Barcelo Corralejo Bay

Perfect hotel! We stayed for nine days and it was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had. We stayed half board and the breakfast and evening buffet had plenty of delicious choices. Our room overlooking the pool area was spacious with a lovely bathroom, walk in shower and double sinks.The pool area had two pools, one of them was heated and a small shallow pool to lay in, plenty of sun loungers and staff were strict regarding people leaving towels on and going off for most of the day too. Only a very short walk to the beach or the main road with plenty of shops, restaurants and bars and another few minutes to music square. We watched the evening entertainment in the hotel several evenings and really enjoyed it and as we were not AI we paid for our drinks, but they were so cheap, that was a nice surprise! All the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful, a nice touch was a welcome phone call on our first full day and one the day before we left, also a member of staff, i didn’t notice her name, spoke to us as we arrived for our last evening meal to ask if everything had been ok and had a lovely chat. We have not stayed in an adults only hotel before, but we will again, hopefully this one! Everywhere was so clean and rooms cleaned every day to a high standard. We look forward to returning 😊

Apologies for the delay in sending this review but better late than never! This was my second visit (having visited with my friend in November 2025) and my partner's first visit. Barcelo Corralejo Bay is a wonderful experience, from arrival to checking out all the staff go out of their way to make your stay comfortable, the waitresses/waiters, chefs, bar staff, cleaners, gardeners etc, always friendly and helpful. The food is probably the best we have had at an AI hotel and the lunches in the pool bar are exceptional. My partner and I would like to mention a few of the staff whose names we can remember - Tarek, Bruno, Guglielmo, Driss, Francisca and pool bar chefs Sergio, Santiago, Carlos and Santi. The hotel is spotless throughout and the rooms are large with plenty of storage and a lovely walk-in shower. I am not a 'pool person' but my partner enjoyed a couple of 'dips', he also used the gym facilities which he said were of a high standard. I prefer to sit and read and because there is no intrusive music around the pool it makes for a very tranquil atmosphere, there are also several seating areas around the complex ideal for relaxing and reading. The hotel is situated within a few minutes walk of the beach, the main shopping street and Campanario shopping centre (about 8 minutes walk) where there is a lovely craft market on Thursday and Sunday. The evening entertainment was very enjoyable, as was the harpist in the restaurant one evening. My partner had a minor complaint which Leah dealt with in a highly professional manner, she is a credit to the hotel - and thank you for the Cava and chocolates left in our room on our last day! I will be returning in November with my friend and I am sure my partner and I will be booking for 2027! Thank you Barcelo Corralejo Bay for a lovely stay!

This was our 2nd visit to this fantastic hotel and it sure didn't disappoint 2nd time around. The whole hotel is kept spotlessly clean and the food offering is plentiful and the pool bar at lunchtime is awesome with everything cooked to order. The pool area is kept very clean and washed down everyday, its lovely that there is not a mad rush for sunbeds at stupid a clock in the morning. The staff here work so hard, a special mention to Bruno, Driss and cheeky Juan are always so helpful and have time to have a chat with a smile on their face. The quality of the entertainment at the hotel is excellent in the evening, also this year there was a harp player sometimes in the evening in the restaurant which was nice. Also one afternoon around the pool they had a lady playing electric like steel drums which was great. Leah the Guest Relations Manager is so helpful and is always visible and goes the extra mile is chatting to you and asking if everything is ok, nothing is too much trouble. Leah is an absolute credit to this hotel. The hotel is a great location very central for the main strip, beach and Music Square. If you have a problem don't spread idle gossip (as we heard a few people doing and we put them right) go and talk to Leah it can be resolved. Roll on next year when we will return again.
