Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The hotel was lovely, and the room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. We were a little confused that our room only had a patio door rather than a traditional front door, but it wasn’t a major issue. The hotel was also very quiet, which made for a relaxing stay.
The food was the biggest disappointment. The selection was very limited, and we ended up eating chips most days. We also found pastries with mould on them and bread that was rock hard, which was quite off-putting.
The location wasn’t quite as described and felt very limited. Unless you’re happy spending your time at the beach or the nearby mini market, there’s not much else within walking distance. We’d recommend hiring a car for at least a day, as it’s reasonably priced (around €55) and makes it much easier to explore the surrounding area.
The staff were friendly and always polite, but communication was difficult as there was a significant language barrier. We often had to point to what we needed rather than explain it.
Overall, the hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and peaceful, but the food, location, and communication made the experience less enjoyable than we had hoped.
I was a bit wary of coming as had read the reviews here after I had booked. However, I can honestly say it’s been the most relaxing all inclusive experience I have ever had. We came with another couple and we both had the suites. They were both spotlessly clean, with fridge, kettle, hairdryer, two TV’s and toiletries even toothbrushes! The bed was comfortable and the sofa cosy. Air conditioning in both the bedroom and lounge areas which was very welcome. The shower is amazing and plenty of hot water. The pool area was again spotlessly clean, with a lifeguard on duty and a bar which opened until 6.30pm. Always able to get sunbeds easily as no towels there at silly I click to reserve them! We however preferred to lay in the garden at the back of our suites ( adult only terrace ), was do peaceful and tranquil with shade available under the tree when needed to escape from the sun. The mist shower was a definite winner too. As documented on the websites there is NO entertainment here. Various reviews mention this negatively but it’s hardly the hotels fault if people don’t read the description properly and then complain. This was the main reason we booked this hotel, we have had our years of kids clubs and circuit singers! If you have young children then I wouldn’t recommend a stay here as there is nothing for them to do - as advertised there is no entertainment! Don’t book and then moan about this as you should read the info before you book! Food wise, again lots of negative comments on here. As it’s only a small hotel, there won’t be a massive selection like with a 400 bed hotel. However, there was a good variety of hot and cold dishes and themed evenings too. All very flavourful. The only negative thing I could say is sometimes the meat was a little overcooked for my liking but that’s my personal preference. Plenty of choice for vegetarians and vegans too. Desserts were mainly mousses, cakes and ice cream which catered for our sweet tooth’s perfectly! As there is no separate bar, the dining area is where you spend the evenings at the bar. The staff were very friendly and attentive and extremely hard working. Very polite and always with a smile on their faces. That is the only negative thing really not having a separate lounge/bar area, especially on check out day if you have a late pick up. It’s only a short 10 minute walk to shops, bars and restaurants if you wanted to venture out and there is a small mini mart across the road for anything you have forgotten to bring.
In summary, a fabulous friendly little hotel which is spotlessly clean with friendly staff. I would definitely come back here again and recommend to anyone who wants a fly and flop!
Seriously honest review...I have travelled alot in very bad hotels to 5 stars hotels.. Overall Taimar is a lovely small hotel very clean great staff 👍 one exception the older man on reception. My partner and myself booked a premium suite for 11 nights the suite was very clean but we was not happy with the outside area no parasols and no curtains which is on there website...also at the pool bar the covered area has no cover which also was advertised on all holiday platforms...But for someone who likes quiet and piece the hotel is good just the website needs updating fron 2020 ...I understand its hard to keep a hotel going at mo but the little things need to be right it was a 4 star hotel in 2020 but at mo 3star + ..the staff are amazing and the black cat made my holiday she slept on my sunbed she's a little fat with all the treats ..
Very small (100 rooms) and quiet hotel. We stayed in premium suite so had access to our own (adult only) area with our own sunbeds and patio table and chairs. The room was big and spacious which had patio doors leading out on to individual patio area. A safe was available in room for €3.50 per day plus a €50 deposit (didn't get this). Towels for loungers were available for free. (Just needed to sign a waiver saying you would pay €20 if you lost or damaged them). Bedding changed every 3 days and bathroom towels were changed daily if needed. Shower in room was amazing. The pool area was always quiet and sunbeds were always available anytime of day. The area was quiet. There was a small mini market selling everyday essentials, directly opposite the hotel entrance. Just around the corner (2 minute walk) was a small tapas style bar and a shop which was like the tardis. Looked tiny from the outside but went back for miles. If you couldn't find what you wanted in here then it probably doesn't exist. It was around 15 minutes walk to the beach or 3 minutes in a taxi for around €5. A little further along were some decent bars, shopping centre and restaurants for around €8 in a taxi. The buffet style food was small but always a few decent options. My wife is vegetarian and had plenty of salad, vegetables and cheese to choose from at breakfast, lunch and dinner. My daughter (17) is a VERY fussy eater, she found food she liked at EVERY mealtime apart from an evening meal one night. She had chips and soup that night. Plus of course desserts which stayed the same every night. Little tubs of ice cream were available all day from the pool bar during opening hours or the restaurant during food times. Breakfast was 07:30-10:00, lunch 13:00-15:00 and evening meal was 19:00-21:30. Food was served in the main restaurant area which was open plan so was very windy (Fuerteventura is a very windy island). This was a godsend during the hot day, however a jacket/jumper was needed in the evening. As there is no entertainment in the hotel at all, the restaurant doubles up as the all inclusive bar of an evening to play cards and socialise, or drinks can be taken to rooms in plastic glasses if you prefer. The swimming pool was open from 10:00-18:00 every day and the pool bar opened 10:30-18:30 for all inclusive drinks. One gripe about the food was that no snacks were available during the day in the pool bar, apart from the pastries leftover from breakfast. So not the usual burgers, chips or pizza etc. if you are used to all inclusive holidays. The whole resort, was kept spotlessly clean. I'll leave the best til last. The staff. Every single one of them was amazing. Always polite, hard working, helpful and courteous.
