TUI Magic Life Fuerteventura

My husband and I (mid 40s) have been coming here to the Private Lodge every year since 2023. We absolutely love it and really truly appreciate the wonderful food, the friendly and efficient staff and housekeeping team, the beautiful location and pools. It really is perfect. However this year we were gutted to see the changes made to the facilities in the private lodge. I can fully understand placing the alcohol behind the bar but as a compromise please can we restore self service access for all soft drinks , like the other areas have? This restriction really took the shine off of things for me, and we didn’t spend any time at the private lodge pool as a result, preferring the nature area instead. Also we are very fitness oriented and consider the hotel a fitness type hotel but the gym equipment desperately needs a service. Twice the settings gave way mid lift (bench and leg ext machine) , and the cable is broken on the seated curl. Some ongoing maintenance/investment on the equipment would be really appreciated. Apart from that I just want to stress that it’s such a wonderful hotel, there are thousands that we could go to, and we used to, but we never regret coming back here every year for our relaxing break and we always go home feeling rested, well fed and totally happy! Cons Would have like to have a vegetarian section, not just a salad bar. Needed more vegetarian protein dishes. Fruit juice was either one watered down fresh juice or matching concentrate No presecco for meals, only wine, beer, soft drinks No mocha from the machine Labelling, could have been better. There was a label for vegetarian although most options did not show it. Dessert labels were 'various desserts' so not sure what had geletin in them

Entertainment Pros Great app which showed what was on and where. Lovely variety of entertainment Entertainment team were all so friendly, especially Joanna. Evening entertainment had good shows in a theatre or the outside bar. 4 pool tables Table tennis table Dart board

Beach There is an accessible beach from the hotel but it is down a lot of stairs, so I didn't go. At high tide the beach is gone.

Location 1.5 hours away from hotel, but TUI makes this the first stop. Supermarket is 15 mins walk away - 3 times cheaper than the hotel shop at times.

This was our first family holiday abroad, and overall we had a very enjoyable stay at TUI Magic Life Fuerteventura. We arrived late after a long journey and were warmly welcomed, with staff encouraging us to get food and drinks before check-in, which was much appreciated. Throughout the holiday, staff were friendly, hardworking, and efficient—particularly in the main restaurant, where service was excellent. A special mention also goes to Mateo in housekeeping (Block 11), who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. I recommend a move to a more guest facing role with his clear dedication to guest satisfaction and I even said this to Eduardo the manager of the resort.

Our room was clean and in a great location near the activity pool. While it had everything we needed, the bed (two singles pushed together) wasn’t the most comfortable, and the air conditioning was quite noisy on full power. We also had a minor issue with the safe, but this was resolved quickly once followed up with reception. The food was good overall, with a decent variety, although queues could build up at peak times—especially for popular items like pizza. Desserts were a bit repetitive. One area that could definitely be improved is catering for dietary requirements: my wife is coeliac and vegan, and this wasn’t addressed proactively. It would be helpful if the hotel asked about allergies or intolerances at check-in. The main downside for us was the “sunbed wars,” with guests reserving beds very early in the morning and no clear enforcement from staff. Poolside maintenance also needs some attention, as there were a few broken tiles. That said, there were plenty of positives—the hotel had a great atmosphere, and we really enjoyed the extra touches such as welcome drinks at dinner, pool parties, and evening stalls. The restaurant team in particular stood out for their organisation and friendliness. Overall, we had a great first experience abroad as a family and would happily return. With some improvements around sunbed management and dietary options, this hotel could be even better.
