Iberostar Palace Fuerteventura

Children? It's a very nice hotel but I thought it was adults only. A lot of children are staying.

My sister and I had a 4 night stay that this hotel. First and last impressions are 10/10

We stayed in the swim up room, which we expected to be quieter around the pool Area but it was busy as it’s open to all guests. Not that it bothered us as much. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, very clean and walk in showers.

Talking of which, There are showers available if you have a late flight back, and a late checkout is not available.

Food choices are superb. The quality of the food is excellent.
Drinks are of great choice. Note that branded drinks are at a surcharge. The all inclusive however is well worth going for.

Evening entertainment is also very good - not the regular shows but live bands, singers or dj. Everyone is involved and dancing which is rare to see at hotels in the evening.

Ideally it should be an adults only as all facilities are high end - if your kids need constant entertainment then this isn’t for you. We noticed the children were occupied without gadgets and more with board games which is so so rare to see these days. Very impressed with that part, the hotel encourages digital detox and has random boxes that you pick and whatever game it enfolds is what you have.

Check-in desk could have been more helpful as we weren’t told that sun beds needed to be pre booked via their app - this service is a great move as it doesn’t allow sunbed wars! Truly an amazing thing they have done.

Room key is within a bracelet so you’ll never forget the key! Which is super cool too!

Truly o can not fault this hotel and its location. Not far from The shops and beach is a min down some Steps

Only one suggestion if I may, the mar bar should Remain open for those who wish to have a drink away from the entertainment.

Over all, the better Iberostar I have stayed at and let me tell you, o have stayed at plenty!

Would you be happy arriving at the Iberostar Selection Fuerteventura Palace, walking onto your balcony and being faced with this view after paying for a Star Prestige Double Room with Sea View?

This was our experience during our stay from 7 to 14 July 2026.

Look at the photographs and judge for yourself. Mature palm trees dominate the entire view, with the sea barely visible through the foliage. You can see the sky, the trees, the garden area and part road, but where is the sea view we paid extra for?

We did not book a garden view. We specifically booked a Star Prestige room with a sea view, and this was the view from our balcony.

We reported the problem to reception within two hours of arrival and asked to change rooms. We were told the hotel was fully booked, leaving us with little choice but to accept this view for the duration of our holiday.

I appreciate that palm trees are part of the surroundings in Fuerteventura, but surely there is a difference between having palm trees in your view and having them obstruct virtually the entire sea view.

The question is simple: if you paid a premium for a Star Prestige sea-view room, would you be satisfied walking onto your balcony and finding this in front of you?

I would like to hear what other guests think, because I find it difficult to understand how this can reasonably meet the expectation of a sea-view room.

If you are considering booking this hotel, I would strongly recommend asking specifically about the position of your room and the view from the balcony before paying extra for sea view.

For us, this was a significant disappointment and a poor start to what should have been a relaxing holiday.
