Fantastic location. Ignore the negatives it's a wonderful hotel
Wonderful holiday just ignore the negative reviews. We have just returned from our holiday at the Oliva Beach Resort and already planning to return . We arrived after the trauma of only one of our suitcases arriving with us thanks to the baggage handlers not loading our case at Birmingham Airport this was dealt by the Tui rep Jane who tracked it and made sure that we received it a couple of days later.. Checkin at the hotel was swift considering the amount of people and a porter took our luggage over to the annexe it was quite a jaunt up about 4 flights of unlit stairs to our room. The room was very large and exceptionally clean but unfortunately due to the stairs we were moved to a room with a terrace which was handled by the staff with no fuss the following day. We found the annexe to be more suited to families as too quiet at night and not enough outdoor seating in the evening so we spent most of our time at the main hotel and our days were spent on the beautiful beach. Rooms. Very big and spotlessly clean yes a bit old fashioned but you don't go on holiday to admire the furniture Food very good choice and I challenge anybody who says they couldn't find anything to eat. We did enjoy eating in the main hotel though as we thought it was more suited for us proper tablecloths on the tables etc Entertainment. Was inside in a small theatre almost impossible to get a seat so we didn't bother with it. Would prefer some sort of entertainment outside also more outside tables and chairs as we did struggle to find a seat most nights. Overall we had a fantastic holiday. The staff are brilliant the food and drinks were very good couldn't fault the pool areas and the cleanliness everywhere was exceptional. We are definitely planning to return but will stay in the main hotel next time as we preferred it to the Annexe which as I've mentioned we thought was more suitable for families.
A Perfect 3 star Hotel ignore the negatives.
This is one of the most orthentic hotels for old fashioned service with a smile. Yes it's got it's problems but the plus points far outway any negatives. We had booked a high room in the annex area but found that with all the steps up the the room it was a bit much for us and poorly eluminated. We had a word with reception later and they quickly arranged a move to a ground floor for the next day and they moved our luggage for us. (That's great service) Considering the hotel was full. The hotel and all the staff very efficient and always happy from the cleaners to the restaurant staff, bar staff and the reception staff nothing was ever to much for them all a credit the RIU and management. The hotel is spotlessly clean, yes there are a few places round the pools that tiles are missing but with a very busy hotel closing the pool would cause some problems. There is little entertainment around the annex pool because this area is really more suitable for families due to the rooms larger and the bar closes at 11.00.
Next restaurants The Asian restaurant by the annex pool was excellent and main restaurant breakfast, midday and evening meals very good with plenty of choice. The canarian restaurant in the main hotel we never got to use due to our own booking mix up but the normal restaurant in the main hotel was excellent and perhapes a little more choice with tables with tablecloths.
Outside sitting areas of a night become a bit of a problem due to a large area with not enough tables and chairs in part tables having three chairs allocated when people being in 2's and 4's or larger groups. Hence chairs being constantly moved and then tables with no chairs at all. Entertainment was good of a weekend but a little lacking mid week.
Access to the beach was perfect and possibly the best setting you could wish for, plenty of sunbeds at a very reasonable 9 euros for 2 sunbeds and umbrella and a very nice beach bar no part of the hotel.
Overall we will return next year in september again but will book the main hotel if we can for the sea view and convenience. .

Great value all inclusive hotel
Excellent holiday here as usual. Food quality and variety has dropped since my visit last year, which was disappointing. Hake and mussels every night.

A 3 ⭐ advertised as a 4 ⭐
⭐⭐⭐ A 3-star hotel advertised as 4-star We’ve just returned from a stay at the RIU Oliva Beach Resort and, overall, we had a reasonable holiday, but I feel the hotel is more of a 3-star property than the 4-star experience advertised. The hotel is very dated and would benefit from some modernisation. However, credit where it’s due, the cleanliness throughout the hotel is generally very good. Unfortunately, there was a noticeable sewage/drain smell around the main hotel and pool areas, which really let the place down and needs addressing. The food was good, with plenty to choose from, but it became quite repetitive over the course of the week. A little more variety would make a big difference. The entertainment was also mediocre compared with what we’ve come to expect from a RIU hotel. The evening entertainment area felt far too uniform and lacked a relaxed holiday atmosphere. Everyone is seated in neat rows, almost like a cinema setup — all ducks in a row! 🤣 It just didn’t create the cosy, laid-back atmosphere you want when enjoying an evening drink on holiday. On the positive side, the hotel is kept clean, the food is generally good, and the location is lovely. However, the dated facilities, unpleasant drain smell, repetitive food and average entertainment mean we wouldn’t rate this as a 4-star experience. With some investment, more variety and improvements to the evening atmosphere, this hotel could be so much better. We enjoyed our holiday, but our expectations of a RIU 4-star resort were higher.

Great location
Great all inclusive complex, back here after 20 years. Stayed in the hotel part . The rooms are in need of modernisation but are very comfortable and clean, great views from the balcony as we were on top floor. Good food for all inclusive . Speciality restaurants great too. Gardens are well maintained. Reception staff very helpful.
