It is an ideal place for unforgettable family holidays as it features a pool, children's pool, playground, kid's club, entertainment for adults and children, restaurant, several bars as well as various sports facilities. The beautiful sandy beach can be reached within a short stroll, there is a shuttle bus to the beach.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic.
This hotel is absolutely fantastic.
At first, when you’re making your way to your room after checking in, the hotel can feel like a real maze. However, after just a few hours, you quickly get used to the layout and finding your way around is no problem at all. The hotel is also much bigger than it looks in photos or YouTube videos – it really is huge!
The swimming pool is excellent and the water is heated. I checked the temperature several times and it was consistently around 28°C.
The food is absolutely not repetitive. I honestly have no idea what people who say that are talking about. Of course, some dishes appear more than once across different meals, but that’s the case in practically every hotel. There is still plenty of variety, and the food itself is delicious.
There is also a snack bar by the pool serving drinks and snacks such as pizza, fries, burgers, hot dogs, fruit and cakes.
The staff are incredibly friendly without exception. The rooms are cleaned every day, and the housekeeping staff are excellent as well.
There is a shop just about a two-minute walk from the hotel where you can buy all the essentials, including food, toiletries and household items, alcohol and cigarettes.
We have been to Spain many times, but Drago Park is definitely the best hotel choice we could have made. We had a fantastic stay and would happily come back!
Another big plus for us is that there are no noisy kids’ parties late into the evening like you often get at resorts in Egypt or Turkey, and no endless silly songs like “Chocolate”, “Baby Shark” or “Cocodrilo”. There is a foam party one evening a week, but that’s about it. Around the pool they mostly play older, atmospheric Latin music, which creates a really pleasant holiday vibe instead of the constant loud, pounding music you sometimes get at resorts in the countries mentioned above.
If I had to find any negatives, the main one would be the number of sunbeds and parasols. Unfortunately, unless you “reserve” a sunbed around sunrise, your chances of getting one later are pretty slim. There is plenty of unused space around the pool, so the hotel could easily add at least 50% more sunbeds and parasols without making the area feel crowded. That would probably be the one improvement I’d most like to see.
Amazing week away
WOW. Amazing time had by our family group. We had 2 kids under 5 with us and they have really enjoyed it too.
The buffet meals are excellent, wide range of foods. The pool bar is stocked with pizzas, hotdogs, burgers, chips all day too.The drinks are great too. There’s a shop onsite for basic stuff but an actual mini supermarket only a 2 min walk too. The rooms are well kept and clean.
The Animation Team really make the holiday special. Thank you to Jesus and Team for a wonderful week! Activities for all ages, a pool foam party one evening which was brilliant. Mini disco, bingo, music in the entertainment bar. A lovely bar area with outdoor seating and beautiful views. A kids swing park, a squash court, a gym and plenty of pool tables, arcade games dotted around.
Free shuttle bus daily return to Sotavento beach, and a bus to the zoo down the road for 5 euros.
The only slight annoyance for us is that there are no toilets near the pool. But we were lucky that our room was 2 mins away.
There are lots of stairs here but it is well laid out and easy to find yourself around.
If you’re thinking if going here - You’ll love it! We really did!
Great hotel for families and couples
Location was good, only a 10 minute walk to the African market and 20 minutes to the beach. A free shuttle to and from the beach is available is available twice a day, arranged at reception. Our room was lovely and cleaned daily if we wished. Before we travelled to the hotel, we found out that Love Holidays had not booked us into the Family room we had paid them for, but after I emailed the hotel directly, the hotel very kindly arranged for us to stay in a bigger family room, which accommodated 4 of us very comfortably. The hotel rooms all overlook the pool, which makes it a lovely view when sitting on your balcony. A special shout out to Matteo, who works on reception, very helpful and friendly young man, who tried to help my partner to source a local football team’s shirt. This went above and beyond his job description. The self service on soft drinks, wine and beer was very helpful in creating an easy experience and not having to queue. Food was overall very good, plenty of choices and all fresh each day. The snack bar near to the pool was great for the kids during the day and handy for drinks throughout the day. We hired a Balinese bed 3 times whilst there, which offered an increased level of comfort whilst sunbathing, an added extra was the bottle of fizz that came with it. All in all we had an excellent stay in Hotel Drago Park and we would recommend the hotel to others and we also stay here again.
A win for those who love Salad 🥗!
Great selection of salad and fresh fruit everyday at all meal times, including salad available at the snack pool bar. However, a lack of Vegan and Vegetarian options, food is not labelled with dietary needs (I. E doesn't state what is Ve, V, GF, Halal, Lactose free etc). If you like salad you will be fine, those with allergies or dietary requirements may struggle as their policies state they cannot guarantee they will be able to cater to all. I did notice Soy milk available for cereal at breakfast though!
Better than expected
Lovely hotel, slushies included, ice for drinks readily available, entertainment team are engaging and friendly but don’t put pressure on to join in. Aquacise is good to burn your breakfast calories off and lasts a good few tracks. Night time pool party with foam, pool lights, DJ, shots and cocktails is good fun. Full room cleaning service frequently which is unusual since most hotels removed this extra in lockdown. Variety of food available and there is always something available for the bland beige eaters that walk amongst us. Food intolerances and allergies taken seriously and talked through. All in all a lovely stay.
