Dunas Maspalomas Resort

This resort is well-located so that it is far enough away from the full-on Playa del Ingles but close enough to get free shuttle buses, public service buses or taxis to anywhere necessary. There was a lovely welcoming feel to the resort, with a bottle of fizz and chocolates waiting for us when we arrived, and an extra delivery of chocolates on my birthday, neither of which were requested, and although the majority of guests appeared to be French, the animation team made an effort to include other nationalities as well. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We stayed in a one-bedroom bungalow, which was great! There was air con, a self-contained private outdoor area for drying clothes/towels, it was clean, modern decoration, and the kitchen area had a full-size fridge, with freezer box. The safe held a full-size laptop, along with our other valuables. The living area had a comfortable sofa-bed (we only used it as a sofa), a tv, and its own router so the wifi was the best we have experienced on a holiday. On the flip side, there was no kettle in the kitchen and as the windows are single-glazed, we could hear the entertainment and people walking past a little more than we would have liked. There were plenty of sunbeds and parasols around the pools, with no early-morning reservations, with the pools and surrounding areas kept clean and tidy. The food was delicious, with lots of choice and good long opening times for each meal, with the snack bar also open throughout the day. This served slushies which went down very well! The main entertainment bar had plenty of seating, served delicious alcoholic, and non-alcoholic, mojitos, and had enertainment every night to cater to all ages and nationalities. The whole resort was clean, well tended to, and our cleaner was so lovely. The option of late check-out was very welcome given our flight time. All in all, a great resort, great location, great bungalows and great staff.

As a family of 14 persons (6 kids, 8 adults) we really enjoyed our stay at Maspalomas Resort by Dunas. It was simply perfect. First of all, the kids loved the swimming pool and playing ground and for us it was very handy that we could easily keep an eye on them. The food was an amazing experience for them (and us, too). We were really surprised by the quality and variety of the breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff was very helpful (thank you again Jorge!) in finding a suitable place for us in the restaurant. We used 4 bungalows, very conveniently located and close to each other. We did some trips, visited the beaches and had a great family experience. Maybe one minor minus: sometimes the noise coming from the animation centre in the evening was a little bit annoying. But this didn't spoil the fun we experienced. Thank you very much in facilitating this fantastic unique experience we had celebrating our 50 year wedding anniversary!

Location was amazing, really quiet. Lovely 20min walk to the beach. Amazing staff, although this is mainly catered to the French, Belgium markets, the staff were really friendly and tried to get us all involved. The bungalows were amazingly spacious and I would defo come again. Perfect for visiting Playa Del Ingles for the yumbo centre and Aqualand
