- Blue Sea Jandia Luz

This family-friendly apartment complex is situated in the lovely fishing village of Morro Jable on the south coast of the popular holiday island of Fuerteventura. It features a pool, children's pool, snack bar, lobby bar and restaurant. The wonderful sandy beach is just a few minutes away; the harbour where there are ferry connections to the neighbouring island of Tenerife can be reached within a short stroll.
Location was ok. Not much to do when you leave the hotel. The sea front shops and some restaurants but not many to choose from. Only good thing was close to beach. Food at hotel was terrible. Cold, not much choice, what was cooked for lunch came out for dinner in the evening. The rooms are NOT air conditioned. When I booked this hotel it clearly said on their website air con. We arrived to fans. Wasn't told at check in that you need to purchase the remote controls for the fans. Didn't have a safe in the room. No hair dryer. All was stated on their website. Many complained about the air con. Now I can see this has been amended on their website. The pool life guard wouldn't let anyone move beds or chairs. No games or fun in the pool, no inflatables allowed. Not a fun hotel at all. I would say meeting some people on our short stay made the holiday enjoyable.
I was would say don't book if you want the below... *Not for kids. *Not for fun *No choice in food, it's cold and worse than hospital food. *No air con *Not very secure hotel. Gates left open and doors don't lock properly to your rooms.
I am currently staying at Bluesea Jandia and this has been one of the most disappointing family holidays we’ve ever had.
From day one, we had serious safety concerns. The door to our room could not be locked from the inside, meaning our young children could potentially open it themselves. We reported this multiple times and were repeatedly given different information by staff.
The only reason we were eventually moved rooms was because the original room door then stopped locking from the outside altogether. Despite raising our concerns several times, no action was taken until the problem became even more serious. Unfortunately, even after being moved, we still have the same issue with not being able to lock the door from the inside.
To make matters worse, there is a side gate that has been left open during our stay, meaning anyone can walk straight into the hotel grounds. As parents of young children, this has made us feel extremely unsafe and uncomfortable.
The communication from the hotel has been shocking. We have spent a large part of our holiday chasing staff for answers instead of enjoying our time away. There has been little urgency, no proper apology and no confidence that guest safety is being taken seriously.
The food is awful, repetitive and there is very little choice for children. If you have young or fussy eaters, be prepared to struggle.
The entertainment is practically non-existent. There is nothing going on throughout the day, very little happening at night and absolutely no atmosphere or buzz around the place. The hotel feels lifeless.
The pool rules are also over the top. The lifeguard seems more interested in telling children what they can’t do rather than helping them enjoy themselves. No inflatables, no games and very little fun around the pool. It completely takes away from the family holiday atmosphere and is a real disappointment for children.
To top it all off, I have spent part of this holiday being unwell with sickness and diarrhoea, which has made the experience even worse.
This is not the family holiday we booked or expected. Between the safety concerns, poor communication, poor food, lack of entertainment and being unwell, this holiday has been completely overshadowed by problems.
At this point, we genuinely cannot wait to go home. Sadly, based on our experience, I would not recommend Bluesea Jandia, especially for families with young children.
After being closed for several months for refurbishment, this ideally located hotel reopened. Having been here before we noticed the room kitchens had been removed, new wood panel floors instead of tiles, plus new furniture throughout, new lighting with circulation fans were installed in the living room and bedroom. A nice touch was the main door had been replaced with new soft close ones, reducing the chances of your neighbours waking you when they return from a night out.
The pool had a few tile issues and have all been repaired. The old lounge bar in the dining room has been removed allowing space for a few more tables. Even reception has a few small but effective changes.
A few details such as dried paint / plaster drips and TV channel configuration still need to be addressed but a noticeable improvement throughout.
With several repeat customers already on just their reopening week, the management must be doing something right.
Spent 10 nights here late Dec/early Jan for my 50th. Sadly I couldn’t recommend this hotel. The location is good and the beach across the road is stunning. However the all inclusive was just not good enough. The food was generally very disappointing and the rules around cups at the pool bar are ridiculous. Forget your cup and it’s a flat no from some bar tenders so it’s a hike back to your room to get the cup you forgot! The walk of shame! Also at the pool bar there’s a no smoking area and a smoking area but the rude Germans just ripped the no smoking stickers off the tables in the non smoking area and just lit up! The barman did tell one man to move but it was inconsistent. The food on NYE was exceptional so it really is a shame that they couldn’t try better the rest of the time.
Enjoyed our stay, close to the beach. Only downside is no indoor area to sit at night, just bar outside. Staff lovely. Loved feeding the chipmunks.
