In a priviliged beachfront location, bordering Corralejo's natural sand dunes and just 1.7km from the centre of Corralejo, the elegant Gran Hotel Bahia Real 5* Grand Luxe enjoy spectacular views of the tiny island of Lobos and neigbouring Lanzarote. The hotel features tropical gardens, palatial reception rooms and currently boasts the best spa on the island. Situated in an independent wing of the hotel The Bahia Vital Spa provides the perfect balance between mind and body and guests have no choice but to relax. Further relaxation may be enjoyed on the golden sand beach where there are loungers and parasols for guests'use. The hotel offers six restaurants including speciality a la carte restaurants open on alternative evenings, as well as a main buffet style restaurant and the Coco Bahia Lounge & Club located directly on the beach. Young guests are well catered for with a mini club, playground, wii games area (7-14 years) .

Lovely 5 star hotel
This was our fourth visit and the hotel and staff are fabulous as always. Only thing to note is that the wallpaper in the bathrooms needs updating (the moisture has affected it) and some of the communal toilets need a coat of paint in places. Nothing major though and doesn’t detract from this being a 5 star hotel. Great location with a 20 minute coastal walk to Correlejo. Wear trainers. A 30 minute drive from the airport. A big thank you to all of the staff but especially Gloria who cleaned our room (245) - she is lovely, very efficient and found us in reception, after checking out, to return an item that we had left in the room. Thank you Gloria. Also, Eva in the buffet restaurant cooks fantastic omelettes at breakfast. She listens and checks what you want in the omelette before preparing it with a smile. The pool guys are also fantastic. Would highly recommend a visit. Tip: choose the coastal walk when walking to Correlejo as the residential walk feels like it never ends. There is a selection of books (left by guests) in the pool towel hut. The pool staff will let you go inside to look at the books.

A very nice hotel although there are some reservations
This a lovely hotel about 2 klm out of the main town. We had a preferred sea view room which was excellent. This gave us a minibar containing soft drinks and beer which was updated daily. This also allowed a waiter service for eggs in the dining room and coffee/tea with cakes etc every day. The hotel was spotless and the staff very helpful. The grounds are imaculate and the pool aea very well kept. We never had a problem finding a lounger. Our only complaint is that there is very little to do nearby and the evening entertainment usually simply consisted of a singer. I should mention that it was only a few euros into the town itself. The breakfast was superb although we felt that the evening meal was somewhat average. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing stay then this hotel may well be for you.

Ok but could be so much better
As many have already said this is more a 4 star hotel than a five star. If this hotel opened the bars and restaurants it has more often and added more daytime staff the experience would be so much better For example what was clearly a round pool bar which is closed and used for towels. This means the bar at the lunchtime restaurant Seaside Grill has to be the pool bar, there aren’t enough staff. Therefore it very rare to get pool side drink service especially when the restaurant is busy doing lunch This bar keeps its ice loose in a sink, scooping it with your glass or their hands. Not hygienic! Some of the à la carte restaurants are only open two nights a week so it’s hard to get a booking. Most of ours were 9pm which is a bit late. The bar on the pier is only open on Sundays, when there is no wedding it would be good to open it every day.’ We didn’t book a Bali bed as had no confidence that we get served a drink. The cocktails at the bare foot bar are lovely, same cocktails at the seaside grill / pool bar are awful. No cocktail shaker there, just poured in glass as quick as possible! The pool has two bed types, the thinner, newer looking matresses are very uncomfortable. The pool area is quite small really for the size of hotel but sheltered from the wind which is good. As this is a Jet2 indulgent escape and graded as five star we found it generally a bit disappointing

Fabulous hotel
Outstanding hotel, very clean, food exceptional,, location to the beach right on your doorstep. Rooms very well kept and maid service excellent, see view was amazing watching the sunrise, I have walking disabilities and I had no issues getting around the hotel at all. Our gem was Santiago the bar manager, he was so smiley, excellent at cocktails and and very friendly, which made our holiday. We will definitely come back and recommend to our friends. Transfer from the airport was half an hour by taxi and cost about 70 Euros

2nd time and it gets better
Another wonderful stay – exceptional hospitality once again!
Having enjoyed such a remarkable stay at Secrets Bahía Real last October, we were really looking forward to returning this year, and we certainly weren't disappointed!
This time, we opted for the Unlimited-Luxury all-inclusive package rather than half-board, and we felt it offered excellent value for money. It also gave us the opportunity to enjoy the hotel's speciality restaurants, which added a lovely variety to our dining experience.
As vegans, eating out while travelling can sometimes be challenging, particularly in hotels where plant-based choices can be limited. However, we were delighted that all the speciality restaurants were able to accommodate our dietary requirements, and we enjoyed some excellent meals throughout our stay. It was reassuring to find that being vegan didn't mean missing out on the all-inclusive dining experience.
We would particularly like to mention the Seaside Grill, where the team work incredibly hard, often in very busy conditions, while looking after guests throughout the day. A special thank you to Andreas, whose friendly, attentive and professional service really stood out. It's clear how much effort goes into keeping everything running smoothly, and we certainly appreciated it.
Our room was absolutely immaculate throughout our stay, and the housekeeping team deserve enormous credit for maintaining such high standards. The hotel itself remains a beautiful and relaxing place to spend a holiday, with its wonderful setting, lovely surroundings and luxurious atmosphere.
What continues to make Secrets Bahía Real special, however, is its people. From the restaurants and bars to housekeeping and guest services, the warmth and professionalism of the staff make a real difference.
Having now experienced both half-board and all-inclusive, we would definitely choose the all-inclusive option again. The flexibility, variety of restaurants and overall value made an already enjoyable holiday even better.
Two visits, two wonderful experiences. Thank you once again to everyone at Secrets Bahía Real. We very much hope to return!
