self service of beer, wine, prosecco, soft drinks, cocktails and service of spirits and other options. ENTERTAINMENT: During the day there are many activities on offer. The evening entertainment is out only negative as caters nicely for children but there is very little for adults. There are some singers / chilled music on one bar but the main is poor. LOCATION: There are some shops on sight and a supermarket around the corner. BEACH: The nearest beach is Maspalomas and it is a nice 15/20minute walk along a promenade. Taxis can be ordered by reception and arrive very quickly and are cheap We would all definitely visit again, do not worry about the bad reviews, some people are clearly too picky or too fussy!!

Compliment for the bar man
We stayed in the Tabaiba princess hotel. It was an unreal hotel and the weather was amazing every day. All the staff were so nice but we wanted to write a review to thank the bar man in the adults pool (Alejandro) specifically because he was always so friendly, always had a smile on his face and he remembered our drink order everyday! Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Book somewhere else.
Pros… Nice pool facility. No sun bed wars. Hotel mostly clean in main areas.
Cons… Bad location not walking distance to any nice restaurants All inclusive plus is not worth it. Cleaners don’t clean rooms good. Bed sheets don’t stay on the actual blanket. Cleaner doesn’t replenish toilet roll. Clean towels for shower are old and worn. Air con is non existent. Food is terrible especially breakfast a lunch. Food ques are crazy long. Hotel is overcrowded. Most staff are rude. Sometimes hotel cancels mini disco.
